I wore #23 at Naperville North back in the 80s because I loved how humble he was. It was all about how he played, go out there, make a play, and do your best, nothing more. My favorite player of all time.

I went that statue reveal game three and a half hours early to make sure I can attend the ceremonies in Gallagher Way, but the line was so long I wasn't sure I would get a bobblehead, so I waited in the sun for a long time at the right field gate on Addison and Sheffield and was the 11th person in line. The fan in front of me did everything wrong regarding going over the security screening process that ten people to my right went and got Sandberg bobbles and I was losing my mind. I'm a grown man and I was getting so heated over....a bobblehead lol. It was the one you can't miss!
