@@dnavarro972 and @LinkRocks, the Rangers probably miss the playoffs and definitely don’t win it without Montgomery last year. I don’t think they have more or better quality innings penciled into the rotation this year. Moving forward without him makes the Rangers look more like the 2022 iteration than 2023.
Bauer would definitely improve the ball club, on the field and in the clubhouse. He’s scientific in his approach and shows interest in improving players around him. Bauer puts you in position to win games and he is willing to earn every cent. That’s the kind of character the Rangers want.
Also, for a club trying to create more content to fill a revenue gap in the wake of the Bally Sports bankruptcy, Bauer is an obvious fit. Much rather watch him than Chris Young have a meeting that could have been an email…
