Second comment - I no longer grow lettuce. I grow chard, beets, radishes and turnips then use the cut and come again method to enjoy those greens in salads, soups andon sandwiches. Chard is my ABSOLUTE favorite! ❤
I've found that using a raised bed for carrots makes a big difference! You can't let the seeds dry out. Some people cover them with cardboard to prevent them from getting dried out until they start coming up. Good luck!

i am in NE Tx 9a/8b. i have broccoli, swiss chard, radishes, lettuce, spinach, turnips, peas, collards, carrots, cilantro, parsley growing now. my cukes & beans are just now dying back from their fall run.
@@miltonwelch8619 Cabbage is another great addition for fall/winter gardening but I didn't want to make the list too long. Glad YOU know how good cabbage is for fall/winter gardening. I think I am with you about lettuce. Why do you no longer grow lettuce? I am sticking with chard. It survives pest and in 9b can harvest year round.

It really depends on your grow zone. If you do plant greens use starts not seeds. You'll have a better chance at success. Thanks for watching!
