Jerra i love how u packed so much info in one video and your videos dont drag on with wordiness. To the point and bam. Done. It makes it great to listen to. Thanks for sharing your knowledge w us. ❤
You are a HUGE HELP!! Thank you & God bles!!❤ I ACCIDENTALLY discovered some items that grow & love the cold!! My cherry tomatoes are growing like crazy!! My okra just a week ago stopped fruit but the flowers keep blooming & are big & beautiful! And my potatoes 🥔 are finally growing!! I had no idea! I have tomato plants starting all over my garden on its own-it’s Beautiful!! I live in Southern Illinois & just got my soil growable from Clay, after 4 years of working on it. So I’m ordering some seeds from you! I’m so excited! I’m lost without my garden in the winter , ya know?! 😅 so thank you dear so much!! What a blessing you are!!❤❤
I am so grateful and thankful to you for providing your in depth gardening info as well as your wide variety of seeds that grow so well here in our Florida 10a zone! Don't know how you keep up with it all. Looking forward to the new cooking channel!
My garden has thrived since watching your channel! I’m in 9a and most of the “hot climate” varieties you recommend do incredibly well here. Thank you!!
Very informative I will be moving to Ocala in a few months and will be doing some gardening. You give me hope that vegetables and other plants will grow there. I have been getting negative response from friends who already lives there that nothing will grow there. I am coming from the Miami area where I grew a lot of things. thank you again for providing indebt knowledge.
If you were able to grow things in Miami, it will be easier in Ocala. Miami weather and heat is a little more extreme. Plus, you dont have to worry about iguanas anymore LOL
@@JerrasGarden I just enjoy eating them raw, plain, fresh in the garden. even my picky eater son who does not like vegetables enjoys fresh raw beet greens ironically.
Thank you for this info. Will be planting some of them. By the way, purple looks very nice on you Cute outfit! Yes, you inspired me and I am going out today to do some planting. I am in the low AX desert so this IS my planting season. Spring and summer gardening is horrific here. I spend the time just trying to keep plants alive! then!
Aw thanks! I love color. That is how my summer is, just trying to get things to survive but I have found lots of crops that tolerate the high heat and still produce.
I got so excited and started a bunch of seeds inside for the first time ever. I have bush beans starts, tomato’s and jalapeño starts. Can I grow them inside until I can move them out in spring? Zone 9a
You always have the best most informative videos! Thank you so much for all the work you put into them. I had forgotten about Tatsoi. I’m going to look at that now. I have a very difficult time growing peas for some reason. If you have any other tips or tricks to grow them it would be appreciated.
New subscriber. I enjoyed your video. I am a cold climate gardener. Can't wait to plant my pok choy. It didn't do well this past summer 😮. I didn't know it didn't like heat. Lol.
Thanks, I learned a lot. This is my first year winter gardening in zone 9 Gulfport, Ms. I have a kitchen bed, a mustard bed and a broccoli bed so far. I'm setting up a couple bed for garlic and onions. Hope I haven't bitten of too much for my first attempt!
New Sub here. So thankful I found your channel, it is just packed with valuable information. I look forward to purchasing some of your seed to plant here in North Florida. ❤
My husband says it freezes here 17 inches deep!! I guess I can’t grow anything now, right? He says my coverage wouldn’t even help save them. Any advice?? Thank you!👍
In all the yrs i have been gardening i have never heard Orlando as zone 10a. We are zone 9 some list us as 9b. South Florida is zone 10. My daughter lives in Lakeland which is south of Orlando and they are still 9b. As we DO get frost and have some freezing we cannot be zone 10. Miami or S fl does not get freezes or frosts. Maybecin a severe winter they may get a light frost.
We do get at least 1, Hard Frost per Winter in South Florida. Lived in Miami 35 years, 11 years near Fort Lauderdale now. You haven't lived till you have seen the frozen IGUANAS falling out of the trees! The local news issues a safety warning about this in the hard frosts. Doesn't happen often, mostly west of the turnpike, but it's a real phenomenon!
Hey Jerra! Direct sow beets or start in trays? I had a really lovely set going in trays but they died during Milton while I was without power for 8 days. Thanks!!
Could you do a video on growing and pruning morninga at some point? I have a very small yard but want to grow it. I understand I can prune to keep it more bush-like. Thank you!
I have a video showing how I harvest moringa and cut it down etc....Just hack it down, trust me it is not going to die. It will cause it to grow lots of new leaves which is what you want to harvest. ua-cam.com/video/oiDPnLGB1eA/v-deo.html
I just started several trays yesterday, and I’m now including a larger percentage to growing plants through the winter too. Why? Because we are in a friggin’ live or die game of climate craps. I suspect there will be a tipping point, a huge price to be paid for stripping/leaching off the topsoil, and BiG Corp mono-cropping. It’s not Earth’s first rodeo.

And here I thought I was too late for a Fall garden!!! Thanks for all the info.
Awesome! I'm in zone 9a; just planted, swiss-chard, red-romaine lettuce, butter-crunch lettuce, red-cabbage, collard-greens, cilantro, dill.
Great choices!

Yes they are. Anything in particular you like to make with beet greens?

Tong Ho/mums is really popular with hot pot too. Hot pot in the winter is my favorite thing.
Yes! I grow this during the spring and the flowers are pretty too.
I love sweet peas growm at home. At my home they never make it into the house either. This season I am planting many more plants.

Video idea - Edible perennials to plant in November.
Love your videos. So much info, I always have to take notes. I’m in Clermont, would love to visit your garden
wow you are amazing. Great video. i have subscrinbed.
Omg there is a restaurant I go to that serves fresh hummus with endive leaves for dipping instead of chips. its phenomenal
I will have to try endive leaves with hummus!

It is considered a cool season crop like lettuce and spinach. But it has more heat tolerance than both of those.
When do we harvest Tromboncino Rampicante. Green or orange? Or both but which is best?
your video is so informative i love them when is the best time to plant moringa
Thanks so much you help me a lot you’re videos are very helpful to me in this hard 11 zone l live

Wonderful video girl I really appreciate all the effort you put into it

I love your monthly What to Plant videos. I always see something I never really thought about for the month. Keep Growing! ♥
I have been purchasing those smalll broccoli and have been very disappointed. I love the old fashioned big jead broccoli.
We don't always get snow but we do get under 32 degree sometimes
Same in my garden. One or two nights might drop down to 30F for only a few hours but no snow.
Thank you Jerra! Great content as always!

I love to stir fry pea shoots with bacon 😋
Oh wow what a combination! I will have to try that.
I’m pretty sure ANYTHING fried in bacon is then delicious (especially if u don’t know what it is ;)

I run Christmas Lights on the ground under my tropicals & cover them with sheets during the cold snaps. Gingers hate Temps under 50°🍃
Thanks for the information. I’m new to gardening. I should’ve listen to my dad growing up. What sights you recommend to buy seeds.
I'm a seed and plant nursery so you can easily find the same things I am growing and show in my videos. Check out my website www.jerrasgarden.com
I’m in zone 5 Northern Ontario

Zone 10 that's possibly the Single most important fact. My zone 7 brassicas had to go in the ground at the beginning of October.
I plant mine in October too

Hi. I just got a juicer and was watching your videos 😀
@@JerrasGardenyay!! I do a horrible job on UA-cam with posting but definitely on instagram and TikTok 😊.
Do you still have strawberry plants?
No I am sold out for the season
Hi
Hard or soft neck garlic ?
If your up north plant hard neck. If your down south with mild winters, plant soft neck.
