Yeah when you're in a life or death situation, and your life depends on another person cooperating, you have no choice but to be open minded to who they are
@@Dave_of_Mordor that also shows how much positive normal life we miss irl too just because we're not in desperate situations. It's pointless and dark in its own self
I'm going to be honest. It's impossible to change your sex. Trans women will never understand what the female body feels like to us (monthly cycles, cramps, 9 month pregnancies, ovarian cysts, etc). BUT that doesn't mean I lose respect. I'll respect your wishes to be labeled a woman. I'll call you she, her, etc. I'll speak to you like I speak to anyone else, with respect (unless of course you don't deserve it for some reason). The mom in the beginning said nothing wrong though. She was simply asking why one would want to change their sex. She doesn't understand why. He'll, I don't fully understand why either. If I want to dress more masculine or behave more masculine, I just do it. I don't need surgery to do that. But others feel they do need the sex change. So more power to them. I may not agree, but I can respect.
@@sallyj632 You are not trans, obviously you do not see our point of view. You do not know our experience. That is the part you should respect. The way they unfolded Hyun Ju's backstory (Player 120) was brilliantly done in my opinion. Above everything else, It humanized her and illustrated to the audience that she was just as much a person as you or I. Just someone trying to establish their own value in this world and going through similar hardships (more in her situation), while fighting to be accepted, treated as an equal, and be loved all the same. Director Hwang didn't have to include a trans character at all in his world. But the fact that he paid lip service to one of these many social and economic inequalities in our society in such a gentle, realistic, and tender way, was simply a stroke of genius.
Yeah his first two attempts were with his right hand and both failed horribly, then he tried with his left hand and got it right immediately... sneaky sneaky
I wasn't paying attention to right vs left hand, but I knew immediately he was failing on purpose. He just wanted to see what 456 would do under pressure. It's like he's studying him to see how he won in season 1.
The real reason is because the actor is left handed when they were recording this scene they told him don’t let it spin but he kept getting it everytime with the left he couldn’t fail so he switched to the right hand
To be fair, the frontman was the one who gaslit gi-hun and everyone into thinking the game would be the same with the whole "I stayed because of you, you did it before so you toooootally know what the next game is right? >:D"
Hi, trans woman here, I follow you since years before starting transitionning, back when you started GOT 😅. I got emotionnal seeing Nikki get emotional. You know a true mama when the mere idea if rejecting your child, especially just for who they are, makes you sick to your stomach. My parents are supportive, even if they can be a little clumsy but I know they mean well and they love me as I do them. But I know some trans folks who were not that lucky and were rejected or even thrown out on the streets. It's messed up 😢. As for the show, while of course I would have preferred to see a trans actress for the role, I absolutely adore Hyun-Ju's character and I think the actor does a fantastic job, especially as from what I gathered he usually plays ruthless villains. I was very happy with this representation. I won't spoil you as obviously you've seen it all by now, but I really like from episode 3 where she selflessly helps the guy shot in the leg to her efficiency as a leader in the game to her badassery in the last one, as well as her genuine kindness while having suffered so much from society, I can watch her and say (while crying a lot, let's say it's HRT's fault) YES THAT'S MY TRANS SISTERS ! I mean I don't want it to sound like praising myself, but judging by most trans people I know (especially trans women, men and enby folks too, but we get a SPECIAL kind of struggle), you've got there the strongest, bravest, toughest, yet most gentle, kind, caring and generous souls you will ever meet. I've never seen a group getting so much hate and violence, and demonization, yet choosing to 1.still be who they are, even if it means losing everything, and 2. still spread love and kindness and help and support around them. Six legs was by far the most stressful game for me. Like ridiculous levels of stress. But the Grandma and 120 are quickly becoming two of my favorite side characters. They’re great. Also GiHung’s best friend. I also wondered if the front man was failing on purpose. I didn’t notice the left hand right hand thing, but I know he’s been trying to get to know GiHung and how he works in his psyche and everything like that. I agree with someone else’s theory that said he wanted to see how he would do under pressure and how he won last time. I know he’s a terrible person, but I actually really started to like the front man by the time the season was over. He just did such a good job of being charismatic and charming and getting on our good side. I almost forgot who he was. And I actually got kind of emotional when all of the players started chanting with the people who were doing the game. And the way 120 comforted the other girl. And then at the end when the two last teams were egging each other on. Yeah this game was just a lot of emotions for me.
The front man has probably set up the games just like the old man did in the first season all their favorite games these are the front mans favorite games from childhood
I'm a Spanish woman, but I understand English perfectly (well, except for some accents). So, when I was little, I watched all content dubbed into Spanish, but when I started to have a good level of English, I began watching content in its original version. I realized I preferred it and started to look down on the existence of dubbing... Until I became a fan of a UA-camr who talks about movies in a humorous tone and who, coincidentally, happens to be a Spanish dubbing actor. What this UA-camr talked about in his live streams on Twitch helped me understand that dubbing is also a form of acting, so I began to respect the profession, even though I personally prefer watching English-speaking content in its original version. In the end, with English-speaking content, this is what I do: when I’m alone, I watch it in its original version, but when I’m with someone who wants to watch it dubbed in Spanish, I watch it dubbed in Spanish. BUT Squid Game is a Korean show, and I don’t speak Korean, so... I always watch Squid Game dubbed in Spanish. Since most famous content is English-speaking, I think Spanish dubbing actors are better prepared for dubbing than English dubbing actors, but I’m not entirely sure because I never watch anything dubbed into English.
But if your English is good, why don't you just watch Squid Game in its original language with English subtitles? It will always sound better in its original language, no matter how good the dubbing might be.
“Six Legs” is the most challenging game in my opinion. You have to be super-precise, but also quick. The team can get right up to the edge of the finish line, then run out of time.
I saw on another channel that the front man is left handed (when he pours his drink in his control room, etc) but he uses his right hand to wind the top the first 2 times. Then he switches hands and is successful
Nikki said "They are not gonna kill frontman" but guess what, not even the pinksoldiers know what the front man looks like. They are all in masks remember. Even in season 1, on the cliff, when he took his mask off to reveal himself to his brother, he put it back on, those behind him didn't even see his face then.
Ok, maybe the square manager knows the face of the front man. Afterall, when the frontman turned on the rest, he stared at the one camera at the substitute frontman, before saying "let' wrap things up"
@@msl1689 That was interesting to see too, but I wonder how and when he saw the frontman before. Was going to say, maybe a back story will be explored in season 3, even though he got killed.
I noticed during the game with the Mother and Son the dubbed version says, "imagine that's the other woman's hair and snatch it." Not her face, like the subtitle said.
I'm just not in the camp of people who believe that the Front Man was acting when he was hitting himself. I think thats a preview to a flashback yet to come where we learn that the Front Man was abused if he didn't perfect these games. Also would make sense that the abuser was Oh Il Nam. I thought season 2 executed it's purpose perfectly, setting up Season 3 and the finale. Can't wait to finish this show.
I love this episode bc it's the one that encompasses the main theme of the season. Frontman is trying to prove to Gihun that the games aren't that evil bc ppl have a choice to play while Gihun knows that's not true that these rich ppl manipulate desperate ppl to play and bc killers like with Sangwoo 😢. By allowing them to vote after each game Frontmen is telling Gihun 'see it's ppl who choose to play!" But that's B.S bc it's the illusion of choice. Frontmen manipulated the games by inserting himself and voting to continue to play after the first game. So now ppl feel a bit overconfident bc they just came from winning a second game and their desperation is clouding their own survival instinct given them the illusion of choice that just one more game will leave in the next one. That's why we see characters who we have associated with as good ppl voting yes like Gihun friend and player 120. Also ppl who are genuinely scared and wanted to leave since game 1 were robbed of the choice to leave.
When Gi-hun offered everyone on his immediate team the help that they needed to pay off their debts if they voted to leave the game, it made me wonder about something!! I wonder HOW MUCH the entire room's debt would be if accumulated all together!!?? The old man, number 100, has 10 billion in debt, which is only a little less than 1/4 of the amount that Gi-hun won in the first games!! So I wonder if the entire room's debt would STILL be enough for Gi-hun to pay off everyone's debt, ESPECIALLY when you include the money that they will split up by ending the game right here!!? It's an interesting thought!! I wonder if anyone's done the math!??😮😮
I still wonder what would've happened if Gi-Hun's team didn't win 6 legs, because I'm sure the workers wouldn't shoot The Frontman/001, right? Same as Oh Il-Nam in season 1. When they "shot" him, it was out of view of everyone so it was easy to fake. With 001, he was literally tied to 4 other players lol. Unless that's why they had his team go last, so they could just shoot Gi-Hun and the other 3 without any audience there to see Frontman not being shot.
The front man made them go last so that way if they did fail he could’ve had them killed and just went back to front man without everyone knowing it was him
I like that the camera operators have a dedicated button to cover up cameos footage they don't want seen. Nobody finds this suspicious? And what's the point? Is Human Resources going to request the footage if she submits a complaint. They are killing people in these games. Why would they care if a couple of soldiers are fighting in the dorms?
As a 40 year old asian man, I get asked about my skin all the time. We use nothing :). Maybe the shampoo that falls on our face when we shower and that's about it!
Think about it though. Mingle. If they call out 8 people, and there are an uneven number of players... I'll stop, but that was my thought after episode 5.
@ohsfer11820 Death's game, Sweet Home, Queen of tears, Vigilante, Vincenzo, My name, A shop for killers, All of us dead, The Glory. J-drama Alice in borderland.
I couldn't watch these reactions who wants to read all the subtitles and not watching it with American dubbed version your really missing out it give the show a slightly spoofed feeling 😂it's great!
When you finish this you need to check out Alice in borderlands. SG seems to have gotten the most hype, but seriously, AiB is a better show. They are different so it’s hard to compare directly and it does come down to personal preference.
@ that’s a fair assessment but like I said, it comes down to personal preference. I prefer the storyline of AiB and the world building. SG season 2 did improve their world building though. They both have great characters and interesting concepts. Both are great shows.
I did not know that 120 was Trans and when i found out i was like oh snap! and she became my favorite character later on And that's how a character should be introduced!! Not that Forced In your face DEI type stuff that they been showing lately on the shows
It's so sad though when representation needs to be even considered forced. Every type of people can be badly or unnecessaryly added in any movie. But "forced" Is actually so forced to certain people's representations, like when you think about it, the idea of forced come first before the idea of "unnecessary/badly written" That we decently criticise normalised characters with. So that's another little thing too actually
@Catastrophic_31 im only saying that because if you haven't noticed This new DEI woke stuff has been plaster all over us to the point that if you don't like it somehow you're a the bad guy and you get labeled with slurs And that's supposed to coming from the people who preach about peace & equality??? 🤨🤨🤨🤨 I respect everyone orientation. What I don't respect is when you try to force it on me and telling me I have to like it But the correct answer is no I don't. I can choose to like it or not. You will not take away that decision from me. And that is what DEI is trying to do, and that is why I hate dislike them
@Catastrophic_31 i'm only saying that, because in case you have a notice this whole new DEI stuff has been plastered all over us to the point that we are forced to like it.And if we don't somehow, we are the bad people, and we are labeled with slurs. But the truth is, I don't have to accept it. I can tolerate it. I can choose to like it or not. Or I can accept it in the end, it's my choice. And that is what DEI trying to take away from us. OUR CHOICE! And I will not stand by that
@@Catastrophic_31 One thing I find frustrating is when people watch a representation of a character and immediately dismiss it as 'forced,' even when it isn’t. While a representation can sometimes be poorly written, that doesn’t automatically make it 'forced.' I’ve noticed a trend where people praise a representation simply because 'it’s not forced,' and I can’t help but think, 'No one is forcing anything on you, it’s entirely your choice to engage with it.' On the other side, when a well-written representation comes along, the same people will say, 'Now this is how you write a character without forcing it down our throats.' But again, no one is imposing anything on you, regardless of whether the character is well-written or not. It feels like the term 'forced' is being overused and misapplied in these discussions.

(possible spoiler alert) That one pink soldier on episode 7 (the young one) also recognised the frontman.
@@msl1689 That was interesting to see too, but I wonder how and when he saw the frontman before. Was going to say, maybe a back story will be explored in season 3, even though he got killed.
This game was my favorite in the show, everyone was so hyped for the ones playing.
I noticed during the game with the Mother and Son the dubbed version says, "imagine that's the other woman's hair and snatch it." Not her face, like the subtitle said.
That's actually what they say, the subtitles were L
This is one of my favorite episodes in season 2!
After next episode this song will get stuck in ur brain forever 🤣🤣🤣
21:33 for real…. wtf was he thinking
And thus, the greatest song ever was born..... ring-a-ring-a-riiiiiinggg
I’dk If more people notice frontman throwing the toy with his right hand, but when he shot his brother he did with his left.
I could spin a top in grade school but I'd be shot trying now.😄
I'm assuming had front man failed, the guards would kill all the players in the room except for him. Leaving no witnesses.
Love the fact that we do sub content :)
I want to see a Simon Says game. It'd be similar to Red Light Green Light (every man for himself, no teams).
Bro and sis please dont make us wait too long for Squid Game episodes😅 I was waiting for your reaction😅
The front man made them go last so that way if they did fail he could’ve had them killed and just went back to front man without everyone knowing it was him
Could you guys please react to 2016 Magnificent 7 The Frontman is there, he is also in G.I. Joe Retaliation. But I never saw that one😅
He is also T-1000 in Terminator genesys
Pink guards are so cute here.... In general they cute but dangerous...
Always love your reactions! Hopefully you can watch Alice in Borderlands too
Did that series ever end?
Are you guys in any danger from the wildfiresd? Hope you're safe.
Wild version of musical chairs , Mingle
Nikki is the female Thanos 🤣🤣🤣
Think about it though. Mingle. If they call out 8 people, and there are an uneven number of players... I'll stop, but that was my thought after episode 5.
You should do more kdramas
Suggest a kdrama cause there's a lot. I do like the historicals
@ohsfer11820 Death's game, Sweet Home, Queen of tears, Vigilante, Vincenzo, My name, A shop for killers, All of us dead, The Glory. J-drama Alice in borderland.
The Glory! I can imagine it absolutely infuriating Nikki. Kingdom is fun too.
Extraordinary Attorney Woo is a great one that I think Nikki would LOVE!
All of us are Dead! Extremely well produced zombie k-drama on Netflix.
I stopped playing COD online because it's so sweaty that you will think people are in the 'Squid Game' where they play like their life depends on it.
Love your reaction!!! React to Wicked plzzzz
The thing is all the othe player see the weakest group can succeed the game as the ligh of hope for players to win
my favorite is gi hun all day
Wait, are they watching the undubbed version this time? They watched season 1 dubbed, if I remember.
Yes they are
How about watching the Superman Trailer?
I couldn't watch these reactions who wants to read all the subtitles and not watching it with American dubbed version your really missing out it give the show a slightly spoofed feeling 😂it's great!
Please react on money heist!!!U will love it for sure!!
What happens on the English dubb is that the dubbers don't know how act.😊

When you finish this you need to check out Alice in borderlands. SG seems to have gotten the most hype, but seriously, AiB is a better show. They are different so it’s hard to compare directly and it does come down to personal preference.
I feel like Squid Game has more of a point/plot where as AiB has more elaborate set pieces
@ that’s a fair assessment but like I said, it comes down to personal preference. I prefer the storyline of AiB and the world building. SG season 2 did improve their world building though. They both have great characters and interesting concepts. Both are great shows.
You guys REALLY need to watch Alice in Borderland, x10 better than squid game and a true masterpiece :)
His name is pronounced G-Hun .,. Not Gian.. it’s not Ian with a g
Guys please watch Monster (2023) pleasee
FIRST
second ❤️
I did not know that 120 was Trans and when i found out i was like oh snap! and she became my favorite character later on
And that's how a character should be introduced!!
@Catastrophic_31 im only saying that because if you haven't noticed
This new DEI woke stuff has been plaster all over us to the point that if you don't like it somehow you're a the bad guy and you get labeled with slurs
And that's supposed to coming from the people who preach about peace & equality??? 🤨🤨🤨🤨
I respect everyone orientation. What I don't respect is when you try to force it on me and telling me I have to like it
But the correct answer is no I don't.
And this is coming from a group that preaches about peace and equality???🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨
I respect everyone's orientation. What I don't respect is when you're trying to force me to like it, and telling me I have to accept it.
But the truth is, I don't have to accept it. I can tolerate it. I can choose to like it or not. Or I can accept it in the end, it's my choice.
And that is what DEI trying to take away from us. OUR CHOICE! And I will not stand by that
@@Catastrophic_31 It's a dog whistle.
@@Catastrophic_31 One thing I find frustrating is when people watch a representation of a character and immediately dismiss it as 'forced,' even when it isn’t. While a representation can sometimes be poorly written, that doesn’t automatically make it 'forced.' I’ve noticed a trend where people praise a representation simply because 'it’s not forced,' and I can’t help but think, 'No one is forcing anything on you, it’s entirely your choice to engage with it.'
On the other side, when a well-written representation comes along, the same people will say, 'Now this is how you write a character without forcing it down our throats.' But again, no one is imposing anything on you, regardless of whether the character is well-written or not. It feels like the term 'forced' is being overused and misapplied in these discussions.

I also hope you’re ready to have theMingo song stuck in your head forevver.
