Awesome! Enjoy, hope the weather treats you good! And remember to bring physical cash for those spots - there's no card machine, just a letterbox on a fence post 😅!
Love Lewis - the community shops also (suprisingly!) cater for all diets - even in the middle of nowhere. We're looking forward to heading back there in a few week :)!

Hey guys! Sorry for the delay in responding! Thanks so much for the kind words ♥️♥️! We're sure you'll love Ireland if you loved Scotland, it's just got increasingly amazing each week and the further we've traveled! Hope you're enjoying Senegal and you're big adventure!
@@TheseWildJourneys Good morning! No pressure on repsonding! You are on big travels, so enjoy that and dont hurry for the online world - there is no need! We are very excited about your upcoming Video
Love this! New questions and thoughts: 1. What is bardcore? 2. Do you have to have cash on you for these honesty boxes? 3. Are you that old now that you can't stay up till midnight for a sunset? 4. ...what was on your foot jack? 5. Was the seaweed nice? 6. Jo saying what we're all thinking 'oh here we go again' 7. Reef beach looks like its straight out of Aus! 8. Harris gin is sooooo good That's all for now!
Hahah 1. Imagine your favourite pop hits, reimagined and played through medieval instruments.. 2. Always have cash with you! 3. Definitely, the gin didn't help though 4. Hahaha might have to rewath this..? 5. Delightful, I'll forage some next time we're with you! 6. 🤣 7. Crazy ain't it! 8. So good - no hangover! And it's infused with sugar kelp, which we ended up foraging!
@@TheseWildJourneys yeah, I think we were there at almost the exact same time. It just started howling wind and rain for the last few days on Harris and Lewis, it was so amazing before that!
@@GoingTheWholeHogg Soooo amazing! I think we're always gonna go back at the same time as this year. We did it the year prior, and we had a week of sunshine then, too. So beautiful when the suns shining!
loved the video. Just a tip, if you want to see whales and dolphins then tiumpan head on the east coast is where to go, there's residents that patrol that coast
@@TheseWildJourneys Fantastic. Only our second time on the Outer Hebs. Brilliant wildlife, really friendly people, and the best beaches I’ve ever seen. Looking forward to your Irish adventures. Hope you have a great time 👍
It's such an incredible place to visit! We've been twice now, and have got pretty lucky with the weather! (It's not always this sunny and beautiful!) We did a week in total on Lewis and Harris this time, and we managed to fit in everything we wanted to, including a few rest days! If you have longer, then over 2 and a bit weeks you could squeeze in the Uists too!
Please read the rules for visiting in motorhomes or campervans on the outer hebrides . You’ll see that there’s no wildcamping allowed in motorhomes or campervans. You’re asked to book somewhere to stay before you come. People parked in the Machair last year and destroyed parts of it. . The council have provided places to park up for a minimal amount t and also Aires. There were people emptying toilet cassettes in ditches and in lay-bys so the islanders are pretty fed up now. They also removed gates and parked on crofts, acrosss croft gates which was rectified by them being moved by farming machinery. Just tonight there were 6 parked at the local beach taking up the carpark. You might be lucky and not he approached by the locals or the police but as it says in the info there are some beautiful park up spots to be had and I’d encourage everyone to use them. You’ll get people saying oh we had no problem but that is changing because of the behaviour of some sorry www.visitouterhebrides.co.uk/planning-your-trip/motorhomes

Hi. Love your trip on the island. It’s unforced us snd we’ve booked the ferries snd go at the end of March. We want to spend a couple of nights at the camping spot arguing bay and on benbecula past seal point. Have you got any directions for those. We arrive in Stornaway and then head across to of bay
Do you realise @TheseWildJourneys that there are plans for the island to be industrialised. 3-400 wind turbines being built on the island and the accompanying infrastructure. Gone will be the dark skies and views😢
its quite a pity that people like you, make a video then ruin it with noise, I suspect that you call it music. such videos without noise/music are the best, although I should not imagine that you understand, or appreciate natural sounds.
Hi Ron - thanks for contributing to the discovery of this video by commenting on it! It might surprise you that other people have different tastes when it comes to creating a video. And, before writing a comment, you must understand the difficulties in "recording nature sounds" Although perhaps you don't understand or appreciate how hard that can be on a windy island without specialist recording equipment? Of course, unlike you, we wouldn't say such mean things to a stranger on the internet. Hope you have a lovely day and discover some more videos that you prefer!

Great video all. Think we were up there roughly the same time. Stunning weather. I think your eagle was a Sea Eagle based on the shape of it’s tail.

Hey! We're no good at directions - sorry! But google maps should get you there - there's not too many roads on Lewis & Harris :)!
Looks fantastic but you need to drop the 'e' from whisky!!!
An astute spot! I blame the American translation software, either that, or we've become naturalised to the spelling in Ireland already!
How have you gone on with midges?
It's been alright so far! Only one evening when they were flying about, but apart from that, by the coast it's been ok! 🤞
Which month did you travel ?
We were here early June time, having been to the outer Hebrides twice now, during June, we reckon that's a pretty good time to visit!
What pub did you go to in Stornaway, or can you. It remember? 🥴😉
The Harbour View (I think!) - nice little spot!
