I'm struggling to see where to join for the ribbing. I can't quite tell from the video

I'm having a hard time seeing where to actually attach the yarn for the ribbing... you don't show you attaching it, you go from one view of the stocking to the next one already being attached. I get this may not be a beginner pattern, but for this video to be labeled a tutorial, it would help a lot to see where to actually attach and join. This is just one of the many times it was hard to see something you were trying to show. But I was able to figure out the other parts... would be nice to follow along.

My puf stitch in the stackt stitch looks weard in the end iit “comes” out my hexy
I am making the traditional granny hexagons, & they’re coming out very wavy. Is that normal? Will it smooth out when blocking? Or is my hook too small?

Hi!! Love the pattern… I’ve never done a stacked single crochet. Does it make a huge visual difference when using the stacked single crochet versus chaining two or just a double crochet?
Yes it does! It makes for a cleaner edge. But you can always substitute with a chain two if you prefer.

I'm really excited to try this! My husband and I got married in 2022, but didn't get stockings last year cause we don't really have a mantel/area to put them. We still don't, but I have been thinking about it and knowing I'd want something I could get more of for kids down the road without having them be mis-matched. Making them myself is the perfect solution!!
@katiebygrace I've never had a mantle growing up, so we put the stockings on our sofa. My daughter hangs them on the wall quite nicely until Christmas and then puts them on the sofa.
It's perfect for that one person that has everything!!

Im confused. The pattern on your website under supplies says H hook. Is there a reason u are using a G hook in the video instead? I know i can use whatever hook i want, whether preference or for gauge, but l wasnt expecting the hook in the video to be different
And in the video description she says 4.00MM, which in my hooks is an F 😭
It might be depending on what weight yarn you use, I used a G with Medium (4) yarn and it was a little tight but still worked up fine
@IthilwenRose in crochet you can use any hook and any yarn combination that you want. The size of your item will change depending upon the choice you made.

I'm making this pattern at the moment and mine seems overly hole-y. Have I don't something wrong?
Same. I have taken it apart 4 different times. I finally had to sit it down. 😢
I’ve worked up a hex in both patterns and feel the same. Personally, debating a heavier yarn weight, which I think might diminish the appearance of the chain gaps, but I think some amount of hole is normal in the granny square style. (Not an expert though.)
I tried both of them again since commenting. I just can’t seem to get that last row aligned right. Something isn’t adding up for me. I did the first 2 circles and then single stitched 3 more rows to get the shape… but not I can’t get the flattened slip stitch. I am sure it is me… but I just can’t get it right. It’s a beautiful stocking. But it’s driving me nuts!!!
@tnarepus1 I ended up completing it but had the same problem that the final row that completes the toe doesn't sit right. I'm not completely happy with it but it is definitely a Xmas stocking
@tnarepus1 yeah I'm making a second one now. I changed up the join to something I'm more comfortable with that still sits flat. But that last row of two for the heel and toe of the stocking is driving me insane. I'd love for the creator to reply and help us out!

I'm making this with the traditional granny square pattern currently, and I'm having a lot of trouble with the ribbing pulling and bulging in different spots, it does not want to lay flat 😓
If it’s bulging you might need to adjust your tension or go down a hook size.

Do you have the written instructions anywhere? The last row of the puff stitch you never gave a count and I am confused on how many puffs I should have and how many ch 1 there are. Please help
