So if you decide later to unsubscribe do you have to try and download everything from the cloud to a computer so you don't lose everything? Would that be a huge headache?
Warning: you won't get a refund after you pay for the subscription! And if you don't like the service, make sure you cancel it before the renewal date. They won't alert you about the renewal. You can't get a refund after the renewal is processed. Their customer service is bad!!!
According to the US website, there is a fee to trade in a damaged GoPros. My GoPro6 is messed up the but the trade in fee is $100 plus tax. It's hard to justify.
An update is that now GoPro allows you unlimited full resolution uploads but ONLY footage taken with a GoPro. Before, I did upload a few videos from other cameras with no issues. I guess it's fair enough since it is their site. But I'm mentioning it here because it has changed.
When you see "no questions asked replacement", you assume that means lost or stolen as well, but I found that the cover plan doesn't cover lost or stolen when mine was pinched out of my bag. The woman I spoke with gave me a 15% discount as a member of subscription, knowing full well I couldn't use that voucher alongside my subscriber discount on new cameras so it was a pointless gesture.
Sorry to hear that. But, here's the explanation of the word "replacement" from the Oxford Dictionary: the act of replacing one thing with another, especially something that is newer or better One thing, with another...
Hello GoPro. After upgrading to the new Premium+ subscription a few days before the renewal of my GoProPlus subscription, you have deleded my camera discount and it is stated that I have to wait for renewal after 1 year to get it. Why do you treat your existing uninterrupted customers as new subscribers without the discounts? Also the new subscriptions are not an upgrade but a downgrade from unlimited gopro and non-gopro storage to unlimited gopro storage and limited non-gopro storage (25gb for premium and 500gb for premium+ subscriptions). Also the new GoProPlayer with hypersmooth pro stabilization (the former ReelSteady) works only in very particular conditions and settings of the camera, which needs to already have hypersmooth, so from hero 6 black onwards. Also, the previous subscription had 3 camera discounts per year, now only one, for which you have to wait one more year after upgrading. Please fix these issues. thanks!
Here in the US it is a yearly fee. The day after I paid for a full subscription, I got an offer for half off. GoPro always gives me pause about their business.
@@Jimmy_Cavallo The offer came in when I used my cell phone to look at their site - so, no, I don't think they are that organized. It was more of a question of why was I getting the offer only on my cell phone? I have multiple other editing softwares like Adobe Premier, Windows Movie Maker, and Camtasia that can all do what I need. I don't want to lock into GoPro subscriptions and have to scramble later on to pull all my video down if I decide to stop using their subscription.
@@crossthreadaeroindustries8554 but don’t you import all of your footage from the card to your computer? Then edit there? I still don’t know myself why I would want to store all of my valuable content in the cloud.
@@Jimmy_Cavallo I agreen with you, I want at least one local copy of my videos. I just assume one day I will log on and my cloud account will be wiped out. I do process them locally and upload them to UA-cam.

What happens to the media files in the cloud when you finish the subscription??
they wipe it out right away without giving you a reasonable period to download it. and it cannot be undone.

Thank you for this video. Couldn't find information on the cost of a monthly subscription, only the 49.99/year, would you be so kind to tell us?
5 dollars a month if im not missremebering
What happens to all your cloud footage after you cancel you subscription???
they delete it right away!
@@octny Does that mean you have to pay every single year a certain sum to keep your footage?
@@Caleb.M_Fishing yes. As I said, the moment you cancel or not renew your subscription they will delete all your footage.

Can we buy more than one camera with a GoPro subscription? Actually I want to buy a GoPro 10 from my friend's subscription.
I’m pretty sure you can buy as many cameras as you want ha
The question was if you can buy cameras with subscriber discount, not how many at full price. @@actioncamguy
