You can tell he swings the club with a very light grip (3/10), the club is always in balance and must feel very light to him in the back swing. You can see how ell set and under the club he is at the top and then gravity and momentum pull him down and through, very nice tension free swing, Won the 2006 US Open so yeah pretty good stuff.
i followed him at a pga event recently. On the practice range his swing was just easier than everyone elses. Ernie els was the old big easy, he is the young big easy.
Do his long arms dictate a more upright swing? I'm not seeing much shoulder turn. But man does he create some amazing clubhead speed with that move. His arms are so long it seems like he has to come up on his toes (just before impact) to create enough room and not hit it fat. Great rhythm. And that finish is money.
golfmaniac007 He is pulling the club with both arms and hands down plane (towards the ball) . The rolling over of the hands and club face happens automatically if the grip is light enough to let it happen. Most people tighten up on the downswing which puts a death grip on the club which prevents the natural release of the club shaft and club face ie: it prevents the wrists from uncocking and rolling over which are 2 very powerful actions required to powerfully compress the ball. The Golfing Machine calls them the #2 and #3 power accumulators (there are 4 accumulators in total) . Such effortless swings. Beautiful to watch. Thanks for the video!
Classic high right hip through impact. Brilliant tension free swing.
Great to see such a perfect swing in detail.

Such a pure swing

His body turn is very compact. But his long arms make it look a long swing.
iv never in my life seen anyone make golf look so easy. Hes so smooth every time.
I would die to see him play a practice round all day as with Ernie Els because both has such effortless repeatable swings. Lucky you!

I wish I could duplicate his swing :S
even in slow motion i can't understand this swing. seems like he gets whip action from forearm and wrist lever.
