Thanks for the video. We have the same problem with a fleet of Canyons and Colorados. This fleet does excellent maintenance on their vehicles so I’m thinking the solenoids are just junk from GM. Gonna have to look at where they are made. Stay tuned.
Thank you so much for the informative video, I have 2012 ford expedition 5.4L, mileage is 200KM. It has the P0024 code with "check engine on" for over 2 years now, I have changed the The Oil Control Valve (OCV) to the bank 2, but it did not fix the P0024 code. do you think using the "Cam Phaser Lockout" can fix the problem. note1: there is no knocking noise sound, the sound of the engine is good. note 2: mileage per hour is always around 12mpg. note 3: I am using 5W30 full synthetic engine oil. Thank you.
Here's the gig (ignition on / engine off) (Gm 3.6 over Advanced exhaust) When you plug in all four actuators Three of the actuators engage and when you start the engine it runs absolutely terrible. The fourth solenoid has power but does not activate the solenoid but the solenoid is good cuz I checked it manually. But with the fourth one plugged in and the other three solenoids unplugged the engine runs perfect cuz three of them are not engaged. plug any other actuator in and the engine runs pathetic
Same codes on my 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.3l v6. I’ve identified an oil control solenoid but not sure which one B solenoid is. And my code isn’t say intake or exhaust 😅
Are these also called camshaft oil coolant control valve?? Having p0024 issues with my 2007 infiniti g35x sedan.. also something is shorting my battery. Replaced battery after hurricane ida and bow my battery is dead again.
You probably dont give a shit but does any of you know a way to log back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly forgot my account password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me!
@Sage Darwin thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
I have this code on my 2018 Acadia. I just noticed it running rough, I recently just had an oil change too. I keep the vehicle very well maintained.
Yeah my code came up right after an oil change. I’ve kept up with my oil changes as a mechanic. Solenoids are just trash!!
Acadia is trash. I use to change timing chains, cam phasers all the time. Chain stretch and the phasers crap out

Awesome video bro! Very informative, hey so what kind of scanner is this that you are using? Seems like it's pretty versatile and precise!
Great video but did the check when off?? Or erase :) thank you.
I need to know where the one for bank 1 located ?
Grease monkey the scan tool link was not in the video. I’d like to check it out. Thank you for your time and a great video.
Fr same here !!

@Sage Darwin It worked and I finally got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D
Thanks so much, you saved my account!
@Benton Maverick No problem :)
You’ll be putting a timing chain in it and don’t even waste your time putting actuators in it
cod p0014
Wrong chains are stretched show the first screen.
