Dont get me wrong I love all of them but I am a huge fan of full size guns, and higher mag capacity. I feel that the Glock 17 if very accurate and I may be partial because it was my first handgun. The 19 is certainly a better option for CCW and I love it. The 34 is great but more or less for competition.

That's what I run a 74 and a 17....I ditched My AR for a Bulgarian AK 74 and a late model G17 Gen 4... Ive had no problems out of either one they run great. The ammo is crazy cheap for the 74 compared to the AR which means I actually get to shoot my 74 as much as I want ; )

I have to ask this super serious question because it plagues me with people who own/train the ak-74 ... the 5.45x39mm is a round not really produced within our wonderful country.. in fact most ammo is surplus or wolf.. I think i read somewhere Hornady makes a 60gr vmax round although i've never seen it.. While I agree the AK is a wonderful platform, what're u going to do with all your training when the surplus of ammo dries up for good because surplus well is Surplus.. it eventually runs out O.o

Glock 17 Gen 4 has been adapted as the standard side-arm of the british armed forces this year, winning of the S&W M&P, HK P30, Sig P226, Beretta PX4,...
actually not too bad for a 30year old piece....

Also, I am very curious as to your thoughts down the road on CCW with a toddler around as the mom. That's something I would love for my wife to always carry as she gets for training and more comfortable with her gun, but she is weary of carrying with having a 3 year old around. I know it's early for you, but that may come up sometime. Thanks! I really respect your opinions.

Not sure if I can decide between my AR15s and AR10s.....or even my XD or XDm. I'd still chose them over an AK74 and Glock anyday. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Why the heck doesn't Obama say we don't need criminals on the streets whether they be yielding butterknives, baseball bats, guns or anything. The hands of prisoners belong in prisons along with the rest of their bodies. But NO, they have to cite the use of a weapon in the criminal's hands.
