This is the newest one. I didn’t except a manual ring to work only planet side and he didn’t expect that this ring was sent back in time and was most likely unlocked.
Hal can build a ring out of pure will no manhunter needed. He even brought him self back from the death. So depowering Hal who is basically a self made god kind of a joke.
Weirdly one of the most impressive aspects of Jermey Adams’s writing to me is his creative ways of referencing trademarked properties without actually having to say them (and thus pay royalties) and without making up some lazy substitute like most writers. Like earlier there was the moment where there was the supernatural stuff happening and a cop said “maybe we should call the Ghostb-“ before an explosion cuts him off, and of course here there was “dew of the mountain”. Most writers would just put something like “Five Seasons Hotel” when talking about the Four Seasons.

For issue 2, I like that Hal Jordan is getting serious with us job on Earth. Also, I find it hilarious that he was flying with his Green Lantern powers before falling onto the ground. Also, him having a chat with Kilawog, which is nice. For issue 3, it’s hilarious that Hal was falling from the sky before his ring made sure that it will save his fall. Also, Hal and Sinestro meeting in a bar hoping to talk about something.
He seems to have left the corps in this storyline, and is now just using the ring he once created from pure will alone in a much earlier story. But a ring without any connection to the Green Lantern battery on Oa, is now very limited for long term use. He could probably get a better handle on the ring if he went to Alan Scott, since rings not connected to Oa are more his area of expertise, but Hal has always been hard headed. Both Barry and Hal are in super awkward stages of their lives...they aren't super old like the JSA members, but they already left a large list of successors that surpassed them in many ways, but since DC editors are in love with Hal and Barry, Hal and Barry are actually too close in age or even younger then their successors due to resurrections shenanigans. Apparently Sinestro is without a ring as well, since he is using basic weapons, although we don't know for sure. Either way this storyline seems to want to see both Sinestro and Hal survive and fight on a far more limited level then either are used to. Plus it gives Hal a chance to reconnect with Coast City, which he normally can't do 99% of the time since he's either on a Justice League mission or on a Green Lantern mission far away from the city.
@@9751mattyep, this was just manual version. The smart tech if forgone for him. It didn’t matter for him as he was considered off duty/retirement. He found this model useful only within the planet. The automation and smarts done by the guardians couldn’t help here as it was built with his own will.
Green Lanterns (or at least a some of them) oughta get power gems to substitute for their rings or even to use in together with them Gems like the Star Sapphires have. They'd be more practical as they allow energy and construct generation from anywhere from the user's body instead of just from their ring finger.
I wish Green Lantern did a truly absurd number of Purposely Stupid Crossovers and near-constantly gave various color rings to the non-GL Canon characters. Just for the sheer fun of the thing.
OK, what the hell is happen with Green Lantern because the last thing I saw with them. Was the core trying to train Teen Lantern? And why is sinenstro stuck on Earth?
Again, come on he just made a new ring a few years ago that was felted throughout the Universe. So they do it again as a way to keep him on Earth while nerfing him and slightly refreshing his powers. These writers need to be more original than this.
I hate how women will complain about someone doing too much of something in comics. Like bruh is saving lives and galaxies, how important are you to say he should stop that to be with you.
You know what? Good nerf him. If a character is to strong and you know damn well you can't write him properly like that, bite the bullet and make a quality story over a loud one. Let's see where this goes.

For issue 2, I like that Hal Jordan is getting serious with us job on Earth. Also, I find it hilarious that he was flying with his Green Lantern powers before falling onto the ground. Also, him having a chat with Kilawog, which is nice.
For issue 3, it’s hilarious that Hal was falling from the sky before his ring made sure that it will save his fall. Also, Hal and Sinestro meeting in a bar hoping to talk about something.
Vol 4 is when?

how the hell is a galactic peacekeeper supposed to patrol if he can't even leave his planet ????
He seems to have left the corps in this storyline, and is now just using the ring he once created from pure will alone in a much earlier story.
But a ring without any connection to the Green Lantern battery on Oa, is now very limited for long term use. He could probably get a better handle on the ring if he went to Alan Scott, since rings not connected to Oa are more his area of expertise, but Hal has always been hard headed.
Both Barry and Hal are in super awkward stages of their lives...they aren't super old like the JSA members, but they already left a large list of successors that surpassed them in many ways, but since DC editors are in love with Hal and Barry, Hal and Barry are actually too close in age or even younger then their successors due to resurrections shenanigans.
Apparently Sinestro is without a ring as well, since he is using basic weapons, although we don't know for sure.
Either way this storyline seems to want to see both Sinestro and Hal survive and fight on a far more limited level then either are used to. Plus it gives Hal a chance to reconnect with Coast City, which he normally can't do 99% of the time since he's either on a Justice League mission or on a Green Lantern mission far away from the city.
@@9751mattyep, this was just manual version. The smart tech if forgone for him. It didn’t matter for him as he was considered off duty/retirement. He found this model useful only within the planet. The automation and smarts done by the guardians couldn’t help here as it was built with his own will.

Gems like the Star Sapphires have.
They'd be more practical as they allow energy and construct generation from anywhere from the user's body instead of just from their ring finger.

Again, come on he just made a new ring a few years ago that was felted throughout the Universe. So they do it again as a way to keep him on Earth while nerfing him and slightly refreshing his powers. These writers need to be more original than this.
