I just found a Stanley #95 for $8 bucks. It’s very similar to #5 but also has brass edging on the 4 long corners. I wasn’t sure if I should recalibrate and refurbish it or not, but after seeing this, I think I will. It’s a quality tool. Why not keep it nice.
@@AussieWoodshed Especially for antiques, yes. Linseed unfortunately isn't very water resistant and does not contribute to the durability of the piece.. but it looks/feels so much better
