Abandoned (or ghost) ships that are still floating? Old WW2 Japanese bunkers etc? Or even old WW2 sunken battleships to explore with air pockets inside? The lamps won't work deeper down as they are solar powered and no sunlight will reach them! Talking about deep oceans how awesome would it be to find a deep sea diving suit? Like one of the old brass/copper ones you see in movies? Also, a lot of drug operations have been caught transporting drugs with submarines, how awesome would it be to stumble across an abandoned island with weed fields over it with processing shacks and a submarine/speedboat...reminds me of Farcry! Haha
Thinking more about it Id love to be able to find a beached yacht with all holes in the hull, no mast etc and having to spend a lot of hours ingame finding items and resources to rebuild it, imagine living off It using the gas stoves inside the cabin and the bed in the living quarters that would just be...insane...
The problem with those deep sea suits was that they required more than one person. The way they work I think was that a tube was run to the surface to allow air down and to balance air pressure/water pressure. Not entirely sure though
I guess you could find buoys in the sea and use rope to tie the top of the pipe to it to allow ait to go down, only problem that would come from that then (in real life) is waves coming over top the opening and running down inside, but that could add another gameplay feature to where you could only use it on calm seas?

I wonder if the lag is not the number of items around you but the number of items you can see at a time. Try storing your stuff in one of the side rooms (like where the engine parts are stored) instead. That might lower the lag.
James McQuade Moonlight is but a reflection of sunlight. As the moon is always full, and every structure has some hole in it, the lantern continues to work.
for a solar lamp to be charged by moon light it would have to be given light a fair bit brighter than it can actually produce. I laymans terms it needs more light than it produces.

Everyone moves on in life when it comes time. You just do what you feel is right. I personally love your videos and would hate to see you leave. I think with age comes experience. My dad went through the same problem with his age and how he interpreted it. Just stay positive. Traveling is a beautiful thing and I would definitely recommend it. In the end remember to stay true to yourself and just do you.
I would really love to hear more about your travels. Where you've been, where you'd like to go, etc. Your idea of renting a place somewhere OS is the ideal way to really experience another place... to really get an idea of what it's like to LIVE there, rather than just quickly visit. When I go OS it's always for a minimum of a month or more, but I always imagine the best balance would be 6 months work to 6 months travel. Hey, perhaps your next occupation could be a Travel Vlogger.

I'm actually surprised about how accurate this game is about the rising and setting of the sun, but it appears Stranded Deep is mimicking seasons, or at least months of the year. From March to September, the sun rises near the northeast, and from September to March, it rises near the southeast. It would be awesome to see if they honor the change! Looking forward to the 180th day of survival to see that :)
The sun DO rise in the east and sets in the west. I've noticed that a couple of ep's ago, that the sun cycle in the game doesn't correspond with reality. Cheers!

This is a super late comment (I'm a bit behind on my youtube watching) but the sun rises in the northeast because the game takes place in the south pacific and/or it's winter (if the developer actually implemented seasons). If I'm correct, the sun will almost over head at noon (but more towards north than straight up) and it will set in the northwest. As Kurtjmac would say, "Science!!"

This can only happen if you live pretty close to the equator.
