When I first watched it it I felt that it wasn't about the money. Lex never had a loving family like the Kents and this was his opportunity to be a part of one. It also created an interesting dynamic as it was like having a fox in the henhouse with Lex snooping around while trying to uncover the mystery of Clark Kent.
I love Al interacting with Tom and Michael during Talk Ville, and I love when he mentions other episodes many of which are among my favorites as well. Thank you so much guys, you are amazing and I love you.❤❤❤❤
This will forever be one of the best moments in Talkville history. And don't worry michael, you're still awesome and I hope you keep going with your honest critiques! ✌😊
@@king4Litre thanks it was yesterday i got smallville season 10 and my blue shirt and red leather jacket as smallville show fan it could be my leather jacket as the bike rider
When you count how many times Lex visited the Kent farm when it’s not on the way to anywhere he was going, knowing Jonathan kinda hated him, just to have a 2 minute conversation with Clark he could’ve easily had in town or over the phone…yeah, it’s obvious Lex wanted to find a way into Jonathan’s good graces and be welcomed into the Kent family. He was a collector of rare items, he could’ve bought himself a whole new house with the money from even one of those, but he wanted to be loved like Jonathan and Martha loved Clark and he seized the opportunity when it presented itself, coz that’s who he was
These discussions on the Phone between Michael and Al are great !! I agree with Al , Lex goes directly to the Kents within à real family that he doesn’t have ❤ !! And Clark is his best friend !
Lol he's upset over this, but not the fact that Lex could easily have 24/7 surveillance watching the Kent farm (cameras, people, satellite feed) and would notice a dude lifting trucks and hammering in posts without tools.. plus the explosions and Clark vanishing on camera due to super speed.
Al really knew how to make you feel foolish, didn't he, Michael? Wow. Many KUDOS to Al Gough. LMAO!!! It made Lex look more like a part of the series instead of just a Millionaire/Billionaire. Made everything concentrating on the series. (IMO)
QUESTION I wonder how Tom would have felt about playing a teenage Zod growing up on Krypton instead of Clark Kent in Kansas. Whenever Clark went down the "ruby red highway," I always saw that he would have made a perfect Zod. Then, not now of course.
Love the show but sorry Michael disagreed with you on this one! In your 20s your bestie is who you go to when you need someone. I also think they wanted to show Lex's softer side. He said he liked to do work at his family's Montana ranch. Thank you Al for always answering the phone! ❤
I think Lex wanted to prove something to Jonathan Kent and get some of the approval he sees Clark get, and it worked. Inaccessible from his father, but with a fraction of the effort, validation from his best friend's dad just for proving he was more than a wallet.
I disagree on this one. I think what Lex was trying to do was surround himself around good people when he was losing his family. The few good people he knows are The Kents. Clark never cared about Lex's power or money so he knew at the end of the day Clark wouldn't judge him. Plus knowing how Lionel raised him, he can't show vulnerability around others easily but he does make an effort around Clark whom he trusts. Also do we know if his are is even in his name or is it Lionel's property along with everything else. Lionel tends to drill it home that everything including Lex's name is his not Lex's. EDIT: Also since my adopted parents are kinda similar to Lionel, I'm sure Lionel had ways to access Lex's money. If Lex is finally bucking his dad's rule, Lionel had years to prepare for this so if he helped him get his first bank account he might be co-signed etc. Lionel feels entitled to Lex's stuff.
I think lex knew that Kent's would take him in, even tho he's a Luthor, they'd shelter him til he got back on his feet. Had he gone to anyone else once they knew he was cut off from his wealth they unfriended him.
Also you forget Michael that there was a big teen market for the show. I think they played with Tom playing sexy in the red kryptonite episodes. Like the start of season 3. And in this one him and Chloe making out. Different watching it since we are older...

Love it when Michael gets passionate about the story line 😄

Perfect Owen Wilson impression there, Michael. 😂
Michael's one weakness is kryptonite powered plot points by Al

😂😂 no matter what hands down best show ever!!!
If only someone would've passed by and recognized Lex shoveling hay and felt inclined to ask "Lex, what the fuck are you doing?"
Yes😂 missed opportunity
🤣🤣🤣. We need an asinine count. Love ya Rosey! ❤
One of my favorite podcasts this one 😂

This was also when Lex was curious about Clark too though right?

#MichaelRosenbaum cracks me up with his feedback and theories on the #Smallville episodes.😂😂😂
