I just got my silver Monologue today and saw your video. I have the volca mix, with the volca bass and kick connected to it already. How do I get the Monologue in there now? Thanks.
Hello! Since you have monologue and all your modular I would like to ask you : what if I'm happy with the over all Monologue but missing a bit of the ADSR goods . Can I connect Monologue to an external ADSR module to obtain more comprehensive sound ? And how ???
Once the Volca is playing, it is outputting audio like normal and that audio is feeding the audio input of the Monologue. The reason you still would not hear anything, is that the filter is not "on" or activated until a key (or a sequence) is triggered on the Monologue. The filter on the Monologue (or any synth really) is closed unless it's triggered so no sound will be heard by the Volca thru the Monologue.
you need just the sync cable, which is a simple 3.5mm trs male to male, like explained in the video. to listen to both you will need headphones OR external amplification, a mixer and PA or audio interface and monitors. If you don't want to record or play for others, just go with good headphones. this also keeps all neighbors happy.
couchcamper I have a tried to get my minilogue to sync with the Volca keys but when I do that the Volca sound will only come thru the minilogue when I hold a minilogue key
@@macdemarco1476 Whey you are holding a key on the minilogue you are opening/triggering the filter. The filter is closed completely unless triggered somehow, so no audio input will be heard until some event triggers the filter to open. i.e. a key gate or sequence triggered filter envelope.
Hey Francis, I'm not Dan obviously but you are correct in that you use Midi Out on the Monologue to the Midi In on the TR-08. Also, fyi if you use the TR-08 audio going into the monologue audio in, your 08 signal will go through the filters on the monologue
When I sync my Monotribe to my Monologue I use a double ended 3.5 jack lead(small headphone size)to go from the Sync out on the Monologue to the Sync in on the Monotribe. Then I use a double ended 1/4 inch jack lead(guitar size) to go from the output on the Monotribe to the Input on the Monologue. I hope this helps.
Korg should hire you-amazing simple and right to the point! Glad I am a subscriber!
Your channel is dope! Question: Can I use Monologue to play another synth via MIDI out port while the Monologue is still playing its own sequence?
So I have a monologue as well, let’s say I get a behringer synth, can I use the monologue keyboard/step sequencer to control the behringer ?
How about playng monologue keyboard as a controller and getting polyphonic sound from volca keys?

What's the reason behind the headphone out from Volca to monologue audio in? Wouldn't the sync step just be fine? Thanks!!

How to connect Korg Monologue to the newer Korg Minilogue XD module ?
extremely useful!
Need help! Do I need an audio interface to sync a minilogue with a volca or pocket operator? I dont want to record. Just play. Thanks!
That’s a good question, I second that. But I would also recommend asking reddit man. Stop crying and start looking, it’s all out there. Good luck

@@macdemarco1476 sounds like you are using the audio in and not the sync ports?

Hey Dan, nice videos on the Monologue. Would sync with midi on a Roland Tr08? Cheers!

@@presleyandbandit9582 thanks! Got both now and it literally was plug and play!
Can i sequence a nord electro 5 with no sync in by just sending the audio signal into the monologue?
Sure, you can send any audio signal, even from your mp3 player or tv
Tremendous, thanks!
Disclaimer: I"m a novice...can someone suggest a cheapish mixer I can buy to sync these two ?
Thanks for the great video man! :)
its perfect, and now would you please to show me how to sync microkorg xl to volca? hehe thank you
via midi?
MrChillacher no like how he did it in this video
@@valentinarmenta4982 the microkorg should have sync input and output, too. and since it's also korg, it's plug and play.
Would you be able to tell me which leads to buy to do this?
