Thank you for this instruction. I have found a used Bower branded 24mm f3.5 tilt shift for $450.00 US. I think this would be a great addition to my kit.
I've been waiting for your video on this amazing lens mate 😁 I could easily follow how you explained how to use a tilt shift lens and how it all works 👍 I might one day rent one and give it a try though it will have to be the Samyang because I shoot with Fujifilm. As always thank you for the time and effort you put into your very informative videos 👍 Much appreciated Glenn🙏🏻
Really interesting, Glenn. I have heard a lot about Tiltshift lenses but never really understood how they worked Thanks for sharing your knowledge and skills mate. 👌
What an excellent hands on explanation! I have considered a tilt shift for perspective and better sharpness for my work with arch photography, but I'm not sure how much better it would be compared to what I do with my 14-24mm, if better at all??? On that note, I think you should by a NIKKOR 19mm f/4E ED and do a give away. You could give it to your number one fan. Just a thought. By the way, I am your number one fan 😃 Thanks for sharing, buddy! Take care!
Your a funny man Michael The tilt shift is excellent to use for landscape photography. I will be in Utah in October this year and will be using it there for the arches that are in that area. I use the Canon 16 35 F4,however it just can't match the technical sharpness of the tilt shift. Take care my American friend. Cheers
Thanks, very informative & has taken away some of the mystery surrounding the Tilt Shift, it makes sense with your explanation. Won't be buying one in the near future am looking at better quality lenses to purchase with a wider range of use. Enjoy your videos.
Hi Richard The glass is the most important part of the photography process. The tilt shift lens is a very specific lens that delivers outstanding technical sharpness. Thanks for watching.
Glenn, after much soul searching and research and taking note of some of your videos I took the step & purchased a Canon 24 105 F4 the other day took delivery today 2nd hand but in good nick reasonable price , taken a few snaps crystal clear, very happy.@@SniperPhotography
@@richardhurst3368 that’s good to hear Richard The 24 105 is a very good lens.great workhorse of a lens. I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed with it. Cheers
Great in depth breakdown on how to use these brilliant lenses Glenn. They would probably weigh more that my little mirrorless cameras. That said, who cares! That Samyang lens is now on my list. Thank you as always for your insights. Cheers, Sean.
Hey Sean Yes,the tilt shift lenses are a technical marvel when it comes to outstanding technical sharpness. As stated,i don’t use it regularly, however when I do use it the results are outstanding. Thanks for watching. Cheers
I've read reviews of the Samyang and a lot of people are of the opinion it is only good at f8 or f11, what is your findings with it as i am looking at getting a samyang myself. Good video explaining the benefits of the tilt shift.
@ianelliott9467 sounds good.I use 2 other Samyang lenses and they are outstanding. 14mm 2.8 Ultra Wide and a 20mm 2.8 wide and are a good piece of glass.
Surprisingly unclear! I have 3 T-S lenses and was waiting for the “change the tilt button” or “change the shift button”. My guess is that your focussing technique will not work for 45mm and longer, but I’ll try it out since no one else has suggested this method...
