British Farming | 12 Months On A UK Farm: September
Вставка
- Опубліковано 30 вер 2018
- It's September, and we're back on the farm.
The seasonal change from tee shirts to coats, felt almost as abrupt as the transition from city to country this month.
We caught up with Eric (from February) our teaser ram, and got on with some muck spreading to tickle our senses.
We also reflected on the last few months.
It's the longest episode we've made, so we’d love to hear from you in the comments section! For Email updates, subscribe: talktoflank.com/british-farming/
Produced By: Rufus Denne, Josh Aarons.
Filmed By: Josh Aarons, Rufus Denne, James Norden.
Oh Rufus, your Mum is such a treasure. And your Grandfather sounded like a wonder. How fortunate you are!
She talks about her grandfather's hard work as if *_she_* doesn't work that hard. Let's face it, the vast majority of Western women wouldn't last a day working as hard as she does. Her fortitude is admirable.
An old man from the USA here. Love your show, the farm, and your hard work. My wife was a farm girl and when we were young and courting we would bail hay all day then ride the horses down to the local for a cool beer. What a great time. Good on you.
I’m glad I came across your videos on UA-cam, thanks for all that you do. :)
Thank you Darren! Excited to be releasing more soon.
Absolutely love this series!
I’ve known the family over 25 years and never had a clue what was involved in the farming process. So much appreciative now of the hard work put in, along with Sarah’s great sense of humour.
Selby will be missed too as he told great stories to tell.
A great big lovely farming family!
Keep it going guys!!
"I shall keep this place going for as long as I can" what a powerful mother
I FEEL IT 😢😢 REAL MOTHER. LOVE FROM #SOMALIA
Your series is splendid. Your Mum is splendid. Your grandfather must have been splendid. Thank you for your videography. Farmers are under appreciated.
I definitely agree
Family is so important. Ru has a great heritage of solid work ethic. So many young people have never seen that and they feel entitled to wealth without a lifetime of work first. Hard work is what I hope to leave as my heritage and my children’s and grandchildren’s inheritance. A lif spent working at what you love is a life well spent.
These British Farming videos are absolutely brilliant!
So sorry for the loss of your Dad. How wonderful that you had a chance to share time at the farm together.
I adore this series, thank you so much, please make more in 2019. The world needs more Sarah - she is a real inspiration and I love her approach and passion for farming. Wish I knew her as she seems like a great person!
Sorry to hear about your granddad. I lost my grandmother that September, your mother reminds me of her. Absolute powerhouse of a woman and I miss her very much.
Well done, nearly at the end of this series and it’s been a real pleasure to watch.
so sorry for the loss of ur father, he must have been so proud of you, keep up ur hard work, but remember to find time to put ur feet up xx
Sarah, this is just amazing. When we spoke at the open evening, your passion for the farm was just amazing, little did I think I would be watching a 12 month diary on the farm. I am so sorry for your loss this year. Sending my regards to you all.
I like your video. I am experiencing farming for the first time and I love it. I show similar experiences on my channel. I am amazed by our single female farmer, she has such strength and endurance much like your farmer. Thank you.
What an absolute gem of a persons, your father and great great grand father were. In addition, your filming style and the way you speak is an absolute beauty. A career in photography and filming is waiting ahead....Go grab it 👍
I am absolutely loving these videos. Real depth to them. So well produced. Sarah is a real star and Rufus has serious talent.
Stop everything. There's a new Flank upload. Great series!

Sorry to hear about your grandfather. Hope you and your family are doing alright. Your videos are excellent and im looking forward to the rest.
The talk of the pride and passion you have in keeping the farm going is very inspirational. A noble pursuit definitely.
Amazing episode. Nearly cried!!!
Amazing work and video as usual! Love the series, and can never wait for the next video!! One thing i would say, the main issue with leaving the much outside to rot is that the rain washes out a fair but if the nutrients so the ground where the heap was is amazing, everywhere else isn't as great. Again though, absolutely amazing video and series!!
Excellent, keep up the good work.
Another splendid video. Obviously some sadness with family and animal loss but treated with love.
Keep farming!

Where about is this farm?
Buckinghamshire I think
It's very important for farmers to start mulching fields. Making sure you have the organic matter to both hold enough water and also loose enough to shed water you don't need. Climate change is coming. (Like winter coming) and it's time for farming to get VERY permaculture resiliency base. Finding a solid production permaculture consultant and doing your research could mean the world for medium and small farmers across the world. Tell your mom to be on the lookout for young farmers running chickens in a pasture. It's basically a harrow and nutrition treatment mid-season. Also, she should look into no dig cover cropping. Out in the pastures, she can plant seeds. They grow and she can rotationally harvest it. Lots and LOTS of options.
Woow i wish am your worker please
