- Roger Waters opening night of “This is Not a Drill” July 6,2022 PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh PA - “Sheep” from the 3rd row lower bowl
That closing guitar riff still gives me goose bumps 45 years after the first time I heard it.
Totally with you ! Saw the Floyd do this Live Animals tour Stafford March 1977....
Gilmour ...brilliance...
I can play it, I am a guitarist, but could I have come up with it....naah !
one of the best keyboard intros ever created
Saw Roger play Dogs and Pigs at Birmingham England July 2018, Animals was an album I never really used to listen to growing up as a Floyd fanatic but as I get older I listened to it properly and it is by far my favourite Floyd album, Animals is absolutely amazing it's a shame it doesn't get the publicity like the big 3 DSOTM, WYWH AND THE WALL but once you get into it, it becomes apparent how incredible it is, I'm so glad he's playing Sheep on this tour just a shame he's not coming back over to England with the Tour but you never know he might put some extra gigs on over here, hopefully in Liverpool were Pink Floyd are a right of passage for everyone growing up
I heard about this a lot.
When Animals was released it was an "okay album".
Decades later on these guys appreciate it so much.
Maybe you need to be a bit older with a bit more wisdom than in your youth to love Animals.
I do now.
wtf dogs is one of the most important tracks ever created
Definitely my favourite album.
Same. The Wall got me hooked to Pink Floyd, but I love Animals/ he best
When you get older and wiser Animals resonates a lot more.
Roger Waters!!! At age 78 years old you still are a rocker from the 1970s! A legend then and still a legend with visuals today! Pink Floyd 1973-1979 ruled Britannia of the 1970s ✊
@Dan Car ... Not really. Pink Floyd even agreed they became the band that would be classical in rock as The Beetles, Bob Dylan, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, Jimmy Hendrix, and many more where Pink Floyd was considered some acid hippy looking group throwing out music nobody cared for. Then in 1973 Pink Floyd broke into rock with "Dark Side of The Moon album" to gain premiere world wide attention that they were a different great sounding group to by albums as record sales showed in the 1970s. With 1975 "Wish You Were Here" and that title song crashing rock music billboards Pink Floyd was free to develop. Animals of 1977 and The Wall 1979 cemented Pink Floyd as that classic whole album classic rock group they are known for; and, 1973-1979 Pink Floyd are the 70s. Even maybe just like only one track song in any previous albums really aren't that interesting vs the listed other artists doing their classics in the 1960s.
Animals is by far their best album!talk about being prog rock!one of the best ever
Come on, people. He has a right to speak his mind in any format he likes, just like the rest of us. He's not going to sound like he did in 1977 because he's 78 years old now. And, most conscientious musicians try their best to take care of their voices before and during a tour. In todays world, emotional snap judgements don't cut it anymore. Cut it out with the conspiracy theories, arm chair philosophy and wanna be music critic posture.
Some of you are embarrassing our species.
Actually since I didn't go to this concert and I was like 16 years old when my sister bought Animals for us to listen in the living room to, record album on a great stereo system, the visuals are remarkable in this concert. Roger Waters at 78 years of age is still a rocker we loved back in the 1970s! ✊
They are certainly embarrassing.
Мудрый и честный человек и генниальный музыкант..браво мистер Уотерс!
Just saw him in Denver...Omg amazing.. "If you don't like his politics FO and the bar is on the left"
I got my 2 seats for September 13 in Edmonton.
Me too!!
Rick's Fender Rhodes sound is epic! RIP
Fantastic!!! A true artist!
My favorite Floyd album for sure
Magistral.
So brillant, so intelligent, so many years later and the same pleasure thank you Crazy Diamond
Wish you were here is better overall , pigs ruins it never liked it but DOGS may be their most ambitious song ever especially when I heard it in 77

I'm so tempted to fly to the US for this.

I'm keeping a lookout. I'd like to go to the MSG show in NY.

Awww Roger!!!!
Nice. Will be seeing him “in the round” on Tuesday.
So, does the stage rotate? Or are the "behind seats" a restricted veiw?
@@teddbertrand2627 nothing rotates, "in the round" in this case means that you see the band from every side of the arena

Haiii... I n my 4 friends plan to go to Roger Water Concert on Bologna 21 April next year.. my question is what is the best location to see ? Among us, we have different opinion : some say standing around stage ( close to the RW, band Player) , some say sit behind (because more able to see giant sceeen better).. thank you...
The man sings about sheep. What about the many people paying their hard-earned wages for a bloated ticket price to see someone they admire greatly? They are seated to see the live performance maybe 1/4, 1/3 of the time? They choose to do this tour with a 360 degree audience. Every ticket holder gets a fraction of what they signed on for. In my case, less. I pity who bought the seats I was in. (they were expensive!). To me, it seems greedy. This is the guy who rails against ruthless capitalism. This to me seems just like that. I went to the concert and felt very jipped. Buyers be warned!!!!!!!!By the way, the music was really great. I guess you can get that at home with a good stereo. You hardly ever see the artists.
Grant then why didn't you go the bar like Roger says at the beginning of the concert, you would have had a comfy seat and wallowed in pity getting pissed at the price of your ticket and bored the barman like your boring everyone else whose reading your "It's Not Fair Speech"..!! Your a lucky fucker cos I'd pay thousands to see him once more by flying to the States from Liverpool England 🤮😢Boo Fuckin Boo..!!

Awesome 😎 thanks for the bitchin’ vid🤘🤘🤘
Roger's manifesto still attracks lots of sheeps who gladly pay huge amount of hard earned cash to be politically endoctrinated through compelling music and incredible visual effects. I can only admire Roger's irony!

Did the floating sheep come out?
guess I need reading glasses for this show....LOL ...........NOT!
Yes you do..There will be a test at the end ;-)
Overwhelming...!
Will be seeing him Friday in montreal
It’s just pre-recorded vocals. Can’t you enjoy the rest of the fucking extravaganza? He never tried to sing like fucking Michael Jackson or something, because he’s basically a composer trying to express himself through music and lyrics. You gotta understand this shit.
This 360 degree stage does not work. It is no fun going to a concert and looking at the back of their heads except an occasional presence......Seems to me money grubbing to try to sell all seatss. When I go to a concert I want a comprehensive experience of the WHOLE band, not having the singer come around once in a while and the drummer actually facing me for part of the concert. WHAT A JOKE! Moreover, what a jip! The music WAS GREAT, but as far as a concert experience, forget about it. You have video at home. Just not as big. Wow.......
I prefer Pigs but this is a great version of Sheep.

i bought vip tickets and arrived only to find out i was behind the action. great. second row seats. he played to the other side and the stupid people around me clapped furiously when we were gracioulsy blessed with his presence. what a joke! and what a waste of money. the music was great but i felt like i spent a ton of money on a video. it was obscene. he talks a good game of the little man, but i cant help but seeing this stage setup as nothing more than a money grab. what a hypocrite! in fact, i bought not one but two tshirts prior to the concert starting because i was so jazzed. im' almost embarrassed to werar them. the fact that he sold out 360 degrees of viewership and actually made the comment during my concert that" it wasnt sold out, but we didnt sell out" was a laughable thing! put your fans in front of your show! we saw NOTHING mostly but videos! MoneyGrubber!!!!!!!!!! Im turned off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
there are definitely dogs about ........

Nice presentation and a tight band behind him, Mr. Waters has a platform and he uses it, both monetarily and politically and I don't see anything wrong with that. Since when did everyone agree about ideals? For f's sake people take a deep breath, maybe smoke a joint and realize it's not a pimple on the world's ass.
What row was that?!
4th row lower level
1st row lower level Philly but trying to sell tickets on stub hub. Already saw him before. Liked that show better.
Hvor publikum dog skreg. Sætter man sig ikke ned og nyder musikken dernede?

Roger is pretty selective in his outrage. He'll go to bat for an authoritarian regime, if doing so supports his narrative.
If Roger would just play music I’d try to go see the show, but just like in this video he Would be spewing his political view, I just want to hear great music and I won’t spend money to see somebody stand on a soapbox

I'm not convinced he is singing live. Particularly songs in his upper register like this one.
Don't see him playing much bass either.
Anything high he isn't. People seem to irrationally jump to his defence when that's pointed out but there's plenty of clear evidence out there that he isn't singing live.
RW has become a shameless impostor! How did it come to this? Lip syncing, robery. What a disgusting and pretencious liar. An btw, I used to be a big fan. But how can you love a thief, a liar?
He clearly is, as this is nothing like the vocal performance on the record, and you can hear him straining to hit the notes.
@@DaleKirkley nobody said it's from the record. Probably from previous live recordings, rehearsals or soundchecks.
I always have found it hilarious that Roger Waters totally misses the point of Animal Farm.
Not really. In animal farm the revolution was justified and morally right, but it was subverted by bad actors. It's a critique of the formation of the Soviet Union and oligarchs. Roger's version is about oligarchs in capitalist societies.,
It's about the powerful exploiting the weak. Happens in any economic system. Pigs and humans are indistinguishable
It seems you totally missed the point of both.
RW is not doing music anymore. Why not go into politics? No, politics sucks, he says. Complaining, complaining. What a load of crap. I wanna vomit in my mouth.
