  • Rob Halford is 72... 72! There is a reason Judas Priest are called the Metal Gods. Here they prove it with their new track - Panic Attack! Another note as well - Ian Hill is 72 and Glenn Tipton is 76!!! Just saying... YOU ARE NEVER TOO OLD TO ROCK AND ROLL!
    -The Pentagenarian
Are you, or do you know someone that is, between the ages of 49 and 59? Having a hard time finding the perfect present for yourself or the old rocker in your life?

Richie joined the band back in 2011 so he’s not exactly new. He’s in his early 40’s but he suffered a massive heart attack while on stage just a couple years ago. Was fortunate to have survived.

Lmao about being old & loving metal. I'm a 55 year old woman and I listen to more metal music than my nephew and my daughter. Kids today can not appreciate the old rock and metal bands. it's been a while since you've seen them, so let me give you an update .... saw them on the Firepower tour, and still rock the house. seems like maybe Rob's endurance is starting to wain, but JUST only a wee bit - all the range is still there.
also ... WOW - name-dropping Rocka Rolla 😅 man, i often forget about that album. but yeah, i agree, this does have a little of that Painkiller feel (perhaps turned down about half a notch; but to be fair, that's still more balls then most bands 🤷‍♂)
    Keep on rockin' 🤘

At 72, I guess we can cut him a break. LOL
That is so cool. I wonder if they are going to tour for this album. If they do, I can't imagine that Glenn will be with them this time around so it will be interesting to see what happens. Rob and Ian... As long as they're there, it's still priest!

Besides their ages, keep this in mind as well to understand how bollocks it is by JP to make a track like this in 2023. Rob Halford has underwent treatment for prostate cancer, including prostatectomy and chems. Glenn Tipton has severe Parkinson disease. During a live performance in 2021, Richie Faulkner, during Painkiller which is a twisted coincidence, suffers acute aortic dissection. He finishes the song and then undergoes 10 hrs of heart surgery.
I have been listening to JP for 20+ years. With the incredible comeback 2018 with Firepower, I really hoped it would be their last record. But of course I was wrong.
Panic Attack for me is without any doubt their best song since the Painkiller album. That was 34 years ago. THIRTY FOUR. I think it may be the most unexpected, against all odds achievement in metal history. All hail the metal gods!

It is funny that you should mention good old Biff. After I got the tickets to see Priest this coming May, I searched for Saxon and Accept. I found Saxon and gave a few tracks a listen and Biff sounded pretty good. I then had to divert from looking for Accept and hunt down U.D.O. He still looks like a bulldog and he still screams like a banshee. LOL
Saxon is responsible for one of the best concerts memories of my life.
Santa Monica Civic - they performed in a fairly small Hall and when they performed "Dallas 1:00pm" - right after the rim shots indicating the gun fire, they killed the lights and three way illuminated a huge disco ball that no one had noticed until that moment. It was simple, but God damn was it effective.

I havent liked around the last 3 judas priest albums. single wise, panic attack, lightning strikes, redeemer of souls all seem to blend into one mish mash. they sound far more like Iron maiden now with the rolling drums and the song structure being lead riffs rather than heavy chords as the bases for songs. I cant reconcile this as being the band that came up with you got another thing coming or free wheel burning, turbo lover. I have said this and some people say I should just be happy they are making albums, but nobody is above critique.
