This is such a cool video. Chadi, your channel really opened my eyes to the idea that most (if not all) cultures have some form of wrestling.

İ'm a Türk from Türkiye. Kurash sport is known in Türkiye Güreş. İt is meaning wrestling. We have different wrestling types. Karakujak, traditional Kırkpınar oil wrestling, aba wrestling etc. Aba wrestling similar judo. Mongolian and Turkish culture have similar and common ancestry.

It could be possible considering the many encounters the Japanese had with the Mongols during the Sengokujidai and before that they witnessed and incorporated some of their wresling techniques into JuJutsu and over time it developed and was refined or just passed over to Judo.

No encounter with the Mongols in the Sengoku-jidai. The Mongol invasions was in 13th and most of their soldiers were actually Koreans and Chinese who were under the Mongol empire.

This is Turkic Kursher wrestling, which was inherited by Mongols from ancestors of Turks (befor transition to Manjurian language), from Turkic Kuresh wrestling arose Greco-Roman wrestling, Japanese sumo and judo and other types of wrestling, Kuresh wrestling is a national sport among all Turkic peoples

@@MsKOLOBOK007 Show me real historical proof. Who brought turkish wrestling to Japan? Sumo was created based upon the rules of Xiang Pu (which is the Chinese translation of sumo). There are so many ancient paintings of Xiang Pu that heavily resembles to that of Sumo.

@@giuseppienad2632 Ancestors of Japanese have Turkic roots, hence struggle that arose on the basis of national Turkic struggle of Kuresh, as well as many peoples of Southeast Asia. China was created by Turkic clans and two-thirds of China's territories are Turkic land (Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang district with Tibet). Modern Greeks, Italians, Spaniards do not have struggle, but their Turkic ancestors had it, or rather those who lived in that territory before them. The world is not quite the same as the world's history falsifiers are trying to show it to you.

@@MsKOLOBOK007 Sorry I won't buy your bullshit. There is no clear evidence of the connection of both cultures. Just because there is a hypothesis that both cultures are connected because they came a proposed common language group which is Altaic, that doesn't mean that Japan is genetically, culturally and martially connected with the Turkic people.
