- welcome guys! a video short on our first run of the new 8" x 36" combo mat by prospectors dream mat USA, amazing results all round with the new mat soaking up the materials and providing a great view of the gold! indicating when we're on a pocket from the first scoop!!!

Awesome sluice, looks like it is cooking! I'm gonna test out the opposite approach on my little 6" mini highbanker, running a special 6" width regular vortex dream mat (a half-cut width-wise off the regular 12" version, so 1.5 cell sets acoss) in the top box, and a section of mini dream mat in the 2nd box bellow. 16" length per section on a 2000GPH pump, but the idea is to see if the big cell mat can hold/circulate/stall the big heavies (lots of ironstone, magnetite, and fine garnets here) and allow more room for the mini dream mat downsteam to collect and retain the finer stuff. An experiment, of course. Cheers!

Just ordered mine last week. The 12x36. Going to run it in my highbankers flared section. Glad to see it handling a high feed rate with quick exchange. Great video! 👍

Just received a 10x36 micro mat and it needs more water than I thought.
You really powered through that! Do you think it would matter if you classified it a bit further and/or put a larger landing above the mats to let the water churn it up a bit beforehand to catch more flour gold? I am in a location that holds mostly small amounts of flour gold.
nice 1 buddy, i don't think add on's or different sluices box's would matter! as long as the combo mat is in there, its job done! never seen any on the bottom mat lol
Hi Lewis - I'm putting this on my Christmas list! I was wondering - (now you've been using it for a while) would you stick with this exact set up if you could go back in time, or would you do a bit different? : For example maybe go for the same 36-inch mat, but put it in the longer 47-inch sluice ?
did this setup for the micro mat on the top end just as an indicator mat to see if ur on the gold by bucket ! it works great, top end starts the vortex strait away!! and absolutely nothing is getting away! i got this special order separate and made the top clamp myself!! nice one bro

What percentage of gold would you say gets caught in the mini mat?
on this combo mat its a micro/ cape D/ with mini at the bottom, never seen any past half way! most is caught on the cape D, and big bits drop strait on the first few rows of the mini.
I wish you had placed a catch tub at the bottom of the sluice to see if gold was getting buy.
we have never seen gold past half way, so don't see the point!
