OH MY GOODNESS!! My 10 year old @alaynasworld is soooooo tender-headed & she has a thick head of 3A/3B hair. I used to dread doing her hair, but she's gotten better over the years with quality products & me educating myself. You are so right about investing in shampoo & conditioner. Where was this video when she was younger? Wash day was brutal 💀😵😵

Thank you this video 😬I am tender headed and have a sensitive scalp with thick 4c hair😑I couldn’t stand wash day when I was younger. I knew when “lifestyles of the rich and famous / Starsearch “ went off on Sunday’s it was time to wash and press my hair 🤨I put up a good fight everytime. Bobby pins, buns, ponytails, braids,hot combs, flat irons, dryers, curlers it all pulls and bothers me lol but I wanna be cute💁🏾♀️ Loose two strand twist or flat twist are my only true hair friends.

Very informative. I may need to make an investment in one of those wet brushes as my daughter is truly a trip when her hair needs to be combed/brushed for any reason. She's one and still has her baby fine hair which is of normal porosity (I believe she may be 3c-4a final texture) unlike mine which is low. I don't use anything different in her hair from mine but lawd is combing out her hair for two strand twist a beast.

Conditioner should I be using lol she is 2 but those knots at the end. I’m definitely buying that brush lmao

Is there another denman brush you can recommend are one as close to it as possible. I went to look for the brush on amazon and it says it's no longer available. Me and my daughter have really thick hair and I was excited to buy the brush and was heart broken to see it's out of stock. So please if you could recommend another brush I would appreciate it.

I thought my daughter was just not wanting her hair done , until this year , she just cringes and shakes at the thought of her hair being combed , a mother knows when their child is pulling their leg, I made the mistake of getting her hair crochet and she cried for 4 days , I had to loosen her braids , and massage her scalp. I officially know she is a tender headed baby , she's 9 and now I'm here trying to figure out how to make this easier on my babies head

We’ve got 1 that’s tender headed at work, but sometimes she wants me to braid it because her mom is slightly hair challenged. We have ground rules now, she’s 7 so she gets to say “ow” but no screaming and no touching her hair while I’m working. Why do they always think grabbing the hair is gonna make it better?! She’s just tangling it up worse!!! I did better with the kid who threw her torso forward every time it snagged cuz I could move with her and keep on braiding 😂
😂 I’m light handed but somehow my braids turn out snug, so most of my child clients fall asleep on me. I can only imagine how frustrating it is to have all that going on the whole service! 😂
Girl you sound like my momma doing my sister's hair back in the day. Either braiding, pressing, or washing that was them on the wkds. 😂 to this day at 30 yrs old and 3 1\2 kids of her own she STILL don't like doing anything to her hair. Tora G I cant even imagine. These are white girls with like about 2A and 2B curl patterns. But thick as get out. Like snap the hair band trying to get it around the ponytail a second time thick. If these same girls had been born with curls like I’ve got (I’m about 3B) or hair in the 4’s, I’d be like “nope, you go see your mom to get your hair done!” 😂
I had one patient with hair in the 4’s and I mentioned one time to her mom maybe I should do her hair and she was like “don’t worry about it, I’ll do it at night when I do her bath.” I was like “thank god!! Cuz I’d need a whole tutorial first!!”

Hey Linwood. I am a white girl with long fine hair, tender headed. I always use wide tooth combs, never hair brushes. Not sure why just seem more comfortable using the wide tooth comb. Those two pink brushes that you showed us are something I am considering especially the “snake style” brush.
I think I'll get that snake brush because I really tend to stay away from brushing my roots when I'm trying to braid, and I be like, well I'm not trying to GuhRAAAABB the roots anywayzzzzssoooooo....

My hair knots when I have my hair down and its annoying. I cut my ends every 3 months. I have it mid back. Should I cut it shoulder length? I use leave in conditioner and use kerastaste hair mask and I use wet hair brush. I use cantu conditioning cream. My head hurts when I tie it half up, half down and it's even worse when i have it in a bun and pony tail, I use to have thick hair and alot has fallen out. I want to bleach my ends but idk anymore since my middle end strands gets tangled so bad! 😭😭

Great Tips :). So tenderheaded, on the top of my head, that a loose pineapple causes my scalp to ache. Have to pull my hair back to the nape of my neck :(.
It’s likely from the fact that your hair isn’t used to going in that direction. I would recommend putting your hair up more often, even if it’s only as long as you can tolerate. It allows the scalp to get used to the hair flowing in that direction, and that type of manipulation.
If it begins to bother you, you can then move it back low. The scalp is often like this when people who usually wear their hair curly straighten it, or when people who usually relaxer their hair have more new growth. The stimulus to the scalp is different and will make it temporarily sore.😊👍🏽❤️

Can you please do a video and share some ideas for African American hair thatd super super dry and brittle, no matter what I've tried nothing will make it soft, its literally like straw I don't know what to do. The hair is not black it's almost kind of a sandy color and I met someone else with that color hair and they said that it has a tendency to be dry like this.

I love tour videos.Which shampoo, conditioner, leave in and any other products for my daughter. Her hair is high porosity. Gets tangled even after washing. Desperate mum.
First, try putting the hair in about six standard braids before shampooing, it helps prevent massive tangling. The Giovanni Ultra Moist products I listed in the description box are great, I also like Shea Moistures high porosity masque.
