RT I hope you read this. I truly believe you're the major reason brood war is still alive in the west. You're one of the very few brave enough to actually play and try to improve in this god forsaken game, and I just love all the analysis during and after the games. Rarely you get something so in depth, especially for a game such as BW. I love to go over your stream and troll the fuck out of you but man, thank you, thank you so much for the great work. If you ever stop, I'm pretty confident it's the end of BW outside KR/CN, so here's hoping you never do. Also, tesagi.
Without Artosis and Tasteless I probably would've lost interest long ago. I haven't played BW in 20 years but I still watch pro games every few days because of them.
Had never even considered watching pro Starcraft (either BW or SC2) before. Artosis randomly popped up in my suggestions about eight months ago and I clicked on the video. Finally subscribed three months ago and have watched every vid since then. So entertaining and interesting (I'm getting chills). You're the man RT.
I have never played a single multiplayer starcraft match ever, i struggle to even win the caimpaing on the hardest difficulty and I still watch your casts every day. You make it sound insteresting even for non fans of the game!

Neat little bonus about the (possible) deep dives at the end of these videos; having there sometimes be extra at the end adds additional uncertainty to how the match is going to go as you watch it. Thanks to the video length, often you can tell what sort of game to expect based on the time remaining, but not so much if there might be something else at the end that extends it (or not).
Thanks a ton for casting these games. I personally really enjoyed the deep dive at the end. It adds a deeper understanding of *why* the game played like it did and makes the video better.
Your comparison to chess is spot on. Sometimes the seemingly most innocuous difference literally changes the whole game. For top players, it makes all the sense to try to understand and exploit them.
@MrPianoPolitic wrong. Stockfish plays at a modest 3668ELO, the world's BEST player plays at 2805, which means Stockfish will statistically win 99.31% of the games they play. Let's not even bother and round that to 100%.
@@MasterJohnam It is not 100%, because again chess is not solved. Suggesting chess is even remotely solved by engines also shows you have no idea how a chess engine works. Now 19 years later, the game isn’t mysterious anymore, but my love for it has only grown. Thank you so much artosis for keeping this alive and giving me something to watch every morning with my coffee. Ps if every video was twice as long with a post-game analysis, I sure wouldn’t complain
Just dropping a comment to ENCOURAGE the post-game analysis. I love the analysis and details, that's what makes your casts stand out from the rest. Very interesting. Love the passion.
21:50 😂 That was so unexpected I spat out my coffee. Hearing analysis about the adjustments is what makes Brood War the best game in existence. The various branching paths of openers, no matter how minute, demands proper counter reaction if you want to always be ahead of your opponent and seeing Flash gradually understand the current meta and grow into prime form over the last several videos was a delight.
Small changes and details that make a big difference are why watching Broodwar never gets old, and why as I've gotten older I prefer it over SC2. Keep up the great analysis!
That's how much respect they have for his brains. Just because the muscle memory and game sense needs some de-rusting, doesn't mean they don't consider him on the same level as Nada for strategic thinking.
I really liked the in-depth replay at the end. Those who don't care about it already got what they want and moved on, and it really threw me in for a loop when I thought there was another 10 minutes of gameplay when RT said it's in Flash's pocket.
I also think that Flash is going to return to power if he commits to it, and I completely agree that he's not worried about winning and losing so much as experimenting. But, the hurdles that he still has to overcome seem to be mechanical ones. We're seeing him lose SCVs to probes, idling SCVs, building a million turrets and still losing his whole base to a shuttle and Reaver. Old Flash seemed to take fewer precautions than other players, yet take less damage than the situation seemed to merit. He would turn this corner-cutting into unstoppable timings. Seeing him win now with decision making and tactics is vaguely reminiscent of Ace-era Boxer, or Jaedong when he was starting to get back into the pro scene. None of this is to say that he won't tighten everything back up--I expect him to--but until he does, he's fighting without his superpower, and his dominance can't be a foregone conclusion.
When you're experimenting a lot, you lose some of the focus on the micro, it's normal. Once he's mostly done experimenting, he can put that focus back to the mechanical side.
Flash is so sick of Terran being bullied by the same old uncreative Reaver Shuttle. He clearly showed that Reaver Shuttle micro backfired itself when surrounded by strategic positioned tanks
I still love your analyze after match. It made me understand more clear what happened in the game and player's decision. This make me only watch Starcraft cast in your channel and not any where. Great work and thank you Arty
