- If you're plum crazy about Mopars, buckle up! We're dropping a 500 cubic inch big block into a 1971 Duster. We're also adding a new driveshaft, high-performance starter, and programmable ignition system. Then, we take our bracket beast to the track.

I don't know what you guys are doing, but that car should be running at least in 6.70s with that motor. I have a Duster with a standard 383 with RPM heads and it runs low sevens. Have seen many 360 small blocks run as fast yours.
The Duster is my second favorite Mopar body after the 1970 Roadrunner. My roommate had a '74 360 Duster and I drove a '70 383 Roadrunner. 😉
Sounds like good times.
@@AutoYoung Thanks. Yes, they were. We would live paycheck to paycheck buying performance parts. We would keep them in our lockers and hope not to get caught by the First Sergeant during barracks inspections.😉

My mom had a 71 Duster in college. Sadly she didn't keep it and my dad didn't keep any of his military cars either including his 67 Camaro that he got hustled out of while stationed in CA.
The Duster is the perfect hot rod. Just big enough to fit a big block, yet small enough to weigh in the 3000 lb.
You mean the Foxody Mustang was the perfect hot rod
@@302efiduster is actually lol dumbasses😂😂
Great vid for us dreamers . Thanks for keeping the dream alive .
Wow that’s an oldie You guys dug deep into the vault for this one
Perfect timing and location. Nothing like following the main attractions.
Looks very similar to Frieburger's Crop Duster
was just gonna say that same thing
Always a pleasure to see Joe and his Gary Owens voice. Gary was the anonouncer on Smuthers Brothers show.
I am 440 CI IS A POWER FUEl good video strong mopar love..
Great 👍 Build guys on the MoparOrNoCarz.
Note they clamped the back section of leaf sprins , and not front ,also car looks like it has super stock mopar springs at on side view
Could of used a grinder on the k member and cleaned up where the motor mounts went, so doesn’t look like my kid sister did the job.
Agreed, whoever preps these cars for the starts are probably the real hacks. These guys just go along for the dough probably.
Did you see the size of the bolt v/s the the hole it went in?
about time they build some MOPAR! tired of seeing all the ford and gm junk.
I still dont see how 675 hp turns into an 11.0 car?
Yeah I think they're GM guys not Mopar guys
Back in the day... I'm not a kid anymore
That 600hp seems way over rated less the air was terrible there.
A friend of the family ran NHRA stock, 3100lb car, 545hp on the dyno and that car was 10.2's in the high 120's / low 130mph.
That car should be putting it on the rear bumper when it leaves with 600ft/lbs and 630HP.
sometimes they dyno corrected by 10% then they go to a track to test and the air there is 4 k elevation or something , or just BS
Really miss the blooper reels
This was my favourite show I miss Chuck
Awesome job 👍 guys I appreciate all your Tips and video's keep up the great build guys
🤔Must be Taking that Duster off roading! 😂🤣😂
Damn I'm old.. i remember when this was new...
Nice car great job!!
The A- Body is not ,nor any unit body , meant to be cut at fenders and looses its strength when making fenderwell cuts .this need to be braced, Glassteck hood is double what old price was
Does anybody run 1/4 mile anymore ?
Only fuel cars run 1000' in competition. The rest is either the quarter or eighth.
Yeah we don't live in the south.
Wow totally cut up a factory heavy duty K-member 70 and 71 was the only years for them
Good videos, but your audio is always very low
I miss chuck
I was so excited for this episode, then I saw that automatic transmission and lost all motivation and enthusiasm to watch it further. Death to automatic transmissions, forever!
This is like 25 years in the past this stuff is junk now of day lol
that motor plate made me cringe
this stuff you call junk is going for millions today.
@@Shabalnis lmfao millions ?????? This junk is at swap meet all the time for couples hundred bucks all day it's junk lol
@@charliesgarageusa4986 guess you've never seen mecum auctions? maybe you should stick with sesame street since cars aren't your thing.
@@Shabalnis lmfao you know nothing about hp that is some funny 💩 right there.
