I read a story on reddit where this woman went on a date in Utah where she went on an evening hike, and at one point they accidentally stepped on something and both got this overwhelming sensation of dread and fear, and both the redditor and her date nope out of the area. Turns out that they stepped on one of Ted Bundy's victims, and he was hiding just out of sight in some bushes. Apparently in an interview Bundy gives his recount of said mentioned story and he says that that was the closest he's ever gotten to getting caught.
