Hey Darrel I love the video, but as a HUGE Lynyrd Skynyrd fan I can tell you that Simple Man is tuned to E flat standard and is played slower. I love your videos and keep up the great work!

Not overly difficult and really pretty, "Wish you were here". I'm learning myself it right now with the help of whatever videos I can find. Such an amazing song.

It is great to see some Skynyrd played by you Darrell! I remember when I just discovered that band back in 1978 and then they went and got killed right away in a plane crash! Bummer big time!
I had the original Street Survivors LP with them in flames, but then their record company pulled all those from the shelves because of the crash. I wore that album out. I should have kept the cellophane cover intact and bought a second copy. The originals are worth some money now. What great music! The best Southern Rock band ever!

Hi Darrell aspiring guitar player here! So I recently discovered a brilliant song by Joel Leggett called Give It to the Ocean, and the guitar part has got me hooked. I'm determined to learn it now, but the problem is that since he is such a small and unknown artist there are no tutorials to be found on the song. If you or anyone else here in the comments could look it up on Spotify or itunes and try to figure it out that would be amazing! Even any tips would help!

great vid. phenomenal picking song for skipping strings while challenging the left hand is Bach's Cello Suite 1 in D, which sounds almost as good on an acoustic as it does in a cello

ok, growing up in the 70's, Boston is so easy to make fun of, but damn that little riff sounds good.
and WTH!? i thought i had my 'first guitar' selection narrowed down (kinda) - a Strat (or Tele), maybe a Les Paul (after your last vid), or an acoustic nylon string (Flamenco, Jazz Manouche, ...), but no hillbilly, steel string acoustic. .............. guess i was wrong about that.
love your vids. this is one of my fav's. thanks for all the great stuff.

Lyle W I've never really listened to Boston much. Why would it be easy to make fun of them?

I drive a smart car they had a very distinctive sound and became very popular. which led to massive radio overplay. just became easy to make fun of (that thing ppl do when something becomes very popular)
