Because the system is that ALL dirty money goes to the group, the group has a system to clean it, and then it gets divided based on set percentages. Whenever Lang said, "your side thing is your own thing," the "side thing" in question are LEGAL JOBS not illegal jobs.
And I think that's the biggest miscommunication. They kept speaking in code while doing the on-boarding and didn't say flat out, "Your dirty money comes to us and your legal business is your own."
it sounds like their system is to take the money people do on jobs and then provide a kickback of a portion of it. If some people are putting in all their money and taking a % back, and other people are only putting in some of the money, they are effectively stealing from the group. Idk if anyones doing that but it seems like a pretty big problem. Like Marty got 3 guns the other night, if he chooses to sell 1 or 2 of them for say 50k and doesn't then put the 50k into the group, meanwhile Harry makes 50k selling weed and does put it all in, some people are getting scammed.

Neither harry or lang understand what the other is trying to say. Lang misunderstood harry when he said he asked Marty how to combat the system. Harry isn’t trying to combat(scam) the crews system. He asked Marty for a way to combat(fix) the way people are already scamming the crew.
True, but Lang is saying why is he bringing it up with Martin in the first place. He is a don and should find a way to fix it himself or with the other dons. The dons and the new recuits are not equals. The dons are supposed to be the leaders. Talking about failures in the system in any capacity to Martin will just fill Martin with doubts about the system and make him lose trust, which would cause the system to inevitably fail anyway.
Langs point is he gets people can cheat the system but he trusts the people he works with to not do that.
Really only dons should know system and gigi rest should no every detail to everything
Tbf, martys side crew thing with larry x and the other guy has no acces to resources from lang, so why would they pay them the money they do with the side crew, which is i believe the only way marty makes dirty cash

If the crew's materials/apps/weed/cash is being used/sold then the money gets logged and you get a kickback for that. I think it's fine if you run a side hustle so long as you don't use group stuff.

I don't believe that what they are doing will last very long. Too many don's to make it work long term. Also can't understand why some of the guys cry about money when they've seen first hand how much money materials bring in. Why don't they just go work 1-3 hours/day at sanitation if they want money so badly.

So apparently *ALL* dirty money is suppose to go to the group and then gets distributed based on set percentages of how you got the dirty money.
Thing is when Lang would tell people at onboarding that "Your side thing is your own, we don't want part of it." He meant LEGAL JOBS. So Marty thought, you get to decide how much of the dirty money you give and you get a percentage based on what you put in. So he has (unknowingly) been getting dirty money deciding okay y% of this I will give to the group and cleaning the rest himself.
However, Speedy has who knows the system, has been *intentionally* doing that. And Harry has just figured out that their system is based 100% on trust was trying to brainstorm (with Marty) on how to make it so that it isn't.
In the beginning I thought arush and luciano would be the most problematic even though they're dons xD
this ''dons'' shit is making things more complicated. its like playing chinese telephone for no reason. if marty just directly talked to lang without the middle man harry (that doesnt understand shit himself) it would make much more sense to him.
Harry is the one who started the talk with Marty, not the other way around.

Because Lang gave Marty, Larry, and Oscar the same, "Your side thing is your side thing, whatever you (choose to) put in increases your kickbacks." Lang's onboard made it seem like it was voluntary, when really what Lang meant was, "The money you get from your legal jobs is your own, dirty money has to comes to us, and whatever you (have to) put in increases your kickbacks."
It's a huge miscommunication.

@@umop3plsdn What 3? Marty, Larry, and Oscar? Marty has his casino, Larry and Oscar do sanitation. Also mining BUTC is also legal. Marty also was G6 and had an ATM but now he does hunting and is trying to strike up a deal with the LU (Lumber Union) to be their boxed wool provider so they can make rugs for their Interior Design Business.
There is a ton of legit business to be done in the city, and interestingly enough those 3 have been relatively clean. So much so that after their first meeting Larry and Oscar *started* weed running and Marty *started* weed growing because up until that point they didn't really do crime.

Lang's biggest flaw is he always let harry shit slide, that's why harry knows he can do whatever he wants and lang will forgive him, even in 3.0
It's basicly the same with Speedy tho. The amount of times speedy has snaked Lang in 3.0 and been cought doing it and then barely anything happens except once that I can remember... and that one time wasn't even that bad of a punishment since speedy himself was bored of having to go make weapons multiple times a day lol.

But the thing is that Buddha would most likely treat speedy the exact same way if speedy didn't have the habbit of fighting back with threats to expose Lang's stuff every time he got punished lol.
You can say the same about Lang. maybe not as much in 4.0 yet but in 3.0 Lang micromanaged all of them and gatekept them from stuff he had unless they did what he wanted. And they all let Lang slide because he had so much leverage and resources.
Depending on the angle you choose to view it from they all can say that about another person. Lang is far from perfect in that regard. A lot of times he acted extremely petty and cut them off or took away keys simply because they didn’t do what he wanted them to. And the only thing keeping him from doing that now is he doesn’t have total control of resources which doesn’t give him the leverage he once had. Yet.

more like adding ppl who are smart enough, or smarter than some of the crew members that can undermine the big heads' authority. Even if no one admits it, Marty has the same qualities of JP, only he is a pacifist, but he can create chaos or play with anyone's emotion at his position.
Honestly, I won't be surprised if Marty's goal is slow burning Lang and crew to find a way in robbing them too by gaining their trust and lay down the plans while he's in their group.
Harry and Speedy both waste money on useless shit and then cry that they have no source of income when both of them don’t do there legal jobs that make money, Harry doesn’t do sani when ppl are paying 6-10 per for cb. Harry could 2 man sani and make like 900 recyclables a hour, 450 split could make him anywhere between 2700-4500 a hour depending on who he sells to. And that’s not including the paycheck he gets from sani. Speedy is able to do grime with Cousin but instead does roof running which gives dirty money that’ll be split between the group. (Cleaners/Crew and himself)
