- I believe in transparency and financial literacy, so here's a look at what I made in November of 2022 as a small Twitch streamer. For reference, as of filming, I had 1800 followers and averaged 25 viewers per stream. I stream 2X per week for a total of 5 hours, and I stream DJ sets.

I've been streaming since January and I am at 75 followers. Not even an affiliate because I can't reach 3 average viewers. It's really disappointing and sad... Update: 3 months later, I am an affiliate with 200+ followers. It's still very small and I am growing slowly, but I don't want to give up. I love the little community I've built and I hope it continues to grows.

I know how to get affiliate fast you have to be a girl and also make friends or acquaintances in other streamers chats but don't self promo. Also just use your phone make another account to add a viewer for affiliate
Keep at the grind! No one said getting to the top was easy! Look at me! I'm planning on being a part time streamer in November, and I already have a set schedule.

So I actually always wondered how much small streamers make and its actually alot more than I thought however I did think most of it would've cone from Ad Revenue and I'm actually shocked. It does explain though why my Ad revenue is also always so low even when I views are higher than usual for perspective for me I average around 5-7 viewers per stream and stream around 2-4 hours a day around 4 times a week
I just started I’m at 35 followers trying to average more and play with more cool people. I enjoy gaming and friends . Just need the support behind it

I made the threshold for payout and never got one and I went from $62.88 to $40.12 I feel like twitch doesn’t want me to win and I even asked the customer support they basically said oh well…

Edit: I'd love to start streaming but I'm super busy and don't know how much of a commitment it would be (promoting, posting short clips on social media/YT, steaming, and backend)
I stream twice a week for about 4 hours. I highly recommend streaming but I know it can feel daunting with all the other things we have to do to run a biz. I have ideas for you. Hit me up on IG!

Do you need to setup anything, in order to get payouts? Or does it just automatically setup once you start getting alot of viewers and followers?
Nope! As long as you have affiliate status and you go through the set up, it will send automatically

Twitch has a far better user experience and community but dang it, UA-cam has much wider reach. I would say, Multistream to both but focus on building community on Twitch! Good luck 👍🏼

I would say yes, but have a look at twitch tracker or even in the twitch app and see what the numbers look like. Sometimes playing something niche like that will totally work in your favor!

How many hrs did you put in if you don’t mind me asking. I myself in the grind as we speak. 🙏🏽
At that time, I streamed 2x per week for 4 hours total. That said, I spent a LOT of time building community, networking and creating content. Keep up that grind, but remember… have fun on the journey!

Sure! I spent between 4-6 hours per week streaming, and about 8 hours a week making content to promote my stream, and about 3 hours a week in my discord and other discords. Also, I’m in the music category
How do you grow your community more? I have been streaming about 8 months, i am affiliate, and I have 84 followers. Over time I've gain followers from raiding other streamers but are there any other tips you can give?
I grew my community organically by meeting other streamers who were similar to me, showing up in their streams, supporting them and joining their Discords. It's def taken a long time, but it has been so rewarding! Best of luck to you!

I actually stream DJ sets and my strategy for getting subs is to build an audience and community organically. It’s taken me a long time, but I really think the relationship building is the key!

Let's not forget to tell people that twitch takes 50%. Also have more viewers and didn't make that much lol so not everyone will make that. Do it for the fun and the people because most likely will be disappointed when twitch takes half lol . Have a great day peeps ❤
