Great overview on Grommets! I really enjoy these short form videos..easy to digest wham I’m pressed on time. Then I can watch the longer stuff when I have some downtime!
@@NerdUpLevelUp I am very new to all of this, so this is all theory not yet practiced. I have to figure out the shape and cut for my arms. Thank you for the reply and support!
It's so funny as an electrician we have similar tools I use a drill bit and a knockout kit to make holes in sheet metal and panel boxes and you uee a romex connector which is basically a grommet that holds wire
Yeah, there really isn't "cosplay tools" so we just end up using all the same ones everyone else does...just for different reasons! You should see my tool collection!
I saw online a knock off porcelain corset which is why I’m here I want to make one so badly 😩 can I do this with Worbla? Or can I only use it with the materials you use I’ve never made anything so I have no idea what’s better or more importantly beginner friendly
Ill watch all of your videos in full capacity. Thank you for the content. Its very knowledgable.
Thank you so much!!

I got you!
I had no idea grommets could be done so easily! Fantastic tips!
And they look so good!
Ally, this is good information for the beginner and pro to learn!!
Thank you so much Phillip!
Nice work! Love the short video format. :)
Thank you! Hoping people won't skip through so much of the video this way
Are you ever worried about the grommets causing the foam to rip when the corset is put on?
Fantastic! I should try this with the arm bracers I was looking to make
You should! It's SO GOOD on bracers and you can use smaller diameter grommets and put them closer together to get more of the "laces" look

great tip. Could be a great game changer
I am using 4mm eva foam for a project and am having trouble finding grommets that are thick enough to go all the way through. What do you use

Artistry comes in all shapes and forms

You can use worbla! I’m making some now!
What size grommets should I use for your Sylvie pattern ?
I'm SO SORRY I didn't see this!! I like the 8mm grommets. My favorite brand is Sewology from Hobby Lobby.
Will this work if your corset is too small to close? I built a corset out of foam but the back is just a bit too small.
Yes it should - I think the main advantage of lace-up closures is that it makes the size more flexible
I'm struggling with the grommets so much 😭
But they do make the armor look so nice!
@@NerdUpLevelUp I agree but I think my foam is just too thick for them 😭
