I love the colors but hate that they used the KC logo the pants can be better and the suit could be more tight instead of so baggy it isn’t absolutely terrible but definitely not one of my favorites
0:59 The reason why I believe, and I'm theorizing, is that the reveal was meant to be a tester. The suit on set has been altered. The emblem's smaller, the colors much more vibrant, and they've shaved the front of the collar. So my guess is that the crew, over the last month, has been adjusting the suit based on feedback and wanted to give it another go.

Hearing what David’s stunt double has said about how well he embodies the character of Superman gets me really excited for it.
Why are you avg everyone ignoring his baggy and creased up the suit is. Especially in the midsection. It’s like the suit is a too big for him and he’s not filling it it out as they anticipated. On many of these shots the suit is baggy and Creasing up. Looks like cosplay.

Clearly you’ve never made a suit/costume. Thin layer of cloth over top Eva foam or rubber. Just as the belt is…100% Eva foam

They have a purpose They aren't shoehorned in there unlike the MCU where Iron Man was shoehorned into the Spider-Man films. The fact that people still don't understand this baffles me.

I’m probably in the minority here, I always felt that HC was somewhat short for the role, and the length of the cape made him even look shorter.

He looks short around the other members of the Justice League and even in shots with Lois Lane in Man of Steel he looks short

@@JOVONO I usually kept my comments to myself at that time amongst my fellow Superman friends… the moment I realized HC wasn’t tall enough is when the camera did a long shot of him n Lois… and I thought, this doesn’t look right… but heck, 6’ 1” is a good height for James Bond!
@@RFazor I remember being shocked to see that he was 6’1 because when I saw him in the movie I thought he must have been a bit shorter and they did a Michael Keaton casting where they had a shorter actor in the role
Not that I thought Cavill was anything under 5’11 but some sources say he is 6’2
If he is 6’1 it doesn’t bother me too much that’s still pretty tall and he’s not the shortest actor to play Superman
It reminds me of the photo of the failed Justice League movie where they had 6’5 Armie Hammer as Batman and 5’10 DJ Catrona as Superman it just didn’t look right especially because Batman is meant to be agile and when he’s taller than what he is in the comics (6’2) it looks a bit weird as well
Henry Cavill in some of those shots looks like what I imagined Matt Bomer would have looked like as Superman where he looks great just not tall enough

A bunch of boomers making a Superman movie and a bunch of boomers running WB and making decisions, they shouldn't be making. This is 2024 and suppose to be getting a modern day Superman and instead we are getting something from the 90s. This is why MOS will be hard to outdo. this has got to be the first time a sneaky paparazzi picture is way better than the official reveal picture. I am absolutely IN LOVE with the colors on the suit, i love that there's no visible abs and that the extra lines are actually not too noticeable. Also, now he looks like he's filling out the suit nicely, unlike in the first reveal.

Superman is such a great charector. I always took inspiration from him even tho i look nothing like him. As a Indian fan i really hope this movie lives up to every Superman fan's expectations.

Yeah I think it looks great…I love that they stuck with basically the Christopher Reeves color scheme but just updated the shield…and I’m super happy they kept the emblem on the cape too. Finally, the cape length works better here than in the Snyderverse…Cavill’s cape always touched the ground and it oddly made him look kinda short and stocky…interestingly he always looked much more imposing as Clark Kent than as Superman.

@@bravo1224 That’s fair, it’s what makes us fans. We like what we like! Even those of us who are tired of the briefs do not deny that it’s the classic or iconic look of Superman. The crest is the Kingdom Come version for Superman. The way the cape sits in the shoulder is okay but not something I’ve really ever stared at or was a deal breaker for me. I will be dead honest, for years I preferred the iconic look until Snyders take came along. The crest was very regal to me and popped out to me. I liked the design with the briefs and Zack showed it can be done. I will say I did want Zack’s version to have a brighter blue! I absolutely loved the length of the cape and how the shots of his cape “FLAPPPIN!” As Tyrone Magnus would say was captured in man of Steel.
@@kendallfleming5858 Yes, I would’ve totally been fine a brighter version of the Snyder suit - it also looked more ‘alien’ to me which makes more sense given that it’s Kryptonian. I’m just a sucker for the Reeve look but also need to come to terms with the fact that those films are 40+ yrs ago 😂.

Jack Nicholson came along and played the joker..🃏……ALL HAIL! I thought he would never be touched by another actor playing the joker….until Heath Ledger came along and for me that was it! Heath took it up a step! For me, Henry Cavill is my Superman! The only thing I said when I saw the suit was they could’ve popped the blue a tad bit more. The crest and everything was regal, love it! Still do! The crest is bar none for me!

I don't like it. Sorry. I'm not team-trunks. I also don't care for how loose-fitting it is. That belt should be used to fasten a chest-piece to Superman, not hold his trunks up (why are your trunks so over-sized that you need a belt for them?) Those are my only gripes though. Everything else is fine.

I'm not a fan of MoS. I have loved Superman for decades. This isn't about Snyder fans. There is a lot to like about the suit but there's also a lot that just doesn't work. The shield should be an "S." Sorry but I have no idea what that symbol is without context. We know what it is so it makes sense to us but in the world of the movie, you probably have no idea that's supposed to be an S. The segmented armor look is bizarre and the collar is very silly. Why would they bring back the turtleneck memes? It's a mixed bag. There's a lot about the suit that just looks bad, honestly

It looks like a cheap CW suit, or cosplay. The big red diaper with big cheesy yellow belt loops would look good on a 1972 action figure. And like the big reveal photo, the suit has folds and lumps. WBD stock tanked when they announced the reboot and fired Cavill, and It's still going down. This is part of the reason why. And now the film is going to be woke. The Suicide Squad was the biggest DCEU flop until the Flash. And they gave DC to the guy who made it. Not surprising there's little hype or excitement for this. The DCU is DOA.

The suit looks slightly loose fitting so that David can move around freely without feeling shrink wrapped. Superhero suits are always beefed up in post-production

Thank you for showing the pics, the suit looks amazing, I agree that it should've been revealed with these pics. It's refreshing to finally see a brighter costume and to see the yellow S on the cape. I feel like briefs look amazing for a more welcoming, warm, friendly, down to earth superman. And for me it seems this is where the movie is going. The briefs make him look less intimidating and more fantastical. But I don’t mind what iteration has trunks. For me if you’re going for a brighter, more hopeful superman i feel like the trunks just give it that much more of a friendlier look in a way. But a darker, more serious iteration I feel like works best without it like Snyder’s

They weren’t! Snyder showed Supes can wear a different style looking suit and still look cool. DCEU fans, we are not dumb we know Man of Steel and Cavill didn’t redine the character, we simply liked the different take!
