Hey ladies! Thank you for caring for God's creatures. In this case 🐴🐴🐴 horses. There is another horse farm/ homestead who took on a Draft horse rescue that I have been watching for months now. They are located in Missouri. Reach out to J.R. He is wonderful with all of his horses and his entire family work with them too. Really great that horses are going to be in very good care!!!
Yes, I think she is with foal and let me just comment that I agree, 100% with your methods of training! Many of the other trainers, I watch should watch you and I think they have a lot better luck, even though they’ve been doing it for years.
Its crazy people don't realize the cost of owning a horse, pasture, hay grain, salt blocks, wormer, fly protection, then vet bills farrier costs every 6 weeks, not to mention tack is very expensive. One emergency trip to an equine vet costs thousands. Atleast these horses looked to be in decent body condition, the owner did them a favor by letting them go before they were skin and bones. Many are not as considerate
One other crazy thing is that hay 2 years ago was $2.50 a bale, now $6 for ever smaller bales. Grain was $8 a bag, now $25. Multiply that by 4 head and what was recently affordable is now impossible. So at least the owner made a good decision for their situation.
@@Windsongwoodshop it's even higher in many areas, I paid 180 per ton for 3rd cut dairy grade alfalfa a couple of years ago, today its now closer to 300 per ton, grass hay is close to nonexistant since I live in a high desert area and alfalfa is what grows. To: RH Farm Rescue and Stables: Good video. Well done! I grew up around horses. Got my horse when I was in 6th Grade, and my sister got hers a couple of months later. Have ridden in a few horse shows and gymkhanas and on Trail Rides and have trimmed horse hooves and announced a few Horse Shows. Am now retired and wish I could afford a horse and a place for one so that my Grandkids could learn about good stuff instead of watching Sci-Fi Space junk. I say that you and your helpers/associates got verrrrry lucky with those unknown horses and getting them into the horse trailers and then getting them out at the destination without any blood or broken bones (horse or human). I have seen some horses go totally ape shape / NUTS in the skull concerning horse trailers. Lead ropes broken / halters broken / people kicked or stepped on by a horse and the horse hurt by the wood and metal of the trailer as they stomped / kicked / reared. Horses are prone to spooking easily.
They all look pretty good, so I must have missed the "why" of the emergency reason. Even the draft isn't looking all that bad either, depending on her age, perhaps she does need some added weight.
All are at a BCS of 3 or less except the mustang. We were contacted because the owner couldnt afford to feed them anymore, didn't have funds for vet needs etc.
Its great that if they knew they couldnt keep the horses, they got someone who would take care of their health problems and find them good homes before things got bad!
@@joanbryant4601 Absolutely right! If only all horse owners had a heart like this one. To sell them, for the few hundred at most that it would bring in, is SUCH a despicable act! If only the govt funded rescue ops, and if they were the gateway to the auctions, and if every horse that needs help, or fails to be sold to a CERTIFIED good quality home, would go the rescues instead, what a better world it would be! Backyard breeding, and even a lot of for profit breeding, would need to be banned and punished too. The root of the problem is that there are too many horses, so many are not valued as they should be. This would create higher prices at the low end, but in my mind that's ok. Only people who can afford to care for them should buy them. I'm sad to say that as badly as I have always wanted horses, I'm one of those who wouldn't be able to do it. But that is the reality. It would also create a shortage of meat for dog food, and a subsequent HUGE price increase, but in my mind that is also good, because there are also FAR TOO MANY DOGS AND CATS, any hundreds ARE PUT TO SLEEP EVERY DAY, in just the US! And not in the kindest of ways. I have seen videos that so heartbreaking that I've had to turn them off because the sound of the suffering was just too much. Every SPCA etc has to do mass euthanasia on an almost daily basis, because there are just too many unwanted animals! So increased costs, and the resultingly smaller number of them, would be a good thing too. Imagine, every year there'd be millions of animals less that suffer in unimaginable ways ! ! ! Over just a few years, maybe 10 years, there would be BILLIONS less animals suffering, and dying in the worstv ways imaginable! Doesn't that mean anything to people? I sometimes think it doesn't. We all need to donate to the rescue operation of our choice ! ! ! We should all check if they are a registered charity, then give whatever we can. Every dollar counts.
Wow that So beautiful what you're doing❤ I hope one of these horse trailer companies reach out to you and donate a trailer and a truck That would be really cool to see someone great that is doing good for animals receive something that is so paramount ❤❤❤❤👍🏾🙏🏾🤟🏾👌🏾👏🏾
Those horses were grateful to have grass. Rarely do they just saunter in like they own the place. Most run the fence line trying to figure out where they are. That was one of the easiest rescues ever, lol?
Great rescue all the way around. From the person saving them originally to then calling abd asking for help. Thank you for what you do. May I ask about the donkey? I feel sad that it looks like he will be alone now? Just curious
These horses look great compared to some surrendered horses I've seen. They all got in the trailer.. the feet weren't that bad( long hooves) and I'd say you girls have some feeding to do and normal care..vacs worming, etc but I'd say that with a little time and work everyone will be ok!?
So was that last horse the one that the third horse was throwing a fit about being separated from? The bonds these animals have is comparable to the relationships humans have and to tear a "couple" apart is traumatizing beyond words for them.
I have so much sympathy and respect for the owner and knowing what needed to be done and doing the right thing.

Thankfully it worked out ok for us!
She looks pregnant to me. All that weight is towards the rear. Good job you! ❤❤
If any of those donkeys is a jack, yer gonna have a li’l mule
Eek! I don't know if they were intact or not!!
Beautiful Job! 😍🥰 Amazing opportunity for everyone 👏
Yes mustang looks pregnant for sure 👍
Ya'll sure did luck out. They loaded. Good job.
🎉this is great you can take care of these sweeties
They all look pretty good, so I must have missed the "why" of the emergency reason. Even the draft isn't looking all that bad either, depending on her age, perhaps she does need some added weight.
All are at a BCS of 3 or less except the mustang. We were contacted because the owner couldnt afford to feed them anymore, didn't have funds for vet needs etc.
Its great that if they knew they couldnt keep the horses, they got someone who would take care of their health problems and find them good homes before things got bad!
And didn’t just dump at an auction to make a few bucks. So at least owners cared. Poop happens. Especially in this current situation with society
Thank you for taking them ❤
@@joanbryant4601 Absolutely right!

You could consider reaching HPlus for a medical grant to help with the assessment and lab.
Will follow your journey.
Welcome! We have had grants from Hplus before, they have paused that program at the moment due to lack of funding I believe

@@rhfarmstables no thanks your & for what you all do & NO THANKS EVER NEEDED BUT YOUR ALWAYS WELCOME ❤️❤️❤️👏🏾👌🏾🙏🏾👍🏾🤟🏾
Those horses were grateful to have grass. Rarely do they just saunter in like they own the place. Most run the fence line trying to figure out where they are. That was one of the easiest rescues ever, lol?
Definitely one of the easiest!
Bless you and prayers for all 🙏🙏❤
Thank you for sharing.
Very good job. Nice horses.
She sure looks pregnant to me. They did load really good.
Great rescue all the way around. From the person saving them originally to then calling abd asking for help. Thank you for what you do. May I ask about the donkey? I feel sad that it looks like he will be alone now? Just curious
They kept 2 donkeys and another horse
The quarter horse looks like a mare we have at our stable!! Yes, I think your mustang may be pregnant!
So but I hate to see people who aren't wearing a seat belt , keep safe ! Best wishes from England UK 🇬🇧

Sound came on!
Yep the minute I saw her I said, ‘ she looks pregnant’.
Qué belleza, un placer ver tanta bomdad...
SO well done by these horses! Great job all around.
Thank you, truck has lap belts.
@@rhfarmstables Awesome! And again, great job with these horses!
These horses look great compared to some surrendered horses I've seen. They all got in the trailer.. the feet weren't that bad( long hooves) and I'd say you girls have some feeding to do and normal care..vacs worming, etc but I'd say that with a little time and work everyone will be ok!?
Watch the farrier video to see how the feet really were! Weight and training needed, but yes we've had some much much worse
Yes she does look pregnant because my mare is a buckskin and looked just like that good luck you are doing great great job God bless you
Thanks
Do NOT take your eyes off the road while you’re driving!
Great job I not wished I could rescue horses
So was that last horse the one that the third horse was throwing a fit about being separated from?
The bonds these animals have is comparable to the relationships humans have and to tear a "couple" apart is traumatizing beyond words for them.
Around 1:42 there is a smaller... Horse? Yes? If it was a young horse, was it related to any of the 4 you took?
That would be a donkey, and no the owner kept him and a few others.
