It never cesses to horrify me, that there are still people that treat their pets and live stock in ways of the people that lived 400 or more years ago, it is like they have not progressed as human beings and live with one foot in the past a life with no empathy no compassion.
So sweet. When I first saw her she reminded me of the color of a dove. Dove might be a good name since it also signifies freedom...and she's now free from her past.
I can not stand cruelty and neglect of animals. As a teenager, I once cursed a man who had beaten a 2 year old trotting filly at her first start. Terrified, she played up, and this man hit her with an iron bar. I cursed him with every ounce of my soul, and two weeks later, he fell out of a taxi, drunk, and died. No loss to the world but scared me, although I doubt I had anything to do with his death.Never have done it again, though. Hope is a good name, as that is what I am sure she now has. Thank you for saving her.
That sweet soul should be called Grace or Gracie since she seems to both have and be full of grace. She's definitely pregnant. Thankfully you saved her just in time.
From what I've seen, flexible tail and being all jiggly around it is not just a sign of pregnancy, it's a sign she is getting close to the labor, because her body is getting ready to safely pass the foal out of her body. I have a feeling you should get ready for the sound of little hoofs soon. :D The joy of saving mares from auctions, right? :D
Grrrr... I'm so unsettled. "Whisper" like the wind. Several cuts looks just like fencing wire. I cannot wait to see her Journey. Worried about the eye. Hope no abrasion on the eye & then the lip! I am so 😞 sorry for her. Kisses from Atlanta.
I appreciate you rescuing this gentle mare. She responds to your soft touch and visibly relaxes. I think she may have a little surprise in store for you in a few months. 😉. She is a treasure and that’s what I would name her-Treasure.
I would suspect she either has a corneal abrasion or a foreign body in her eye. That needs to be dealt with ASAP along with the tear on her lower lip, (tho that may be too late for sutures unless debrided.) She might be seven months pregnant or so, although the softening of her muscles in the buttocks usually means birth is imminent. The fact she is not bagging up is confusing the issue. She has nice basic conformation, though her withers are quite pronounced, which isn't normally a Quarter Horse characteristic. And what a super sweet temperament! I would guess she's been around the block a time or two. Once she is cleaned up, healed up and fed up she is going to be a little doll for someone. I can see her being a young girl's trail buddy or a steady schooling pony for youngsters. Such a lucky landing for her. Thank you for being there for her.
Poor little mare received some hard knocks she didn't deserve. You will work your magic with her. Vet care, farrier work, groceries, and grooming. She seems really sweet and rather pretty too. hmmm... I'd call her 'River'.
Yes, she keeps closing her eyes because she is thanking our Heavenly Father for answering her prayers to find a loving, caring home ! Bless you and your team for being earth angels ! I would love to see her named Faith !
Personally, if I were you I would name her Gracie. She seems like such a sweet kind mare, and grace is such a sweet name. I also have always just loved the name Gracie for a little grey mare. She is adorable! I hope everything goes well with her pregnancy and health etc. ❤❤
That mare definitely looks pregnant! If you had a stethoscope, you could listen for a fetal heartbeat. Hold your hands on her belly to feel for the foal kicking and moving. I'm so glad you rescued her! She's such a sweet, gentle mare!
She reminds me of a mare I bought when she was ten years old for $200. I kept her until her death from cancer at age 27 in 1995, and she is still with us as she is buried here on our farm. My mare's name was "Rebel" ... She taught my wife and both my son's how to ride ... So of course I like the name Rebel.
poor babe. she flinched when you moved your hat at about 6:39 ,i cannot imagine what shes gone through. my late aunt Jill would be absolutely in love with her, shes always been a sucker for greys and i know she would be begging and begging to my uncle to bring her home especially with how sweet and calm she is even though shes hurting. i think the name Jill, or Jilly would be perfect for this little mare, i cannot wait to see her grow and heal
That sweet baby girl. I’m a rescue mom and animal advocate and I’m so happy y’all got her. Such a brave girl to trust you and stand still so you could check her out and assess her injuries. It’s crazy how they just know who they can trust 💕💕
Poor girl has been through the ringer... hope she was not a big lick horse..they cut the tendons in the tail. Thank you for rescuing her ❤️ she need lots of TLC❤❤
Thank you for what you have done. You have saved a sweet soul! Beautiful names have been suggested but I like Willow......a graceful tree with the ability to grow and prosper despite unfavorable conditions💙
Nellie, I would name her that. And are you sure she is a QH?? Are you familiar with Saddlebreds? You could check to see if there are nicks in her tail where they cut the tendon so it has that weird flagging motion when they are ridden in shows. The other big fear you should have... Is she might have been given a nerve block for pain near her tail and spine to hide a really bad problem... That would also make her tail be noodle like. Or she has nerve damage. Get the vet asap
Does anyone see the tear stain down her face? I think she expected more of the same bad treatment from humans!!!😢. I'm so glad she got away from the previous abusers. I hope the new owners watch Fresian Horses to learn more about proper horse care. Nonetheless, this sweet horse is free from the past and happiness is now possible. I will never understand how people can be cruel to animals. If they treat animals that way, they will do the same to people. Thankyou for saving at least this sweet one. There are many more.😢❤
I think you may have a Two-fer there!! Sweet mare- so sad that she has obviously been through a lot, but thankful she found a soft landing with you guys! ❤
My heart is full....I have been watching non stop, videos of humans caring for and rescuing our brothers and sisters who need help. Thank you so much for caring. I am interested in following her and watching her transformation.. Namaste'
Thank goodness you saved her, and just in the knick of time I would think. This poor sweet perfect girl. I definitely think she’s pregnant and can you imagine how skinny she will be if she is in fact pregnant? The poor darlin. I think ‘MARY POPPINS’ should be her name. I love the Disney theme and other than her health, through obviously no fault of her own, she is perfect♥️
I'm a city person, I don't know much about horses, but wow is that a tolerant and patient horse!! Thank you for saving her. Dulce (Dool Say) means Sweet in Spanish, and that's my name nomination :]
With good feed and vitamin B over time and lots of walking exercise that horse is going to be beautiful. She looks like she doesn't feel well. Her eye looks infected and she might need teeth looked at. She will be really beautiful.
Name her "Jewels". She seems so so sweet and calm. Praying for all of you as you navigate getting her back to good health. She does appear to be preggos. Keep us posted! I feel so bad for her with that lip and other small wounds!
She looks exhausted and quite defeated, but thankful to just be standing there, hearing the birds sing and having you love on her. As a name, I suggest Grisella. It's Italian for "Little Grey One".
I'm sure the vet will confirm that she is very pregnant | She obviously is in need of food and even more since she will be eating for two | It would be nice to see videos of her vet checks, pregnancy updates, grooming & bathing sessions, her stall, hoof trims, feeding time, being social & playing with other horses, and last but never least getting lots of LOVE ❤🩹from her owner to help her heal. 🐎
Please do an update on that poor mare but you guys are going to have a sweet baby soon… will you guys rehome her to a forever home? She will make a nice riding horse for someone if you can resolve all her issues.. looking for her journey with you until she finds her new family. ❤❤❤❤
Very tough to see a dear one like this, past hurts neglected - and that big chunk out of her lip is terrible. Looking ahead for her next healing steps! Thank you for everything you do~
@@TheGypsyVanners That’s very true. My dear friend is named Chula, in fact, I named one of my fillies Chula. She was a beautiful light Palomino with the same sweet eyes as that sweet flea-bitten gray little girl.
I think Halo would be a good name for her because she is such a good girl, and Angel is overused. I hope she does well now that she has a loving home. ❤❤❤
She looks kind of like a Polly. Friendly, calm (so far). Definitely has had some hard times. Remember that some QH people "cut" the tail muscles if they're showing reining horses, to keep them from switching their tails...tails in QH country are not supposed to switch and they'll deaden them. Might affect adjacent muscles. If from pregnancy, could've had a hard birth,
She’s only 10. She looks older to me but I’m sure that’s only because she’s tired and beat up. Once she gets proper nutrition and a vet check she will look so much younger. I would name her Sadie!! ❤
She looks preggers to me. Thank you for rescuing her. She seems like a sweet one. If you're going to own a horse get them treated. That's a pretty big scar on her right hind leg that someone neglected to treat properly. Poor girl. She will get the care she needs and she has a baby coming. That's exciting even though you didn't want a baby. Hopefully she won't have too many things going on besides her eye and lip. 🤞Pearl would be a cute name for her.
What a lovely mare.! The name "Rita" came to my mind.! Rita comes from the Greek name Margarita.! And yes she reminds me of fields with white Margheritas.! 💚🩷💛

Call her Phoenix, after the mystical bird, because after her disaster of a start in life, she came to you and I know she will thrive and rise like a phoenix to become a beautiful mare, my wishes and hopes to you all.
This sweet mare has been treated roughly and neglected. So glad she has landed with you all. Her life is about to change - finally - for the better.
She won the lottery when you got her. I am endlessly shocked at these auctions😢
This wasn't even a bad one!
@@rhfarmstables the law needs changing.
Yes it does!

Her name could be Grace. It's a beautiful name and it's pure Grace that she has found her way to you! I'm so happy for her!
Agree, Grace 👍 beautiful name. Also like Hope 👍
Grace, the Gray Mare. It was Grace that brought her to you. Please make her happy and well. She is precious
So sweet. When I first saw her she reminded me of the color of a dove. Dove might be a good name since it also signifies freedom...and she's now free from her past.

She is! 🕊
Love this name for her! She just seems like a Dove.
I also like Dove 🕊 as a name.
Ive known two lovely women from the South whose actual for "real" names were "Dovie". Its a thing.

That sweet soul should be called Grace or Gracie since she seems to both have and be full of grace. She's definitely pregnant. Thankfully you saved her just in time.
I think she deserves that name to because she so Graceful in her nature .
A good name, our trainer's name is Grace!
So pleased you rescued her. She's amazingly calm and gentle. And in good hands.
I feel so bad for her to have gone through so much. I like the name Gracie. I'm sure that when she is feeling good her personality will shine through.
That’s a very nice name 😊❤️
Lovely and fitting name!
