I actually have my own odd theory as to why Coco and her family are pink. Maybe one of Coco's relatives (aunt/cousin/grandmother) either died of breast cancer or are a breast cancer survivor, and to honor their relative's brave battle, Coco's parents decided to dye themselves and their children pink.
It basically means you are pregnant with a child but you end up not having it (it’s kinda like an abortion except without the whole kill the baby thing)
I was told socks is supposed to represent an autistic child to be more inclusive. Muffin is seen helping socks with things like holding her ice cream so she can enjoy it too, including her in games and brainstorming ways she could be included into other games. She may act unusual but still just as important
Socks was 1 year old in the first season, likely having aged a year in subsequent seasons. Of course Muffin would want to help her baby sister. That has nothing to do with autism.
Bandit and Chilli along with Bingo was soo sad, Bingo never knew she did anything, other then messing up, and then the fact that Bandit and Chilli was so sad about there Miscarriage!

Yeah I’ve noticed that comes up a lot as well, especially with muffin. I don’t have any experience with autism so I can’t say for sure but it seems a lot of people do relate to them for that reason
Socks walking on all fours may be something dog children of her age do when they are trying to learn to walk. We see in "Baby Race" that the babies in "Bluey" learn to walk just like human babies. However, babies always try to find the easier way to do something, they go for the between of crawling and walking, which is walking on their fours like a real puppy. But she and Muffin being autistic children... I'm not seeing it. Autistic children have some behaviors those two don't appear to have: like aversion to physical contact, sensitivity to loud noises and repetitive behavior (like obsession for scheduales and patters).
The most compelling evidence about socks being special is that all of the other characters are shown as babies in “baby race” where they wear diapers and crawl like babies. Yet Socks is like a real dog
Speaking of Indys mum...why does she have her daughter on such a restrictive diet? Indy says she cant have a sausage because "chemicals" and she cant have pofferjies because they have gluten, sugar, and dairy. Bluey cant share her toffee apple with Indy because shes not allowed sugar. My personal feeling is Indy's mum is suffering from Orthorexia and is not allowing her daughter to eat anything she deems unsafe or unhealthy. Indy clearly is afraid of what may happen if she does and may have already internalized her mother's unhealthy beliefs about food.
Or maybe Indy’s family and mum by proxy want to enforce a clean diet with little to no highly processed foods as afghans are more prone to many diseases caused by poor dietary habits such as high sodium and grains found in most dog kibble/ food.

nah shes just crouncy and someone can be allergic to dairy, gluten, eggs, ex all at once. sometimes its the kid not the mom. my niece has an egg allergy (and dairy) so its hard finding food she can have and resisticts it
Funny thing is, Bob is confirmed to NOT be dead by the creators. Also, I'm pretty sure Coco and her family are meant to show typical cartoon poodle colors (after all, real life blue heelers are not literally blue, "blue" in dogs, cats, and horses is actually a shade of gray on their coats).
Also, here's one theory: Bingo is allergic to gluten (in one episode, Bandit sneaks in a "gluten-free" snack in a lunchbox and in another lunchbox, he sneaks in a "gluten NOT free" snack, and in "Bumpy and the Wise Old Wolfhound", Bingo is hospitalized for an unknown reason, so people think she might have suffered from reaction to gluten). Another theory, this time it's mine: Those drinks Bandit and Uncle Stripe are drinking in "BBQ"? That's not soda or juice, that's beer.

Bingo reminds me of myself a lot because I’m extremely sensitive and feel hurt pretty easily… It’s very relatable how she personalizes others’ opinions like when they laugh at her saying “trifficult”. She genuinely felt like they were laughing at her instead of just the silly made up word. Also when Bandit eats her last chip and they take all her dance modes. Poor thing. I feel her pain.
Not to be crass, but how can anyone possibly live life being so overwhelmingly sensitive? The word debilitating comes to mind as well as major inconvenience to a family that must cator to someone/something made by someone else's self insecurity. Seems it would be best to get that confidence and mindset out of such measures and that is based not just the environment lived in, but those injected into said person's life.
I do highly believe the Bob being dead theory, in the Season 3 episode called "Bedroom" Bingo says goodnight to distant family members (such as stripe and I'm assuming friends) and she even says "Goodnight Grandpa (or Grandad, I forgot) Bob, wherever you are" I'm assuming that he DID pass away and Bluey and Bingo aren't told it yet, he was brought up earlier in the episode (but it was something about a toy he gave Bluey because he forgot Chili was pregnant with Bingo)
My theory is that Bob has a job that forces him to be away from his family, similar to how Rad's job forces him to only be with his family during holydays like Christmas. Some say he works on the same oilrig as Rad, but I have theorized he possibly works at sea, like being a ship captain. That would explain why he is always abscent, Bingo's claim of not knowing where he is and why he doesn't facetime. Besides, it has been said that the reason why is not around is because he is missing those events, what further justifies my theory.
I love that there are episodes that are actually FOR adults. Kids love the show and there are parts for them but, specifically Bluey learning to walk and Chili being told she was a good mom, that episode was for the parents. The same can be said for when the girls and Chili's father ran all over the bush after he had heartworms and she told him she wasn't ready to loose him, and the one where the father's GPS dies and he takes a bush road to get him. Those episodes were parent-centered, while all episodes have a parent storyline (maybe not all) to keep us entertained while our littles enjoy the show those were for us. The fact this show does that is very special.
I think the theory that Chili had a miscarriage and the one that Grandpa Heeler has passed have the most traction. Mum and Dad did react to the balloon popping a little more seriously than expectable, and it was largely clear that Grandpa Bob appeared only once and had no interaction with anyone but Chris. Bluey, Bingo, and Bandit did in fact only address Nana and Grandpa went completely unmentioned. Maybe he passed a while ago and he and Nana Christine have such a special connection that it transcends death.
The way Chili reacted to the play when the balloon popped and Bingo's stomach deflated. It definitely looked like she was experiencing some sort of flashback, and the way Bingo just holds her hand with that same expression. It definitely would make sense, if Chili had a miscarriage.
New to Bluey because im not a mum but I heard good things so ive seen a few episodes. As someone who had 3 miscarriages I would agree with the chili theory... but I would like to possibly add that perhaps chili suffered a late term miscarriage or stillbirth. Im not sure how it works when u have kids and have miscarried but it wouldn't only be the pop that got me, just being visibly pregnant can get to me. The fact she was fine until the obvious tummy disappeared just shouts late term to me for some reason idk

In the first trimester it wouldn't even be apparent that a woman is pregnant so its hard to convey "pregnancy" visually without a obvious belly. Tbf I think it covers all pregnancy and infant loss in just a few intense seconds. The conversation bluey and bingo have could even mirror some insensitive things well meaning people might say to a mother who lost her baby.( "Its not your fault" "just try again" )
This one is dark and silly but IRL dog breeds only exist as a way for us to breed for specific traits in dogs for specific purposes in a reliable way. Two big dogs could have small puppies if you don’t know the lineage but if two dogs who are descendent from generations of large dogs have puppies they puppies will almost certainly grow up big too. We also (in western nations) have last names as a way of distinguishing lineage in a tradition originally based in someone’s job (smith, baker) relationships (Johnson, Carlson). Distinguishing features to distinguish then from other community members with the same first name (John Red vs John Green), or place of origin, but in Bluey all the dogs have their last names as just their breed, but don’t include the coloration in the name like we do in the real world. Bandit’s last name is Healer not “Blue Healer”. While the show is hesitant to depict the last names of more than one dog of the same breed, we still don’t see many of any notable “mixed” dog breeds. This would denote a society with a tradition of rigid racial categorization if not full on segregation, and the lack of dogs wil alternate last names and the infrequency of notable “mutts” (while socialization between different breeds of dogs seems perfectly acceptable) would also imply that not only did that way of life last for several generations in Bluey’s Australia, but stretched on until fairly recently. Obviously this wasn’t planned by the showrunners but it is a neat quirk of the role dog breeds play in society and culture and how they come about among dogs (not that breeding pure breeds for specific purposes is BAD just that if the dogs were picking mates themselves they wouldn’t care about breed. And among humans using race as a primary means to pick our friends and partners is frowned upon for obvious reasons)
@@shiptomyhouse not exactly. dogs can all breed with each other, they're the same species -- the different animals in peppa pig can't. and since it's a simple kids show, all relationships exist to be a mom and a dad (only outlier i can think of is the polar bear lesbians, but even then they're still parents), so all couples need to be able to reproduce.

There’s a theory that the house bluey lives in is inherited. It’s an old Queenslander home so it’s not all that common these days unless you either buy an old house or build a house with the intentions of it being a Queenslander and from what a real estate agent has said is that the house would be worth $4mil. Especially in that area in Brisbane (where bluey is based) it’d be expensive. Also, as an archeologist he gets paid a decent amount, almost $100k annually. Plus take into consideration he does fly a lot for work, he’d be making some good dollar bucks. Worth noting that the Heelers mention the importance of money, even if in small subjects eg when Stripe tells muffin the new car is expensive and to be careful with it, and she knows how bad it was when she *spoiler alert for season 3 so don’t read on if you haven’t seen it and don’t want anything to be ruined for you* accidentally drops Stripes phone off the balcony into the pool she knows that was wrong, or like when bandit tells bluey that she can’t just take dollar bucks without earning it and it tastes so much better when she does earn it (with the ice cream in the rag doll episode), there’s a lot of small examples that go unnoticed when they talk about money. Also yes I am obsessed with bluey. And I definitely think socks is going into the terrible 2’s stage but she’s learning. ANOTHER THING, the book where bingo picks out her duck cake is a real cook book thing from the 80’s I think it was? My mum has it, my daughter wants the duck cake (obviously) so I’m gunna go ahead and leave that one to mum lol. There clown cake that they talk about in the episode that they don’t show, is really creepy so imagining it when chilli supposedly messed it up would be even worse lol
My son will be three in a couple of months and is definitely running his own race where talking is concerned. He has a couple of words that are clear and more word approximations but is mostly quiet. I’ve been told that archeologists can make big bucks in Australia and I don’t think that either of them could get away with living above their normal pay grade. And I’ve heard that Bali is a cheap vacation place for Australians but I wouldn’t know as I’m American and raised in a blue color family.
i feel like the poodles being pink is just a fun thing to play on the idea that poodles are dyed for show/it makes them a little more recognizable as poodles. lots of cartoons tend to make poodles a little unrealistic, plus the entire family has show cuts from seemly birth. plus... well, they aren't REALLY the only unnatural coloured dogs. blue heelers aren't actually bright blue, kelpies are more brown in real life, and i've certainly never seen a dog that looks anything like uncle rad!
I was wondering what was going on with Uncle Rad's coloring! I haven't seen or even heard much about the Heeler breed beforehand, but knew they came in red and blue. So his coloration confused me, I wondered if it was supposed to represent Bandit having blue and red parents and Rad getting a mix, but then we see both grandparents are blue heelers. I'm guessing Uncle Rad just didn't have full coloration, like some blue merle's being only half colored and white in the behind.
That’d be cute but I love how the focus is a girl for once. I don’t find many good kids cartoons where the focus is female, or there’s a plentiful female cast. (Beside mlp.)
I honestly like the family how it is, I’d be pretty annoyed if they added a character, especially kids who have gotten attached to the main two characters Bluey and Bingo, then another sibling comes into the mix, I don’t think it would be appreciated, especially with families who can relate to the show that have two kids. That’s just my opinion.
It's nice having a show with barely any little boy characters and such a strong focus on girls childhood and sisterhood. Throwing in another child would def change the dynamic a lot. But who knows what they'll do. Bandits family makes me think all they shoot out is X's lmao, since his brother also only has 2 girls XD
I dont think Bob Heeler isnt dead YET, because you mentioned that the upcoming Wedding episode may focus on Radley and Fisky's possible wedding and that scenario may determine his living status since the entire Heeler family has to attended the wedding.
Actually, as it turns out, the image of Chili being pregnant is actually fanart that a news article stole by accident. But, there is still plenty of other proof besides the image which somehow makes the theory less heartbreaking. Since the kids are in the photo, this means they found out about the miscarriage in someway. For example, after revealing she’s pregnant, and then shortly after she loses her unborn child, she might tell them that she “isn’t having the baby anymore” or something that wouldn’t leave as much of an impact if they said the baby died. Hopefully, this was before the birth of Bluey OR Bingo since it would make the theory sadder since it would mean that the kids would know about it.
Grandpa Bob theory: This also plays into why the Heelers might have so much money: They come from an Oil Family. Bob isn't seen often because he works with Rad on the rig and sends the money back to his family.

Andocool XD For number 7 they were talking about vasectomies. Fido said it was “pretty quick” and “in and out” which is how people describe having vasectomies. When he said “ I even got to keep them” he was most likely referring to keeping his anatomy intact. Plus that episode came right before bedroom. In bedroom they clean out the old nursery which indicates that they are totally done having children. Than three episodes later in the episode born yesterday we see bandit get hit in the groin by a swing. The vasectomy theory is accurate.
While I don’t have theories I have a headcanon that Stripe and Trixie do couples counseling. There always seems to be a bit of disconnect between them. The closest we get to them having a sort of argument or a heated conversation was that bit in Faceytalk when Stripe says that Trixie handles all the parenting. That honestly could explain how they sort of lose control of Muffin sometimes. It’s not a bad thing for couples to get help, it’s just something seems a bit off with them. I’m close to have a Pepe Silvia Moment with these two cartoon dogs I know it!
Our little group of friends who watch Bluey have a couple of them. 1: I am 100% convinced that Frisky didn't get Chili's message about not needing a babysitter because Chili purposefully never sent it. She wanted to set up Frisky and Uncle Rad. 2: Either Chilli used to date Lucky's dad or Bandit, Chili, and Lucky's dad are in some sort of poly relationship. In stumpfest he says the line "the ladies can watch us get all sweaty right Chilli?" To which Chilli enthusiastically says you know it! Also in dance mode when Chilli is dancing across the street and Lucky's dad pokes his head out the window and yells "yeah shake it Chilli!" To which she proceeds to turn towards them and shimmy and shake like she's showing off her..... well you know.
Well given that its not uncommon for people to have friends with benefits an open relationship i think is whats likely here with bandit being ok with knowing his girl wants all kinds of things, im in the same boat with my fiance we have an open relationship and i have friends with benefits, the benefit to this that one doesn't have to worry about cheating, so long as one Knows what the other is doing (for example they communicate properly) its fine as both consent to such a thing so i think thats what it is instead of poly, if it was poly she wouldn't be married to bandit

For socks I think it's just because it's VERY normal for some kids to pretend to be dogs/cats/animals. My 2 year old constantly is "doggy [their name]" or "kitty [their name]" and I have to ask "can I get [their name]?" To get them to stop pretending to be whatever animal they wanna be.
I agree with this because I was always an animal kid. Like I would run around pretending to be a Jaguar, and I didn't want to wear clothes to bed because "cats don't wear clothes when they sleep"

One information for the Socks theory I found in the wiki is that when making Baby Race, the animators forgot to make the babies walk like puppies instead of making them walk like actual human babies. So that’s why the babies crawl and walk like humans instead of walking like dogs.
When you flashed the money onscreen I noticed something. It's hard to tell definitively with the animation design but it seems as if the five dollar note features the Queen as a Corgie. (a dog type which she is apparently very fond of)
The miscarriage one is one of those that make sense the most, even if you had one and moved on, it can still upset you to talk about it and while one person could react in a "bigger" way, one can react bad even without showing it, the smile disappearing and Bandit's sweet gesture set up a good scene for this idea and I wouldn't even be surprised if this topic get addressed for good, since the show did a good job with representation, I'd expect a good one even for a delicate topic like this. But the theory I'd like it got explored more, is the one about aunt Brandy: when Chilli talks with Bluey and says that "There is one thing aunt Brandy wants more than anything in this world, but she can't have it and there's not really anything anyone can do" and when Bluey asks why is that, the mother simply says: "It's not meant to be", while Brandy looks at Bingo running around after playing, with her paws extended like she wants to grab her and then she just rolls to look up the sky without smiling. I've read some theories that are a bit "stretched" like the: "Bingo is Brandy's daughter and Chilli adopted her" one, but I find interesting those about her being infertile and/or considered unfit to be a parent since, if it was only infertility, she could still adopt a pup, so there would be something one can do, but to say: "It wasn't meant to be" and that there is *nothing* that can be done about it like that sounds like there is something more (or they put the sentence in the really dramatic way).
That was my impression watching the balloon pop. The series hasn’t shied away from similar topics, with the episode Early Baby (I think that was the title). BTW got into the show in the last month because of my job at a group home/hospital for children with handicaps. The children just adore the show, and after a while I found myself watching along as well. It reminds me a lot of My Neighbor Totoro in the way it plays at the children’s level without talking down to them, and there are some gorgeously animated sequences.
The comparison to my neighbor Totoro is fantastic, the show has major studio ghibli vibes of being a show that just happens to be animated so all ages can enjoy it
I don’t think it’s a miscarriage at all. Bingo was highly emotional that day and was So worried she’d ruin the day. So when the balloon popped, it appeared to me that bandit and chili were just bracing for a meltdown

@SAU No those balls are not in a jar. Fido used the words “in and out” and “pretty quick.” This implies that he was awake during the procedure. Also neutering is done under general Anastasia to which Fido would have no memory and been asleep the whole time and dogs often stay at the vet overnight for that. So it was was likely not neutering.

I've only just got into this show a few days ago, and decided to check it out as I was looking for things for my three year old nephew to watch. (Definitely a cute show that I'll enjoy watching with him.) And the miscarriage theory has me interested, I haven't seen that episode yet, but it would make sense. I mean, my mom had a miscarriage before my sister was born, and she is very protective of me and my sister. In fact when I asked her about the miscarriage she stated that she blamed herself for what happened to the baby. What if the miscarriage was before Bluey, and the whole baby race episode was her wondering if she was being a good mom not only because Bluey was her first child, but because she sorta blames herself for what happened? Sort of like how my mom does, and when the poodle (Cocoa's mom? Still new to the series, sorry) said she was doing a great job, and she started crying was because it sorta made her feel better about what happened, and made her a bit more excited to be the best parent she could be for Bluey? (Sorry I just saw the video in my recommended saying Bluey might be the second child, and I just wanted to put this here. The show, Bluey is adorable and I want my nephew to watch it, I hope he enjoys it. )
I maintain that Chili and Lucky’s dad are having an affair. My theory comes from the episodes “Asparagus“ where Chili tackles him and he’s not really mad about it, and then the episode “Stumpfest“ where he says that the girls would like to see them (the guys) get all sweaty and Chili replies “that’s right Lucky’s dad“

Maybe Socks loves how their ancestors acted and wants to be like them, or just a kid playing pretend, a lot. Also with Indy's family, I think her mom being Poly or even in an Open relationship with her husband would be a great representation of more family dynamics. But hey, super close family friends is perfect too. Though if it is an affair, then again it's a rough family dynamic but is one that not many kids shows would touch with a 300 foot pole.

Yea #7 is definitely about being neutered. Unfortunately, in America, they censored this and Fido and Bandit are talking about removing canine teeth. And bandit mentioned "idk maybe one day I'd just like to bite someone" there are a few things censored between America and Australia. Just like the banned episode where bluey, bingo,and bandit simulate giving birth in a kiddie pool.
Someone from the UK said they had the teeth version as well. Someone else said it was due to it being deemed inappropriate. I still think they were initially talking about being neutered though. Atleast that's how i took it, and the teeth part was for the kids.

The miscarriage one, definitely. After another big video I watched I’m sure. However I don’t think the one about the criminals is true. There are many many episodes where bandit is trying to get to work. Like, more than 10 or 15. We don’t see chilli as much going to work, but I think she might be more of a home mum. I think the episodes where they are with the girls are set on weekends or in holidays when Chilli and Bandit get their breaks.❤

For theory number one, when chilli is doing work (the tradies episode), she is doing it from a computer, meaning she is not a security dog and likely the ceo of a company or something, which makes sense how she affords the home.

Idk if the all pink family is really supposed to be literally dyed for shows, they all have their different hues which is shown in multiple families by their mixed colors and markings. Probably just a visual way to always identify them easily to the little kid audience watching as from the same family. Chilli definitely had a miscarriage, animators don't just make coincidental mistakes like that. If they both were reacting to the possibility of Bingo getting upset by the balloon popping they wouldn't have animated Blueys dad reaching over to hold her mom's hand. They'd likely animate them raising their hands in anticipation to comfort her or to go to cover their mouths or something.
I don't think Socks is "Feral" in their universe, but perhaps has some form of a mental disability. When Bandit plays too rough with Bingo Chili asks her if she used "Her Big Girl Bark" as a different form of communication, I feel the same goes for Socks. It's also been seen in that same episode that Bingo curls up under their backyard Bench much like our real life dogs when they're upset, so perhaps it's just underdevelopment or that they may be on the autism spectrum? There's never really a mentioning of how different or peculiar interactions with Sock's is, but then again if we can clearly tell a child is very unique in our world we wouldn't rudely mention it so what do I know lol I really love Bluey though, it's taught me about Patience and trying to better understand children. I'm glad that my nephew, who is like a son to me also loves it.

I actually have my own odd theory as to why Coco and her family are pink.
Maybe one of Coco's relatives (aunt/cousin/grandmother) either died of breast cancer or are a breast cancer survivor, and to honor their relative's brave battle, Coco's parents decided to dye themselves and their children pink.

Muffin is seen helping socks with things like holding her ice cream so she can enjoy it too, including her in games and brainstorming ways she could be included into other games. Socks was 1 year old in the first season, likely having aged a year in subsequent seasons. Of course Muffin would want to help her baby sister. That has nothing to do with autism.

Yeah I’ve noticed that comes up a lot as well, especially with muffin. I don’t have any experience with autism so I can’t say for sure but it seems a lot of people do relate to them for that reason

Socks walking on all fours may be something dog children of her age do when they are trying to learn to walk. We see in "Baby Race" that the babies in "Bluey" learn to walk just like human babies. However, babies always try to find the easier way to do something, they go for the between of crawling and walking, which is walking on their fours like a real puppy. But she and Muffin being autistic children... I'm not seeing it. Autistic children have some behaviors those two don't appear to have: like aversion to physical contact, sensitivity to loud noises and repetitive behavior (like obsession for scheduales and patters).

Speaking of Indys mum...why does she have her daughter on such a restrictive diet? Indy says she cant have a sausage because "chemicals" and she cant have pofferjies because they have gluten, sugar, and dairy. Bluey cant share her toffee apple with Indy because shes not allowed sugar.
My personal feeling is Indy's mum is suffering from Orthorexia and is not allowing her daughter to eat anything she deems unsafe or unhealthy. Indy clearly is afraid of what may happen if she does and may have already internalized her mother's unhealthy beliefs about food.

Also, here's one theory: Bingo is allergic to gluten (in one episode, Bandit sneaks in a "gluten-free" snack in a lunchbox and in another lunchbox, he sneaks in a "gluten NOT free" snack, and in "Bumpy and the Wise Old Wolfhound", Bingo is hospitalized for an unknown reason, so people think she might have suffered from reaction to gluten).

Bingo reminds me of myself a lot because I’m extremely sensitive and feel hurt pretty easily… It’s very relatable how she personalizes others’ opinions like when they laugh at her saying “trifficult”. She genuinely felt like they were laughing at her instead of just the silly made up word. Also when Bandit eats her last chip and they take all her dance modes. Poor thing. I feel her pain.

Not to be crass, but how can anyone possibly live life being so overwhelmingly sensitive? The word debilitating comes to mind as well as major inconvenience to a family that must cator to someone/something made by someone else's self insecurity. Seems it would be best to get that confidence and mindset out of such measures and that is based not just the environment lived in, but those injected into said person's life.

I do highly believe the Bob being dead theory, in the Season 3 episode called "Bedroom" Bingo says goodnight to distant family members (such as stripe and I'm assuming friends) and she even says "Goodnight Grandpa (or Grandad, I forgot) Bob, wherever you are" I'm assuming that he DID pass away and Bluey and Bingo aren't told it yet, he was brought up earlier in the episode (but it was something about a toy he gave Bluey because he forgot Chili was pregnant with Bingo)

My theory is that Bob has a job that forces him to be away from his family, similar to how Rad's job forces him to only be with his family during holydays like Christmas. Some say he works on the same oilrig as Rad, but I have theorized he possibly works at sea, like being a ship captain. That would explain why he is always abscent, Bingo's claim of not knowing where he is and why he doesn't facetime. Besides, it has been said that the reason why is not around is because he is missing those events, what further justifies my theory.

It's amazing how this show clicks so well not just kids but with adults too. So few preschool shows do that nowadays
I love that there are episodes that are actually FOR adults. Kids love the show and there are parts for them but, specifically Bluey learning to walk and Chili being told she was a good mom, that episode was for the parents. The same can be said for when the girls and Chili's father ran all over the bush after he had heartworms and she told him she wasn't ready to loose him, and the one where the father's GPS dies and he takes a bush road to get him. Those episodes were parent-centered, while all episodes have a parent storyline (maybe not all) to keep us entertained while our littles enjoy the show those were for us. The fact this show does that is very special.
I think the theory that Chili had a miscarriage and the one that Grandpa Heeler has passed have the most traction. Mum and Dad did react to the balloon popping a little more seriously than expectable, and it was largely clear that Grandpa Bob appeared only once and had no interaction with anyone but Chris. Bluey, Bingo, and Bandit did in fact only address Nana and Grandpa went completely unmentioned. Maybe he passed a while ago and he and Nana Christine have such a special connection that it transcends death.
I think he passed after his introduction episode or was hospitalized and we just haven't seen much of him.
Nana is an emotional enabler who shows no discipline by any means. Lady needs to take charge, keep her rims on, and reevaluate her medicine treatment.
The way Chili reacted to the play when the balloon popped and Bingo's stomach deflated. It definitely looked like she was experiencing some sort of flashback, and the way Bingo just holds her hand with that same expression. It definitely would make sense, if Chili had a miscarriage.
New to Bluey because im not a mum but I heard good things so ive seen a few episodes. As someone who had 3 miscarriages I would agree with the chili theory... but I would like to possibly add that perhaps chili suffered a late term miscarriage or stillbirth.
Im not sure how it works when u have kids and have miscarried but it wouldn't only be the pop that got me, just being visibly pregnant can get to me. The fact she was fine until the obvious tummy disappeared just shouts late term to me for some reason idk

Tbf I think it covers all pregnancy and infant loss in just a few intense seconds. The conversation bluey and bingo have could even mirror some insensitive things well meaning people might say to a mother who lost her baby.( "Its not your fault" "just try again" )
This one is dark and silly but IRL dog breeds only exist as a way for us to breed for specific traits in dogs for specific purposes in a reliable way. Two big dogs could have small puppies if you don’t know the lineage but if two dogs who are descendent from generations of large dogs have puppies they puppies will almost certainly grow up big too. We also (in western nations) have last names as a way of distinguishing lineage in a tradition originally based in someone’s job (smith, baker) relationships (Johnson, Carlson). Distinguishing features to distinguish then from other community members with the same first name (John Red vs John Green), or place of origin, but in Bluey all the dogs have their last names as just their breed, but don’t include the coloration in the name like we do in the real world. Bandit’s last name is Healer not “Blue Healer”. While the show is hesitant to depict the last names of more than one dog of the same breed, we still don’t see many of any notable “mixed” dog breeds. This would denote a society with a tradition of rigid racial categorization if not full on segregation, and the lack of dogs wil alternate last names and the infrequency of notable “mutts” (while socialization between different breeds of dogs seems perfectly acceptable) would also imply that not only did that way of life last for several generations in Bluey’s Australia, but stretched on until fairly recently. Obviously this wasn’t planned by the showrunners but it is a neat quirk of the role dog breeds play in society and culture and how they come about among dogs (not that breeding pure breeds for specific purposes is BAD just that if the dogs were picking mates themselves they wouldn’t care about breed. And among humans using race as a primary means to pick our friends and partners is frowned upon for obvious reasons)

@@shiptomyhouse not exactly. dogs can all breed with each other, they're the same species -- the different animals in peppa pig can't. and since it's a simple kids show, all relationships exist to be a mom and a dad (only outlier i can think of is the polar bear lesbians, but even then they're still parents), so all couples need to be able to reproduce.

There’s a theory that the house bluey lives in is inherited. It’s an old Queenslander home so it’s not all that common these days unless you either buy an old house or build a house with the intentions of it being a Queenslander and from what a real estate agent has said is that the house would be worth $4mil. Especially in that area in Brisbane (where bluey is based) it’d be expensive. Also, as an archeologist he gets paid a decent amount, almost $100k annually. Plus take into consideration he does fly a lot for work, he’d be making some good dollar bucks. Worth noting that the Heelers mention the importance of money, even if in small subjects eg when Stripe tells muffin the new car is expensive and to be careful with it, and she knows how bad it was when she *spoiler alert for season 3 so don’t read on if you haven’t seen it and don’t want anything to be ruined for you* accidentally drops Stripes phone off the balcony into the pool she knows that was wrong, or like when bandit tells bluey that she can’t just take dollar bucks without earning it and it tastes so much better when she does earn it (with the ice cream in the rag doll episode), there’s a lot of small examples that go unnoticed when they talk about money.
Also yes I am obsessed with bluey. And I definitely think socks is going into the terrible 2’s stage but she’s learning.
ANOTHER THING, the book where bingo picks out her duck cake is a real cook book thing from the 80’s I think it was? My mum has it, my daughter wants the duck cake (obviously) so I’m gunna go ahead and leave that one to mum lol. There clown cake that they talk about in the episode that they don’t show, is really creepy so imagining it when chilli supposedly messed it up would be even worse lol

i feel like the poodles being pink is just a fun thing to play on the idea that poodles are dyed for show/it makes them a little more recognizable as poodles. lots of cartoons tend to make poodles a little unrealistic, plus the entire family has show cuts from seemly birth. plus... well, they aren't REALLY the only unnatural coloured dogs. blue heelers aren't actually bright blue, kelpies are more brown in real life, and i've certainly never seen a dog that looks anything like uncle rad!

I was wondering what was going on with Uncle Rad's coloring! I haven't seen or even heard much about the Heeler breed beforehand, but knew they came in red and blue. So his coloration confused me, I wondered if it was supposed to represent Bandit having blue and red parents and Rad getting a mix, but then we see both grandparents are blue heelers. I'm guessing Uncle Rad just didn't have full coloration, like some blue merle's being only half colored and white in the behind.
Personally, I would love to see Chili get pregnant with a boy and Bluey and Bingo get a baby brother. Not theory, just something I want 🥰

I honestly like the family how it is, I’d be pretty annoyed if they added a character, especially kids who have gotten attached to the main two characters Bluey and Bingo, then another sibling comes into the mix, I don’t think it would be appreciated, especially with families who can relate to the show that have two kids. That’s just my opinion.
It's nice having a show with barely any little boy characters and such a strong focus on girls childhood and sisterhood. Throwing in another child would def change the dynamic a lot. But who knows what they'll do.

Actually, as it turns out, the image of Chili being pregnant is actually fanart that a news article stole by accident.
But, there is still plenty of other proof besides the image which somehow makes the theory less heartbreaking. Since the kids are in the photo, this means they found out about the miscarriage in someway. For example, after revealing she’s pregnant, and then shortly after she loses her unborn child, she might tell them that she “isn’t having the baby anymore” or something that wouldn’t leave as much of an impact if they said the baby died.
Hopefully, this was before the birth of Bluey OR Bingo since it would make the theory sadder since it would mean that the kids would know about it.

For number 7 they were talking about vasectomies. Fido said it was “pretty quick” and “in and out” which is how people describe having vasectomies. When he said “ I even got to keep them” he was most likely referring to keeping his anatomy intact. Plus that episode came right before bedroom. In bedroom they clean out the old nursery which indicates that they are totally done having children. Than three episodes later in the episode born yesterday we see bandit get hit in the groin by a swing. The vasectomy theory is accurate.

While I don’t have theories I have a headcanon that Stripe and Trixie do couples counseling.
There always seems to be a bit of disconnect between them. The closest we get to them having a sort of argument or a heated conversation was that bit in Faceytalk when Stripe says that Trixie handles all the parenting. That honestly could explain how they sort of lose control of Muffin sometimes. It’s not a bad thing for couples to get help, it’s just something seems a bit off with them.

1: I am 100% convinced that Frisky didn't get Chili's message about not needing a babysitter because Chili purposefully never sent it. She wanted to set up Frisky and Uncle Rad.
2: Either Chilli used to date Lucky's dad or Bandit, Chili, and Lucky's dad are in some sort of poly relationship. In stumpfest he says the line "the ladies can watch us get all sweaty right Chilli?" To which Chilli enthusiastically says you know it! Also in dance mode when Chilli is dancing across the street and Lucky's dad pokes his head out the window and yells "yeah shake it Chilli!" To which she proceeds to turn towards them and shimmy and shake like she's showing off her..... well you know.

For socks I think it's just because it's VERY normal for some kids to pretend to be dogs/cats/animals.
My 2 year old constantly is "doggy [their name]" or "kitty [their name]" and I have to ask "can I get [their name]?" To get them to stop pretending to be whatever animal they wanna be.

One information for the Socks theory I found in the wiki is that when making Baby Race, the animators forgot to make the babies walk like puppies instead of making them walk like actual human babies. So that’s why the babies crawl and walk like humans instead of walking like dogs.

When you flashed the money onscreen I noticed something.
It's hard to tell definitively with the animation design but it seems as if the five dollar note features the Queen as a Corgie. (a dog type which she is apparently very fond of)
The miscarriage one is one of those that make sense the most, even if you had one and moved on, it can still upset you to talk about it and while one person could react in a "bigger" way, one can react bad even without showing it, the smile disappearing and Bandit's sweet gesture set up a good scene for this idea and I wouldn't even be surprised if this topic get addressed for good, since the show did a good job with representation, I'd expect a good one even for a delicate topic like this.
But the theory I'd like it got explored more, is the one about aunt Brandy: when Chilli talks with Bluey and says that "There is one thing aunt Brandy wants more than anything in this world, but she can't have it and there's not really anything anyone can do" and when Bluey asks why is that, the mother simply says: "It's not meant to be", while Brandy looks at Bingo running around after playing, with her paws extended like she wants to grab her and then she just rolls to look up the sky without smiling.
I've read some theories that are a bit "stretched" like the: "Bingo is Brandy's daughter and Chilli adopted her" one, but I find interesting those about her being infertile and/or considered unfit to be a parent since, if it was only infertility, she could still adopt a pup, so there would be something one can do, but to say: "It wasn't meant to be" and that there is *nothing* that can be done about it like that sounds like there is something more (or they put the sentence in the really dramatic way).
That was my impression watching the balloon pop. The series hasn’t shied away from similar topics, with the episode Early Baby (I think that was the title).
BTW got into the show in the last month because of my job at a group home/hospital for children with handicaps. The children just adore the show, and after a while I found myself watching along as well. It reminds me a lot of My Neighbor Totoro in the way it plays at the children’s level without talking down to them, and there are some gorgeously animated sequences.
The comparison to my neighbor Totoro is fantastic, the show has major studio ghibli vibes of being a show that just happens to be animated so all ages can enjoy it

No those balls are not in a jar. Fido used the words “in and out” and “pretty quick.” This implies that he was awake during the procedure. Also neutering is done under general Anastasia to which Fido would have no memory and been asleep the whole time and dogs often stay at the vet overnight for that. So it was was likely not neutering.

I've only just got into this show a few days ago, and decided to check it out as I was looking for things for my three year old nephew to watch. (Definitely a cute show that I'll enjoy watching with him.) And the miscarriage theory has me interested, I haven't seen that episode yet, but it would make sense. I mean, my mom had a miscarriage before my sister was born, and she is very protective of me and my sister. In fact when I asked her about the miscarriage she stated that she blamed herself for what happened to the baby. What if the miscarriage was before Bluey, and the whole baby race episode was her wondering if she was being a good mom not only because Bluey was her first child, but because she sorta blames herself for what happened? Sort of like how my mom does, and when the poodle (Cocoa's mom? Still new to the series, sorry) said she was doing a great job, and she started crying was because it sorta made her feel better about what happened, and made her a bit more excited to be the best parent she could be for Bluey? (Sorry I just saw the video in my recommended saying Bluey might be the second child, and I just wanted to put this here. The show, Bluey is adorable and I want my nephew to watch it, I hope he enjoys it. )

Also with Indy's family, I think her mom being Poly or even in an Open relationship with her husband would be a great representation of more family dynamics. But hey, super close family friends is perfect too. Though if it is an affair, then again it's a rough family dynamic but is one that not many kids shows would touch with a 300 foot pole.

Yea #7 is definitely about being neutered. Unfortunately, in America, they censored this and Fido and Bandit are talking about removing canine teeth. And bandit mentioned "idk maybe one day I'd just like to bite someone" there are a few things censored between America and Australia. the criminal of bandit and chilli is a big no-no, archaeologists get paid a lot more then some people think, and from saving up, they woul dhave a lot of money. (they could also have rented then brought the land when they were stable with money, won the lottery etc)

Idk if the all pink family is really supposed to be literally dyed for shows, they all have their different hues which is shown in multiple families by their mixed colors and markings. Probably just a visual way to always identify them easily to the little kid audience watching as from the same family.
Chilli definitely had a miscarriage, animators don't just make coincidental mistakes like that. If they both were reacting to the possibility of Bingo getting upset by the balloon popping they wouldn't have animated Blueys dad reaching over to hold her mom's hand. They'd likely animate them raising their hands in anticipation to comfort her or to go to cover their mouths or something.
I don't think Socks is "Feral" in their universe, but perhaps has some form of a mental disability.
When Bandit plays too rough with Bingo Chili asks her if she used "Her Big Girl Bark" as a different form of communication, I feel the same goes for Socks. It's also been seen in that same episode that Bingo curls up under their backyard Bench much like our real life dogs when they're upset, so perhaps it's just underdevelopment or that they may be on the autism spectrum?
There's never really a mentioning of how different or peculiar interactions with Sock's is, but then again if we can clearly tell a child is very unique in our world we wouldn't rudely mention it so what do I know lol
I really love Bluey though, it's taught me about Patience and trying to better understand children. I'm glad that my nephew, who is like a son to me also loves it.
