*This*. This is really really good info man - thank you very much for sharing! I have the exact same camera and as you are likely aware - I purchased your adapter. I was actually going to e-mail you re: how do I mount it? ( lol ) Now I know. Thanks!!
Hello good video!! , my questions are... That firefly camera records in slow camera at 250 fps?, and that eaglevision mount serves for my scope (hawke sidewinder 6.5-20x42) ??
Watched you twice out with Jessica, found this video extremely interesting. You just got a new subscriber. PS. I would encourage you to do a video on editing for 2 reasons: One, I doubt any subscriber would un-subscribe over one video (I know I would not do that). Two, you might pick up new subscribers who found you when searching for 'how to edit videos'
Will do. Already did a video about how to avoid the 10 common mistakes while filming with the scope. I added few editing tricks on that video, and I think more videos like that could be very helpful
Love the videos. Couple of questions: 1. This video is 1.5 years old. Still using the same or is there an update? 2. What Range Finder do you use or would recommend? 3. Sometimes I see range on the Scope Video. Is this added afterwards or does the video record it real-time? 4. What Scope do you use/recommend? I am currently trying to decide which Airgun to get. Would Like to get the Daystate Alpha Wolf with both 22 and 30 cal. However, I may just settle with the Brocock Commander XR .22 Magnum. Also looking at Athlon Optics Argos BTR GEN2 6-24x50 APLR2 FFP IR MOA Scope for the Brocock, not sure what I would get with Daystate. Thanks for all your wonderful work. Oh, not sure if I will ever get to South Florida to hunt Iguana with you, but just curious. Other than UA-cam, how are you paid for removing these Iguana, by each, weight, job, etc? Does it pay well enough for a job even without UA-cam?
Hi Frank, Here are the answer to your questions: 1. There's an update. I'm using now the OrionCam, a 3D printed scope cam that I developed. Check link to my online store on the video description. 2. I use a Sig Sauer Kilo 2200 BDX. I like these because they have ballistic calculation with them, so when I range I not just see the yards but also how many clicks I have to adjust. 3. I add the range on the video because some of my viewers are asking for it. 4. Here you don't want to listen to me, I'm a glass addict because I want the best video I can get. I have 2 scopes on the $3K range, you don't need that. The last gun I put together was my RTI Compact and I have to order a scope for the gun having here very expensive ones, but what I learn by doing that is the scope should match the gun, I had a very lightweight gun that it didn't make any sense to me to add a very heavy scope. I ended up ordering an Athlon Helos BTR Gen2 4-20x50 and I'm very happy with that scope, but again the scope world is huge and it will be very hard to recommend a single scope, it will depend on your setup, tell me what is your gun configuration and I can give you an idea with the scopes, because I love scopes more than guns :) On the subject for the guns, you are looking into some heavy heaters there. I don't think you can go wrong with any of those setups you are mentioning there, just take in consideration the length and weight of the gun if you are shooting on the bench or walking around, a long and heavy gun won't do well on my iguana hunting outings, a lot of walk! Look into the Athlon Helos BTR I mentioned above, I think it will be lighter than the Argos, but again, I got that because it was small but nice magnification range. When I go out hunting I don't charge for that, I do it for free to upload videos, I don't have a pest control company or anything like that, some people I see on UA-cam do charge or they have a company for this, I just started my 3D printed site and I offer there the same products I use on my videos! Hope I answered the questions and if there's anything else I can help let me know, who knows if your question can become a video!

I was all set to put down the $$$ for the Eaglevison GoPro setup until I found your video. The numbers are backward on the playback. Pellets that are flying to the R appear to be going left on the video. Mirror image. What setting am I missing. Help appreciated. Bert
Good evening, I bought a piece like this, but unfortunately the image on my scopecam sidechot didn't look good, it's not easy to leave the image the same as the video, as I did everything the same as the video, but it didn't work, if there is any other way what should I do, please show me, the part of the piece that fits into the scopcam to center it, it came thinner, so the piece was theoretically only centered by the screws, if you can, can you show another way of how the image can be the same as the one? from the video, show me
Hi, Thank you for this great video! I have a question: I have the same set-up as yours. I only have the following problem: Every time I focus my parralax, the image is clear when I look through the scope, but the images on the camera are blurred. When I then focus the parralax on the screen of the camera, the image is clear on the camera, but not when I look through the scope. Do you know what I can do about this? Kind regards, Dimitri
Hi Dimitri, You are correct but I'll show you a trick on how I do it. Basically the idea is to find the balance where the image on the camera is good and the image on your eye is acceptable to the point where you can see. With some scopes this work better than with others, also if your scope is FFP at low magnification you will get a blurry cross hair so this is what I do to find the best setting for a crisp cross hair. Set your scope to the max magnification minus one setting, this part is just to adjust the crosshair, then later I'll explain how to adjust the image, for example if your scope goes to 20 dial to 18, if it goes to max 25 dial to 20 you get the idea. Then aim to the sky or something neutral and using the diopter set the focus to the camera, as you noticed the best focus on the camera will give you crappy image on your eyes, you wont be able to see the crosshair, this is when now you need to find the balance. Start dialing back the diopter just a little at a time, your image on the cam will degrade a bit but the image on the eye will improve even more, the change on both is not linear, there is a sweet spot where you can achieve pretty good image on both the cam and the eye, after you find the right balance, if your scope is FFP, move the magnification up to the max and the focus will be even better, then check two steps down..... That at least is what I do. And as I said before, with some scopes I can have better focus than with other. After you do this sometimes the focus (parallax) goes out if sync a bit when you are aiming to a target, the previous procedure will give you a nice crosshair (and for that procedure you just used the diopter) but you might notice the image is not focused when you see it is focused on your eye, parallax, so after focusing for the eye perfectly the image I always move my parallax a bit forward until I see the image will start losing the focus. That almost always gives me a sharp image
@@OriOnTheIguanaHunter Dear Orion, Thank you for taking the time to answer my question in such detail. These are very useful tips and I'm going to get started with them. Thank you again! Regards, Dimitri

any idea how i can change firmware. I tried on their app, i tried ambrella EVK firmware, i tried to delete all files on sdCard and put V115 version but it doesn’t work. Thanks
Hello, I tried to buy the adaptor for the side shot from the link you provided but i won't allow me to buy it because it doesn't ship to my country ( Egypt). can i buy the file and print it on 3d printer?
Do you have any suggestions for an external monitor? Also, I have purchased everything seen in this video. I set it up and it works. But no matter how I adjust the mount by loosening the 4 small screws and adjusting I still have a dark side in my shot at between 12 o'clock and 3 o'clock. Any suggestions on how to fix that?
External monitor is on the video description. Dark shades might be due to scope not be clear all the way of the magnification range, try to record one or two notches away from the max magnification.
@@OriOnTheIguanaHunter I didn't have the same issue with my cellphone and the sideshot. Is it possibly an alignment issue? The scope is a 6-24x50. At 10x there is a small dark area in the upper right area. At 14x about 30% of the field is dark. At 20x the dark are takes up about 80% of the field of view.
I'm interested in the camera setup but I rather have it with my Android smart phone instead of the camera, do you sell it with the phone mount instead.
It really depends on the use you want to give to the footage, with the phone you are limited to the frame rates you can record. For the slow motions and the amount of videos I do the phone is not going to work for me, but again as I said, it might work for you, there's no one solution works for everyone...
I have this setup but my camera focused well on low magnification and when I move to higher magnification, the video goes smaller. I tested this on 8-32x56 SFP and 6-24x50 FFP. Please advise what I’m doing wrong? BTW. Great informative video
On high magnifications two things can happen, 1: the quality of the scope, not all scope will give you a clear image at maximum magnification so what you can see on your camera is the same you will see with your eyes, but it's really simple to test, shoot and notice if when you go at max magnification you see with your eyes a shade on the sides? If so then your scope, even when offers that max magnification is not going to be usable for filming at that range, good quality scopes are not going to do that, but cheap scopes will do. I noticed the Arken was doing that, check my video review for the Arken and you will see what I mean there. The second problem is that the camera is not centered, at high magnification you will need to be really centered to see the image, if the camera is just a bit to a side you might get those type of issues, to check if the image is centered, check the black space on the sides of the circle and see if you have the same space on both, right and left, if one is bigger than the other then your camera is not centered, you will need to tilt the camera to one of the sides to compensate, one way to do it is to add washers while you are attaching the screws...
@@josenormanj.gayoso8344 Hope you can fix it, but I'll be honest, it's pretty common not to be able to film at full magnification, just back one notch and test
I may be late with this question but does that action cam come with a wide angle lens? Because don’t they say you won’t get a great picture with a wide angle lens, that’s why eaglevision sells the separate lens?
Hello. I ordered your adapter and set it up exactly as this video described. Everything fit perfectly. When I slide the camera/mount up to the scope diopter, all I can see is the crosshairs inside a very small circle on the screen of camera. It does not come close to taking up the whole screen. Love the videos. Couple of questions:
Hi Frank,
Here are the answer to your questions:
I ended up ordering an Athlon Helos BTR Gen2 4-20x50 and I'm very happy with that scope, but again the scope world is huge and it will be very hard to recommend a single scope, it will depend on your setup, tell me what is your gun configuration and I can give you an idea with the scopes, because I love scopes more than guns :)
On the subject for the guns, you are looking into some heavy heaters there.

Hi,
Thank you for this great video!
I have a question:
I have the same set-up as yours.
I only have the following problem:
Every time I focus my parralax, the image is clear when I look through the scope, but the images on the camera are blurred.
When I then focus the parralax on the screen of the camera, the image is clear on the camera, but not when I look through the scope.
Do you know what I can do about this?
Kind regards,
Dimitri

Yes, the glass inside the scope cam plays a very important role on the quality of the image
At 20x the dark are takes up about 80% of the field of view.

do you have a video that shows how to program a fire fly?
Don't understand the question. The settings?
Have you tried the 750 mp @ 240fps on the setting
Yes but the image comes too noisy. 120fps is the best balance
👌😁 excelente video hermano Dios te bendiga

Great video!
Thanks my friend!
@@OriOnTheIguanaHunter
Thanks you so much for your quick response. Appreciated it very much.
@@josenormanj.gayoso8344 Hope you can fix it, but I'll be honest, it's pretty common not to be able to film at full magnification, just back one notch and test

Hola, he tratado un montón de formas de actualizar la cámara de la versión n a la v y no he podido actualizar, algún consejo de como lograrlo?
Gran video amigo, saludos.
