This has to be the best, most catchiest track thats ever been in a Sonic game. Ever since the first time I've heard it.. it's managed to beat out Mushroom Hill as my all-time favorite Sonic music. I can't put it into words easily it's just.. very catchy and reminds me of the 90's and Michael Jackson, and that sort of stuff.
I will ways love Genesis' sound till this day. 1. I love the 80's 2. It's a late 80's console with 80's sounds that still sounded great into the early to mid 90's.
Nope, Chameleon (Herbie Hancock). It's the classic I-IV progression adopted from it with an added bridge. Nothing structural similar to Thriller in the slightest.
There used to be this awesome electronic remix of this up on UA-cam, but it disappered, which is really a shame. Getting high and then listening to it on headphones was sweet.
My childhood just came flooding back. I can remember lazy Saturdays playing the day away with Sonic. I really was saddened that many Sonic 3 stages never made their way back to Sonic Mania.
fuck this level. So many places where some shit just jumps out at you and makes you lose all your rings, and those enemies disguised as spikes are just icing on the cake.
Call this song a little boy..because it has Michael Jackson's finger prints all over it. Jk jk just a joke I love Michael R.I.P thanks for all the great music.
Yes, that could be true, but still, I'm just saying who composed the song. I'm just a bit tired of everyone praising Michael Jackson for all the songs when he didn't do all of them. I mean, if you composed this song for S3 then everyone started praising me for it over and over, wouldn't that upset you? I'm not arguing with you by the way, just stating :)
I do love this track, but my enjoyment of it is mixed with a tinge of melancholy. It's as if the tune is saying 'Say goodbye to you're childhood, fucker. Enjoy old age and dying!' Doesn't stop me listening to it every once in a while though.

joão carlos Imo, I always thought this stage and music merged well taking place straight after Hydrocity as it compliments how chaotic and tense Hydrocity Zone was. Marble Garden Zone is alot more calm but still dangerous as you have to continue to stay on your toes. At the beginning of this stage, after literally being skyrocketed from Hydrocity Zone Act 2, as Sonic and Tails land I can imagine them both quickly catching their breath because of the events of their underwater venture.
This is disturbingly good.

At Dawn from SA1.
I Love ice cap but I almost love this level more
I dunno man, Mystic Cave Zone 2-player from Sonic 2 is pretty mysterious sounding.
It's different from any sonic track before it
This has the most unique instruments in the Genesis series if you ask me. The meowing melody and the "vroom" every 4th measure. Very one-of-a-kind!
Syncs PERFECTLY with thriller, it's crazy
