samsung refuse to bring so fragile stufff like they anounced with the "samsung flex S" 3 years ago for reason of to risky to be fast destroyed, why this will be wrong?

Add one more group to the list of whom it would be useful for! I'm a pediatric surgeon and this thing would be amazing in my field for looking at x-rays, charts, etc...
You should get a tablet tbh, even so you should be wary of sharing stuff like that onto a mobile device, it's all permissible as evidence in court. Advice from a fellow doctor.
Beware that there are reports on UA-cam about the screen breaking down soon after use and the back up service by Huawei on UA-cam because if you have trouble this is an expensive device. My wife's Samsung Fold 4 inner screen broke at two years ownership . She knows the fragility of folding phone and did not misuse it. Too expensive to repair , so she now uses the front screen only. Waste of money.
Why would you have patient’s x-rays and charts on your personal phone? I was a security engineer at a hospital we don’t allow that, part of the security agreement was no medical records or pictures on personal phones. Not seeing where spending $3000 for that would be wise. Most hospitals have tablets that should be issued for that sort of stuff.

Beautiful screens, hardly any creases, ability to get Google play apps, incredible innovation, thin (considering it has 3 screens) and SUPER FLAGSHIP cameras, the camera is better than my dads Xiaomi 14 ultra. I carefully compared the photos and my whole family agrees. Trust me, don't be fooled by the MP count...
I don't think it's worth more than 3k, but if it was, I'd say it's easily the best fold out. Only the price let's it down...

my random guess is the battery is helped by the device using Huawei's own OS. Ie an OS designed and adapted specifically for this device. Whereas each Android device has to deal with the generalisations of the Android OS (and thus would have a lot of energy wasting inefficiencies.)
No it's just basic physics, we see a screen 50% larger and think it must use 50% more battery, but the screen isn't what uses all the power, it everything combined, so a bigger screen makes far less difference that we might think, in the same way a double fold phone doesn't use much more than an old type single screen phone.

The app he used is the green app icon with a picture of luggage with an airplane in the middle. It has a Chinese title that translates to "easy to leave the country". That app is a virtual environment that has access to the Play store and can almost install/run anything. You can create shortcuts out of it to put on your desktop to run like any regular app. The app is preloaded when you buy the phone. I have been able to open another phone with the Play store on it and then click install to the virtual phone which shows up as "Android Android" in your devices list.
Yep, I agree wholeheartedly, here in the west, Apple, Samsung and Google have had a great monopoly on phone sales. They have procrastinated with their development and there isn't much difference between them now.
Hopefully the release of more competition on the flagship market kickstarts the innovation of these companies again, except for Apple, they'll just steal the ideas 10 years later and say it was their innovation all along....

It's an amazing peice of tech. Right now if you want that size screen and you travel. Take a phone and a tablet or use a normal foldable.
When they are at the 2k price then maybe a tri fold. However the final fold with the screen exposed is a no go for me. I never use cases and that edge would get worn.
Reviews in 6 months will be interesting.

for me is very useful as i check my drawings on my job, that's why I use folds for the last 5 years., I wait for it to drop the price or Huawei to bring it worldwide.
The Mate XT has 5G support so you can connect to 5G "towers" as well.
I don't travel and I already have two phones IDC I want this I'll use the full screen to the fullest on my breaks at work and at home

I am using Gsp +- ace (combine these two words, I don't know whether this word is allowed here). All work fine just like native apps under and within this app.
It's Huawei app gallery, it needs a app gallery client for it to work (HMS core) which will allow to open a 'Huawei id' account (email, phone#, country of residence) I've read there is a yt vid that demonstrates how to..

My guess was 37. 48 is awesome. I stopped buying Huawei after the Mate 20x (have 3 of them) and thought the lack of Google would be a pain. Now with workarounds I'm likely to go back. Still need to wait for the price to go down. Won't pay $5K. I may be waiting a while so might go through with the Vivo x fold 3 pro for 2025 as I have planned.
I just bought a used Huawei p50 pro. I followed youtube video only 10 mins I had google everything installed. Im using it in the US with tmobile.

It's at the beginning labelled as luxury. The "Ultimate design" is the luxury brand. The price tag is definitely not for everyone.
If you're young to the tech world. Yes, Huawei is a solid brand and its products are nothing gimmy. It's too good to threat the Apple and so a few years ago US did the "sanction" things.

I'm an architect and after 2 years of z fold 4 I can't go back to a normal phone. A trifold with a pen and I'm sold! I have no tablet and rarely use my laptop anymore, with a device like that I wouldn't even have a laptop, just a desk pc and that's all!

@@WATCHOCCUPATION101 the reason I'm afraid to move from Samsung to Honor (the Magic V3 looks amazing) is the fact that I use Samsung Notes as my primary work app. It's amazing for sketching, note taking, mood boarding, etc. The big thing for me is having this huge canvas to draw on. Being able to measure a whole apartment by myself with just my phone and a laser or going to a worksite without drawings and just using my phone to take notes on plans. Other than that I use standard stuff like Gmail, WhatsApp, the calendar. But it's awesome to have Gmail open, with the notes app on screen, a "floating" calculator and you can basically do 3 or 4 things at the same time without constantly changing apps! The productivity is amazing on these devices.

It has 5g support rest of the information seems correct. Just checked the price here inported it will run almost 6000 euros so yes it feels more like a tech demo like the origibal mate x and galaxy fold

Its Bi-Fold on Tri-Fold. It is a triple screen but it fold in 2 part not 3.

The tech in this phone is impressive and expensive. I'm hoping for a more "modest" two fold phone with a folded thickness =< that of regular phone-the fact that this tri-fold phone has thickness slightly greater than a regular phone makes it possible.

Cool to see, but I'm good with a normal single-hinge fold. Regular folds are plenty good for me. I have no desire for a 10" screen, I've always liked smaller tablets as it is. To me, its a case of the law of diminishing returns. Also that exposed, outward facing hinge just seems scary to me. One drop on that and it's over for that screen, right?
I know no one says it, but I always want a stylus for productivity.... I wonder if it has it and if there ever will be a carry case with stylus holder... prolly not.... but why there's not many others like me....
I'm just struggling to see why there would be any demand for a device that folds three times. It just doesn't functionally seem to provide any benefit other than an even bigger tablet in your pocket I guess. From a durability perspective this seems like it would be a nightmare long-term.

My only concern would be the foldable display on the exterior. Foldables already get damaged when their foldable screen is safely inside the fold. We'll see how it goes over the next few months.

What do you mean when you say that if you don't take usage of the screen in this fully unfolded state all of the time, its not worth it? When using it closed 10 % of the time, partically oppened 20 % of the time in the 70% of the time fully opened seems more realistic for a day to day use no? Would it not be worth it then? If we pretend for a moment that it is possible to buy it for 2800 USD, it makes sense to not only people tlwho comute a lot but also to professionals that give presentations or meet clients face to face to show whatever they are selling on a big screen. Also for anyone that does not want to purchase a laptop just to use office and email .

xiaomi surpassed apple in sales because of the button and other problems with the iphone 16 and of course selling new colors as if it were an improvement, in any case if you have a truly innovative idea people will buy it even if the price is high, without risk there is no reward - Sun Tzu or did Freddy Mercury say it?

Thank you as usual for your great and non-biased reviews that even included in a previous review the enemy of Android; the iPhone! 😂 I was an iPhone user for years until I switched to the Galaxy Fold 1.5 years ago, and I must say that I can never see myself going back to a non-foldable phone. With that being said, there are still some things that iOS does better than Android. However, they are not nearly enough to sway me away from OneUI and foldable phones.

OK why no one does the real test on these phones, especially foldables phones. How does it hold up in the bathroom while your taking a dump. Is it durable to with stand the fumes and if it falls off your leg does it still work.
It is not. Chinese excitement has gone low over the breakages. Durability and repairability is a big problem to these devices.

Elephant in the room here is hinge longevity, I've owned three samsung fordables and on every one, the hinge goes by the 18-24 month mark. Love the concept and it is the future but for me for now, I've gone back to a slab phone, s4 ultra - miss the screen real estate, just not the reliability.

What happens if the screen breaks/cracks?
The soft screen needs to fold inside with a regular glass screen on the outside like regular folds. He will have screen failure. It won't last a year. Major design flaw

Not having a mobile connection I don't think would be three 4% extra I think it could be more depending on how much struggles to find the connection But the other thing about phones nowadays and their batteries Is That they over optimize the battery and you have to unoptimize or unrestrict certain apps that you want to have a constant connection like email apps or instant messaging apps like WhatsApp that you're looking for live notifications from otherwise it'll kind of put those to sleep and help the battery but really it's not real just on a side note just letting you know most people Overlook that But it would be good to see with full on the same or more usage even Fold it or unfolded and then having it not on Wi-Fi But also making sure certain apps that you need open are not optimized Just some food for thought Thank you sir keep up the amazing work

@@PoloHungary don't believe the propaganda.If a well-known UA-camr says it, it will have some weight. For it to happen (hardware failure or bad intentional use?) and someone wants to make it viral should make you suspicious.

@@PoloHungary It's too early to break regardless if you have two folds of the screen. Folds in general need attention. My Samsung fold 4 mind you I haven't even changed the inner protective film that closes in a little over 2 years and I've heard of people who have changed up to 3 times.
Breaking the internal screen not in years but in days, can only happen from hardware failure OR (more likely) from misuse to get the name out that even though the triples are not as good as Huawei makes them out to be.
But they forget that Huawei has foldables on both sides: Huawei's Mate X ( and xs and xs2 ) and Mate X2-X3-X5.
That means he knows what he's doing because he's identified the weaknesses from both builds.
Of course I agree with the guarantee, because it is a very expensive device and you have to insure it.

Mate dont pull that out in London , phone snatching is rife! , Seen loads of videos about the screen messing up and the price dropping in China ! ....an expensive risk imo , I travel all over the world Crypto events and poker, even with my money I wouldn't risk it ...I.e it breaks and have to set up new phone ! ...thanks for your honest review , I was about to buy from ur website , but you changed my mind 👍
