Also DD had the famous tiger (The hermit of DD or Durgada Sanyasi) who was shot by the famous Kenneth Anderson (documented in his book Nine Maneaters and a Rouge). While this tiger roamed people would be scared to go to both temples. To continue to worship they found a place on the Tumkur-DD hills road famously known as 'Aarati Bande' which used to provide a direct view of the temples and devotees would worship shri narasimhadevaru from afar.

Yes Dobbspet or Dabaspete is a town near to Tumakuru on NH 4 highway going towards Bengaluru from Tumakuru in the memory of British Officer Richard Stewart Dobbs.
Between Tumkur district and the Arabian sea, there is the Western Ghats. Since water does not flow upstream it is impossible that one branch of the Jayamangali flows into the Arabian sea.
When we visit this Place, In that Dobbs Palace Our Forest Police were enjoying with drinks n non veg, that time British people were enjoying now our forest police were enjoying with music in loud speaker, drinks n non veg 😢

There is world of difference between the early Marathas and the later Marathas (who came after Peshwa Bajirao I). The later ones were no more than petty chieftains who were more interested in loot and tributes than Swarajya and it shows in their conduct and their loss of honour and effectiveness on the battle fields. When we say ‘Marathas are great', etc, we specifically mean the period from Chhatrapati Shivaji Raje to Peshwa Bajirao I, never the ones who came after the dead of Bajirao.
