- MCS (Amendment) ACT 2019 w.e.f. 9th March 2019.
Sec 154 B-1 (18) : Associate Members means husband, wife, father, mother, brother, sister, son, daughter, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, nephew, niece, a person duly admitted to Membership of a society on written consent recommendation of a Member to exercise his rights and duties with his written prior consent and whose name does not stand in the share certificate.
Member have rights to appoint "ASSOCIATE MEMBER" to exercise his rights & duties with duly filled Appendix 5 & Entrance Fee Rs. 100/-

Sir Thanks for the update. But one question, How an associate member (not a fulltime member) can become Committee member and becomes Bearer and signs all the legal papers of the Society like Share certificates of the members, Society Redevelopment legal papers (Development Agreement) etc..?

Sir, Are you a lawyer? What you are showing is ordinance issued by governor when sessions were not taking place. If Ordinance is issued by governor then its only valid for 6 months, isn't it? The ordinance has to get discussed and approved in the sessions and get approved as the law in both houses and then the bye-law also has to be modified accordingly, with a new revision. So while you have given this information, can you throw light in this regards, whether the changes are legally approved after this ordinance in 2019? Is there a new Bye-law issued? Are government agencies acting as per this ordinance yet or as per the original bye-laws? It will be good if you check and accordingly update this video or the audience. Otherwise societies are now taking this as reference to provide associate membership and allowing them to vote for major decisions on behalf of original member.

if the flat is in the joibt name of husband and wife. If the husband dies,will the flat automaticalky transfered in the name of wife,who is a associate member.
If husband and wife are joint owners and wife is MC member. SGM can be atteneded by both husband and wife or only wife who is MC member but second in share certificate.
