Thanks for the video. Just replaced mine. For shift knob, there is a hidden screw under the plastic piece. Just pop it out to reveal the screw before remove the knob.
I need some help with my tl. I went to turn it on and my radio / navigation screen wont turn on i can use the air and everything but nothing lights up on the radio so i can't see the temperature or anything. Also noticed that i can't lock my car with a fob or by pressing the button on the outside of the door. Fob does unlock doors but won't lock them. I already looked at the manual and did some research on forum's ive checked all fuses in engine bay , driver side, and passenger side, and everything it's good. , it's been raining alot, and im thinking the water has something to do with it. Any help will be highly appreciated . Great video BTW
Help!! Lol Thought for sure it was the module for me hence why I’m even watching this video. I’ve replaced battery and it worked good for 2-3 weeks but now battery is draining again. As long as I drive my car daily it starts just fine. Moment I don’t drive it for a couple days, it’s dead as door knob when I go to start it. However, I didn’t know about the diagnostic trick so I did that. But mine looks exactly like yours, everything is green minus the 3 that are grey. Except randomly after a minute or two on the screen, the MIC icon turned red on me. What does that mean exactly? I clicked on it and it showed me a screen with mic level but I couldn’t do anything with it. If that is mic for talking on phone through the car I don’t care about that because I don’t use it. But I’m curious would that still mean the module is bad or could that still be what’s draining my battery? I also scanned it for codes using OBD device and it wasn’t throwing out any codes so idk I just wanna make sure the module is actually my problem before I go taking my car apart
Everything stays green, however I’m convinced the HFL is my battery drain problem. Looking at one on ebay now that says it fits an 09-11 acura TL but it has A3 on it instead of A4 like yours. My Acura is an 09, will the A3 one work for my car?

BUT my Bluetooth works fine, can they still drain a battery??? Because I just don’t wanna buy a $200 new one if that’s NOT it you no🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ and I’d hate to do that work for it not to be the issue lol
My issue is why does it keep saying NO CONNECT. I bought another module just replaced it. It does connect and play but I’m still getting NO CONNECT once in awhile when playing music. The hidden menu shows it’s green and ok. I would never think Honda would have an annoying issue like this especially with something as important as Bluetooth in ur car. An engine light doesn’t bother me 😂 like this.
All Honda vehicles have known electrical issues. While they may me solid mechanically the little electrical gremlins are a PITA! We have had Honda cars going back to the 90s.
Its a bad module if thats what ypu are asking to buy. I personally wouldnt risk another used unit,but then again. The risk of using another used one is cheaper
Thanks a lot . My 2012 tl Bluetooth just stopped pairing with the phone . Assume it is the module . Checked with dealer who quoted 380 plus tax for part only . And this helped a lot as to how to swap . But before I order the part I will do the self diagnosing.
Valuable video 👏 followed exactly and got it just the sameway. Same issue with Shifter screw removal but couldn’t get the top off.

If it turns red when you diag it. Its either the module is going bad,fuse,or no communication.

Been a common issue on the TL platform.
My phone is going back and for connect and disconnect on Bluetooth as soon as I installed new map update.
Yea i have heard of things acting up after an update.
BUT EVERYTHING BLUETOOTH WORKS FINE SMH I JUST DON’T GET IT BUT EVERYTHING’S ELSE HAS BEEN CHECKED
