If you’re dealing with high-pressure pest activity indoors or outdoors, light up those infestations with Ignite SC. Ignite SC is a dual-action, concentrated insecticide containing two active ingredients: Bifenthrin and Imidacloprid. Bifenthrin is a synthetic pyrethroid that disrupts the nervous system of insects, and imidacloprid is a systemic neonicotinoid that works as an insect neurotoxin. When applied, pests can make contact with treated surfaces, or ingest the chemical by feeding off treated plants. Ignite SC can be used to control turf-infesting pests like armyworms, foliar-infesting pests like spider mites, soil-dwelling pests beetle grubs, and structural pests like cockroaches, flies, and spiders. One pint of Ignite SC will yield up to 40 gallons of finished solution, making this product more economical than other options.
Ignite SC is a suspended concentrate, so you only need to mix a small amount of product with water before application. This product can be mixed and applied with different application equipment, depending on the size of the treatment area. For indoor applications, use a handheld pump sprayer. For outdoor treatments in residential areas, use a handheld sprayer or a backpack sprayer. For larger properties with acreages of treatment, a spray rig can provide the volume and pressure needed to treat the space efficiently.
Before handling any pesticide product, put on your personal protective equipment, or PPE, to prevent direct contact with the chemical. Wear a long-sleeved shirt, long pants, closed-toe shoes, protective eyewear, a facial covering, and chemical-resistant gloves.
Ignite SC can be used to treat and control pest infestations that occur in turf, soil, ornamental plants, outside of any structures, and inside of structures limited to spot, crack and crevice applications.
To treat turf pests , apply Ignite SC at the labeled application rate of 0.4 - 1.65 fluid ounces per 1,000 square feet of treatment area. Your exact rate and application timing will vary based on the target pest. After application, the area should be irrigated with about half an inch of water within 24 hours of treatment. Do not mow the area until after irrigation. For heavy pest infestations, reapplications may be necessary. Make reapplications no more than once every 7 days.
To treat ornamental pests , Ignite SC may be applied as a foliar treatment, as a soil drench, or as a soil injection. As a foliar application, prepare a solution by mixing the labeled rate 6.7 - 21.3 fluid ounces of concentrate per 100 gallons of water. Your exact rate and application timing will vary based on the target pest. Spray to coat the leaves of desired plants. Be sure to wet both the top-facing sides and undersides of the leaves. For waxy leaf surfaces, we recommend you incorporate a surfactant to improve the solution’s ability to adhere to treated surfaces.
To treat pests outside of structures , Ignite SC may be applied to general surfaces, spots, cracks and crevices, and voids. Create a 0.068% to 0.135% solution by mixing 0.89 to 1.78 fluid ounces of concentrate with 1 gallon of water. Apply your solution with a sprayer, or it may also be applied with a paintbrush.
To treat pests indoors like cockroaches, silverfish, or bed bugs, treatments are limited to spots, cracks, and crevices. Like outdoor treatments, create a 0.068% to 0.135% solution by mixing 0.89 to 1.78 fluid ounces of concentrate with 1 gallon of water. Apply your solution with a handheld sprayer, or it may also be applied with a paintbrush.
