The ball throw tip is good The plank rule is you can have your feet more than a fist length away. For the sprint drag carry, practice running backwards, it works your calves and it’s what people usually go the slowest on. I scored a 1:15
Elbows out will wreck your shoulders; teach good form/ technique and build strength through full range of motion, don’t rely on “hacks” to just pass. A good Soldier is fit, physically and mentally tough. This doesn’t happen in a day. Take time, build your body and team. Stay strong!
I agree with you. I think he was being exaggerate with the elbows though. Elbows at 45 degrees is perfect. I think highers emphasize the close grip so much that it becomes tricep dominant. Which are much harder to do
Nothing wrong with using within-regs stuff on actual game-day to maximize. You should be able to PASS on min, but nothing wrong with alternating shoulders out and in to work different groups to get an extra +5 on game day trying to max out.

@@Motownsports89 that'd do it, lol. think my unit's next is in December. gonna be a pain in the ass, especially if they put me in the group inside the drill hall. did you know that, by regs, if the sprint drag carry is being done inside, the weight of the sled is to be doubled from 90 to 180? *_I didn't!_* that's more than 20 pounds over _my_ weight. worst part is I was actually feeling good right until I got to the end and turned back around, and I looked at the guy next to me. sure enough, 4 plates. then it started really hurting, lol.

@John Ramon did you see their feet in the video? What I meant is the graders fist. Which actually applies to boot width. Look at your fist width horizontal and your boots. Seems pretty similar eh?
In my opinion jumping doesn’t help. Have somebody to film you and work on your mechanics. Use your legs and help apply that power to the ground. And your feet cannot be no more than 12 inches apart in the regulation states.
Some of what u said is right and some may not be, because i seen multiple videos where it says: all you nody has to cross the line, and that you can't have your legs apart for the plank
The regulation says your foot only has to cross the line and your feet may be the width of the boot, not long ways. These are in the regulations. You can look them up.
Hey SFC we need you as our grader lol
I’ve done a bunch, I’m by the book 💪🏼
🤣🤣
And here I thought he was going to use Army sarcasm such as "do more pushups, goober!" But this was actually helpful!
Or just do more push ups

Accurate. Also lean forward a little bit on the plank will engage your shoulders more and help out.
lean forward a little bit?

I can already see all the SSG and SFC grades failing people for trying to use these tips because they didn’t read the regs
Feel free to educate me on what’s not in the regs on this video. I’m listening 👂
Check ATP 7-22.01, and 02.

I believe the point Ethan was making was *other* grading NCOs will fail soldiers because *they* haven't read the regs, sarnt.
Ah I see that side. Maybe I read wrong, my apologies.
You are a very helpful mentor and NCO keep up the great work!
So for the Plank, same as T Push ups, I was told that your feet can only go as far as the graders' foot width?
That is correct.
Width or length? Because if your feet are completely together, it’s already wider than the graders foot width
Foot width not length
You are allowed 12 inches
Took it last month, not sure if this was correct but I've heard it's fist now
man I'm glad I got out when the APFT was still the official pt test.
Bro didn’t even talk about the 2 mile run
What did you have in mind btw lol
I mean, the best things for the 2 mile are just to pace yourself, don't walk, and watch your posture.
Other than that, it's just cardio
2 mile run hack- run faster
I tried the T push ups and I had to argue with my grader about it. I had to do it by the default way.
I needed this! Been practicing before I go in!
Good luck

Hey Sfc can you step while doing the power throw to get some momentum
What tips can you give me on the 2 mile run? 🤔
According to SFC that grades our plank you feet have to be foot length apart
That’s wrong, can be together or the width of a foot.
Not if your grader has a tiny foot. I always end up with a tiny foot grader lol

You are right. But those graders are making their own rules. They are adding rules to the rules.
So useful, I have the acft on Thursday and I’m nervous cuz I’m not fit as I was in BCT😭😭
Get after it, set your standard then go up from there.

But the drill sergeants can make you go back for that or no count the number for that
2 mile run hack- run faster to improve time
Doesn’t the regulation say … Position feet no more than one boot-width apart… for the plank?
I just took mine and got a 507 😅 would have done better for the power throw if I had seen this prior
For the plank: You can only have your feet a boot width apart I thought?...
I can only get a go or no go. Permanent profile, the ultimate hack. I would do more but i won't get more points.
Permanent profile hack?! Not words I want to be associated with.

On the bottom of you jacket on the left what is that patch
Pretty sure its up to the graders boot witfth alart on the plank
Regulation states up to as wide as the width of boot or together.
Your feet can be no further apart than the width of the grader's fist

If you cross line you’ll get fault and two faults mean fail event
If only you could spread your feet farther apart more than a boots with for the plank
