- Here is how to fold down the seats on a Dodge grand Caravan. This is a very popular minivan, and if you have a Dodge grand Caravan I need to know how to fold and unfold the seats, this video shows you how to fold down the front stow and go seats on a Dodge grand Caravan, and it also shows you how to fall down the backseats on a Dodge grand Caravan. I hope this helps you get your stow n go seats folded and unfolded in your Dodge Grand Caracan minivan. The seats are called stow n go folding seats. The seats on a Chrysler Pacifica fold down the same way.

PRO TIP: Never try to do this from inside the van. Yesterday I was like "lets try this for fun 😃 pull this tab here and BAMMMMMM SON!" Seat bashed my face so hard I have a black eye 😆 😂

For years I've always know about the Stow and go Seats in the Dodge Caravans. Now I have witnessed how it works in the flesh lol. Amazing stuff. And thanks to the uploader for posting this video. I had a Freestar. The rear seats weren't stow and go, but they did flip the other way so you could sit out the back. Both features are great.

You are truly an angel. I have been trying to get the bench seat folded for about a hour or so in very humid 80 degrees weather. I couldn't keep my glasses on And it probably wouldn't help anyway, to read the instructions that I couldn't make heads or tails from. I have to be shown. I'm going to be doing the same thing with it! Did you find the storage big enough for the back? I'm hoping to fit in a rolled-up foam mattress in there along with some other small furniture.
@@Sparksy Yes. Quite roomy. We easily fit awkward objects, small tables & chests, rugs etc. Lots wide doors so easy to load and unload. Good luck.

Thanks. I made another video where I measure the inside of the van. It’s big enough for you to put a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood in with the seats folded down. Icheck my other video to see me measure all of the inside dimensions.

Is there a way to get that rear seat to lay flat, kinda like a mattress? I want to go visit my granddaughters but can't really afford a hotel AND gas, so I'm planning on 'camping' my one night on the road (plenty of campgrounds on my route). It would make it a lot easier if I could just sleep on that rear seat as opposed to buying an air mattress AND a pump to blow it up!

I leave the mats in place when I fold the middle seats. Just something to remember if your back seat is up recline them all the way back then with the back door open just pull strap that unlocks it from the floor tip it back and it will cover the well. Now you have the perfect lounge chair for a sunrise or sunset or just watching nature. Slide headrest out for footrest. Mine is a 2013

Quick question. Do the 2nd row seats recline and move forward or backward or do they just stay in one position?
The Dodge website says this. For additional comfort, second-row seats move forward and back and offer 100mm of seat travel. Second-row seatbacks recline up to 40 degrees, offering 13 different positions.

All of the newer ones have this built in. It’s a standard feature.

Hello there. I live in my 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan and I need to create an area to shower in; my thought is to remove one of the seats, or the back seat(s) to create a basin to stand or sit in for showers and creating a drainage hole in the basin/cargo hold. Any suggestions or ideas?
I bet that would be pretty easy to do behind the last row of seats. I don’t know exactly what’s under there, as I don’t on the van or have it to look at. I bet you could find a spot to put a drain hole.

I think so. It should be the same van with a little more or less fancy stuff on it.

My 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan has a metal bar in the middle of the two middle compartments. My middle seat is one seat two people wide with no split in the middle. I can't put the seats down into the compartment because of the metal bar, otherwise they would fit. In the comments I saw that you said this is for EVERY Grand Caravan, do why is mine different?
I don’t know what they did 14 years ago. Maybe they changed the design. On the new ones they work like the one in the video. It’s a 2019 or 2020 model that I rented.

I've got one the same way, the seat(s) can be removed but not fold away like the back seats do. DOH!!!

The Chrysler Pacifica is similar, but it's mechanisms are electric. More money, less muscles to operate!

The excellent engineering and design of Stow n Go was invented by a Foundational Black American. Brilliant.
It’s a great invention!! My Astro van had 95 pound seats that were a real pain to remove and replace. This is a much better setup.
