Tracy - I just put a piece of tape on the backside, and a piece of tape on font and pull them apart - 2 secs.

Tracy I have heard that if you clean your mat with a baby wipe it will rejuvenate the the mat and it will be like new.

To clean your mat just wipe it with a baby wipe. Make sure you get all the rubbish off with it and let it air dry

Wonder wipes are better than baby wipes, much stronger, and the smell doesn't make me heave. Also baby wipes can degrade late mx and silicone, that's why most crafters are moving away from them. My Matt's come clean easily with my wipes, most are nis several years old. I hope this helps
