To anyone coming to try this game for the first time, you have a double jump and the ability to run on walls. PLEASE USE THEM. You'll thank me later. If you're on controller and you dont have paddles, I'd HIGHLY suggest moving jump off of the face buttons and onto a bumper or something so you can look around while wallrunning and jumping. Oh and hipfire is king in this game. use it even at mid range. The movement in this game is incredible and not even hard to pull off really. Seriously, use your movement abilities
My suggestion for newbies is to use the right stick as jump, and the L1 as crouch if you don't have paddles. I've experimented a lot with different configs, and that feels the smoothest in terms of gameplay abilities and such.
Something to note is that, for the most part, you probably won’t even play better wall running all the time, and you may even play worse unless you’re really damn good, but my God is it so much more fun. I would do better playing a bit more grounded most games honestly, but where’s the fun in that!

It’s unusual seeing the two play-styles crossover like this… I’m used to Titanfall clips of wall running and sling-shotting, so seeing an Apex playstyle really shows how different the two franchises are.
When it comes to new players, the best tip I can give is that the movement works way better for you if you chain slides, hops, and wall runs together to preserve momentum.

the Flatline feels like it has no recoil because its recoil is actually sideways, or in a 'flatline' which is the reason it was named that and has been unfortunately lost in Apex
You did good for first time trying Ronin, he's literally the hardest titan to play besides maybe Scorch. His main weapon Leadwall is basically a giant shotgun and you have to be pretty close for it to be effective but sometimes get lucky snipes on pilots at decent range.
you should play more titanfall, this was great 👍👍👍 also DAMN your aim is really good, but you should use the movement to your advantage. you can double jump, wallrun, and if you have grapple, fly across the map basically. this is super good especially against titans, because they are pretty slow and have a big hitbox, you can just run circles around them. i think playing cover and switching where you peek from each time is probably the best way to kill a titan.
exactly how i see Apex players playing Titanfall, a little tip: try to keep moving as much as possible and not just on the ground (grapple hook or stim are the best for movement)
I'm a Destiny 2 player...the current problems with the servers and the game in general made me go to Titanfall 2. I finished the campaign on Hard, and then went onto multiplayer. It's an extremely different style of game. The movement takes some getting used to, you'll lose a lot of fights because of enemies running laps around you, the combat is *fast* ...you're alive and then you're dead and you don't even know what happened before the replay shows you. It's a really good game that deserves a LOT of attention to it's multiplayer.
Titanfall 2s campaign is remarkable. Hope you play it and enjoy it as so many of us veterans of this game have for years. This really is one of the most underrated shooters of all time.
Ah, what I wouldn’t give to feel fear when I see Titans again. FYI, it’s natural to feel overwhelmed, the Campaign will introduce you to every concept in the game stage by stage, it’s basically the best 8 hour tutorial ever!
Watching you with CAR makes me want to main it now for a while. Currently I main flatline. Good video man! I’m happy you enjoyed playing. I used to play apex a lot but quit after a while
@@feihnbuckland7011I don’t think he would be twice as good, or certainly not without a lot of practice. If you have good aim, the guy moving isn’t necessarily at an advantage unless they’re aim and movement is on point which takes a while and some may never fully get there. That being said, it’s far more fun, even if not as effective to kill someone while wall running than it is to sit on a building the whole game.
@@reel8453 @sixone93 the thing is yes he's incredible at aiming but in this game sitting still makes you easier to kill by a thousand percent. Being able to nail a pilot with hip fire while air strafing around the map makes you 1. 10x harder to hit and most importantly 2. Unpredictable. If I had died to this guy once or twice I'd know where he's sitting and he'd be gravity starred or holo pilotted etc and shut down. If he was flying around the map quickly I'd have a much lower chance of catching him and plus he'd find his targets quicker and earning more kills/score objectively multiplying the value to his team and his k/d ratio.
Ronin is a melee titan, with low health and high damage. You can block with the sword to get a bonus defence. The shockwave stuns titans so you can charge at them.
The key to having good movement is challenging yourself to get under 30 seconds on the gauntlet. This will help your mind focus on parkour and aiming simultaneously.
Ronin is meant to be use with a hit and run playstyle. Go in, do big damage, get out. I recommend beginning with a different titan. The spitfire, CAR, A-wall, and tone are very hated. Try to avoid them. Pilots can combat titans by climbing onto them to steal their batteries. The pilot gets an alert when you try this, so be careful.
The gun skill translates really well, but TF2 is all about movement. Slide hopping, wall running and keeping momentum. It sounds hard but if you watch Iniquity's movement guide you can get it in a couple of minutes. For Titans Frothy guides are amazing, also very short but they give all you need to know.
here's a few tips as a titanfall player: try to stay off the ground and instead fly around and bhop on buildings and such. Do not ADS. that is a death sentence in this game, i'm actually very surprised you managed to hold up without hipfiring. also make sure to utilize your abilities more as a titan, since they will make the difference between life and death in every fight. Your anti titan weapons are also very strong and should always be used every chance you have. and finally, auto titans are TERRIBLE, to any manually piloted titan, they are a free kill and to any pilot just a free titan or battery.
The alty is the only gun in the game to have a spread penalty to its ads so in that case it is a downgrade to ads and it has been funny to watch new apex players floundering with it
Your titan is the ronin based on melee attack and close range hit and run fighting style, he is hard to master. I recomand you to use the legion what is a minigun boy with easy mechanics and thick hp bare. Moreover try to keep air and wall run movement as much as possible to be unexpected, grappling hook is pretty op for that . (and noob friendly especialy for ones who struggle with parkour :)
There is recoil on the Flatline. It recoils in a flat line horizontally not vertical. The alternator same way recoiling opposite directions based off which barrel was fired from.
I remember during class someone said "TF2" I thought they were talking about Titanfall 2, but no I was wrong, they were talking about Team Fortress 2, I haven't heard of that game in that time. I was a little embarrassed, but I was lucky to know, love, and play this game. The people who didn't well I hope they play TItanFall too.
Here's some basic stuff: Campaign is GREAT to get hang of stuff, and the story made me cry even You can RODEO titans by jumping on their back, they have electric smoke to counter that but if done successfully you deal some damage and get a battery Ronin is a hit and run titan, he has a really big skill ceiling so I recommend you try a titan like tone, ion, legion
I've been a titanfall fan since the TF1 beta. TF2 is one of my all-time favorite games. From the fantastic gameplay to the gritty scifi aestetic, its a treat! I enjoy Apex, but it's no replacement
So awesome seeing an actual pro play TF|2!! Love this content an hope you play/upload more of this!! Ronin is probably the worst Titian to start off with in my opinion 😂😂
Excellent video. Hopefully he continues to evolve as a TF2 player. He's obviously got that pilot hit-scan thing down like a mofo. This game is just way more chaotic than APEX. Use them anti-titan weapons!
Hey man, if you reading this: Learn to wall run. Wall running will be faster to move around and possibly a fun way to kill and run with either shotgun, car, or any weapons.
The wall running and double jump can help you to ambush titans. If you are close enough, you can get on the top of them and do enough damage. Btw, be careful because a titan can destroy you like a cockroach with a single melee attack.
The thing i remembered once i started playing again was to ditch the reliance of ADS vs hipfiring. In apex you ADS all the time but the hipfire is so broken in TF2 that you can just hipfire any SMG and it'll do just fine from pretty reasonable ranges lol
Man you are good with short positional movement, good for close range encounters particularly when someone's chasing after you, a good technique that relies on aiming and timing. Although this movement style won't do for open air fights as well as being extremely vulnerable to titans, so you're gonna have to learn a few new tricks to help you engage in open air fast dog fights. The Campaign can help you with the basics. For titan combat you my friend have chosen the hardest Titan to master Ronin. I recommend starting with legion or scorch as they are big boys and are decently basic. Legion being gun so you only really have to worry about gun, and scorch where anything you do you'll do damage whether that's your enemy, yourself, or their morale your doing damage. Scorch is also the best auto Titan if you just want to play pilot
I‘m playing Titanfall 2 for 7 Years now, i have 1100 hours play time and I’m an pro. Sadly only with titans as a pilot not, because i only play Frontier defense. I know every titan very well.
You missed out on one hell of a time we had playing this game back in the day. I started on the pc now been playing on the ps4 when it first came out. But pc I love it
He might've had a better time with the titans if he picked Legion or Tone. Edit: but if you do want to play Ronin, literally just hold sword block, run away from tanky titans, and kill pilots. That's basically how you play Ronin
Not bad play, accuracy is on point, very aware of surroundings but by playing slow and on the ground your going to get shot at from above a lot. I can definitely see the apex experience lol
I would suggest choosing a more noob friendly titan like perhaps legion or tone, they are easy enough to learn. The one you chose is ronin, which is one of the most difficult to play good in. Overall, very good performance for a first timer

a little tip: try to keep moving as much as possible and not just on the ground (grapple hook or stim are the best for movement)
As someone who has been playing titanfall for 4 years, now is the best time for beginners. It was very difficult to play with 200 people online.

First time I've seen a Titan actively run away from it's pilot.
3:22 was a beautiful moment. For a second you could tell he was feeling it
Titanfall 2s campaign is remarkable.
Apex player + TitanFall2 Gameplay + Halo Music = Best Video 🔥🔥🔥
Watching you with CAR makes me want to main it now for a while. Currently I main flatline. Good video man! I’m happy you enjoyed playing. I used to play apex a lot but quit after a while
I love seeing apex players realizing the skill doesn't exactly move over
No wallrunning, no slide hopping, and probably no titan kills since this guy feeds on lvl 1 bloodhounds
I was gonna say you’re ground game is really solid. Just goes to show you don’t HAVE to be flying all over the place.
but if he was flying all over the place he'd be twice as good. twice again if he learns how to titan
Definitely not wrong
@@TheHeadincharge plus his opponents in the video are fuxking ass lmao that helps
Ronin is a melee titan, with low health and high damage. You can block with the sword to get a bonus defence. The shockwave stuns titans so you can charge at them.
This guy is the best Apex player I’ve seen playing Titan fall 2
The key to having good movement is challenging yourself to get under 30 seconds on the gauntlet. This will help your mind focus on parkour and aiming simultaneously.
Ronin is meant to be use with a hit and run playstyle. Go in, do big damage, get out. I recommend beginning with a different titan.
The spitfire, CAR, A-wall, and tone are very hated. Try to avoid them.
Pilots can combat titans by climbing onto them to steal their batteries. The pilot gets an alert when you try this, so be careful.
The flatline has his name because the bullets makes a flat line, a weapon with no recoil.
dude just started playing and is already a pro at TF
Ads is fine, just not on the smgs, they all have pinpoint accurate hipfire
@@heibk-2019 no.. the only guns ads is worthwhile on is the hemlok, g2, and the snipers.
6:50 you are officialy kicked out of the titanfall community
Ronin is by far the hardest Titan to use as a beginner. Should start off with Ion, Tone or Monarch instead.
After a long time of Titanfall 2, I played Apex for the first time and just thought
"We went from a masterpiece to this..." Uninstalled
Here's some basic stuff:
Campaign is GREAT to get hang of stuff, and the story made me cry even
You can RODEO titans by jumping on their back, they have electric smoke to counter that but if done successfully you deal some damage and get a battery
Ronin is a hit and run titan, he has a really big skill ceiling so I recommend you try a titan like tone, ion, legion
Nahhhhhh, scorch
The most map dependent titan with a major learning curve
The nostalgia i feel when hearing you ask "whats that? The fuck was that?
happy your uploading again!
I recommend playing the single player first. It teaches u a lot about the titans and their gameplay, and it's also a great time too
With his aim being really good he needs to try it on hard or master.
On master your movement matters much more then aiming. Everything will one shot you. I with movement tech still got killed moving over 100km/h
apex players when the flatline actually makes a flat line of bullets
The wall running and double jump can help you to ambush titans. If you are close enough, you can get on the top of them and do enough damage.
Btw, be careful because a titan can destroy you like a cockroach with a single melee attack.
The thing i remembered once i started playing again was to ditch the reliance of ADS vs hipfiring. In apex you ADS all the time but the hipfire is so broken in TF2 that you can just hipfire any SMG and it'll do just fine from pretty reasonable ranges lol
As a seasoned pilot and seasoned legend I welcome you to the frontier
Welcome to the jungle
More titan fall gameplay it’s the best game out there and it is awesome to see you playing it keep it up!
you were doing pretty good for playing grunt mode
I‘m playing Titanfall 2 for 7 Years now, i have 1100 hours play time and I’m an pro. Sadly only with titans as a pilot not, because i only play Frontier defense.
I know every titan very well.
You missed out on one hell of a time we had playing this game back in the day. I started on the pc now been playing on the ps4 when it first came out. But pc I love it
"Apex pro"
"Uses controller"
Actually the grandfather of apex legends is titanfall one. Titanfall 2 would be apex’s father
"It's like they know where I am" he says while camping
That intro was a W
More titanfall content pls, you have so much potential pilot 🙏 i need to see you unlock your movement brother
you are the most vertically anchored pilot ive ever seen
seeing anyone ADS in this game is qute tbh
The only apex creator I haven’t unsubbed to by now😕(besides kijannaplays)
Whats great is that this game runs really good on the Steamdeck and i really enjoy it as i do not want to sin my deck with a cod.
technically titanfall 1 is the grandfather to apex
bro picked up Ronin ( hardest titan to master ) as his first titan cuz big sword cool, I felt that
He might've had a better time with the titans if he picked Legion or Tone.
The real grandfather of apex legends is titanfall1
I would suggest choosing a more noob friendly titan like perhaps legion or tone, they are easy enough to learn.
The one you chose is ronin, which is one of the most difficult to play good in.
Overall, very good performance for a first timer
