Respawn aren't the villains. They saw Battle Royales popping off and capitalized on what would have been a Titanfall 3, but almost guarantee it's EA pushing Respawn to to continue shoveling money into their money printer to print more money.
I don't think respawns the one to blame they have much love for Titanfall to this day. 😭
Multiple games they have abandoned because of forcing the devs to be done with a game in a set time. Or just greedy in general and push so many micro transactions it's disgusting. Anthem is a huge example. Great game idea horrible time release window. Gave them like what 5 years to have the game finished but they needed minimum 2 more to get the game where the devs wanted it. Titanfall 2 was literally perfect
It was a shame it released between Cod and Battlefield at the time. Much like Little Simz, Kanye and Drake, the best pick was one with least notoriety.

Spoilers about the helmet at the end: For those wondering, if you were paying attention during the time travel section of the campaign, you would remember that BT uploaded some of his core code directly into Jack's helmet so that they would still be able to communicate while time-jumping. So the morse code coming from the helmet is likely the traces of BT left within it trying to reach out.

Till this day, there is almost nothing that hit me as hard as "Stand by for titanfall", "Protocol 3: Protect the pilot" and frekin BT's"Trust me"

It was a normal weapon in the first game. It took 2 sec to lock on against players, but i loved it. They kinda removed it in the second game.

One of my favourite scenes is when BT tells Sarah Briggs "Cooper is my pilot" when she tried to reassign BT.
I was thinking Cooper was gonna object but BT did it for us,that right there is when my bond with BT became unbreakable.

@@mylesbowker2763 Gameplay-wise, AW was the most revolutionary CoD at the moment. This CoD saved the franchise tbh... It's only downside were the loot boxes, or supplies- The only way to get your hands on the OP weapons was pure goodluck on supplies

1 being the boost jumping stuff the cod community didnt want it
2 paying out for kevin spacy 100% affected the game negatively
3 from what iv seen people who did play it were not happy with gameplay or game modes

Hands down CoD AW was my favorite cod fastest gameplay we got it was fresh and new especially for cod. If I had to complain it would be about the loot boxes but I literally didn't care about as that wasn't my focus. Just playing and enjoying the new experiance was all that mattered for me. Playing for fun as video games were intended.

This games campaign and multiplayer experience are second to none in my opinion. There will always be a place in my heart for that game. Really hope they do another one at some stage.

I remember Titanfall (1) coming out and people being absolutely stunned by it, and then 2 raised the bar. Those games deserve all the love and respect they get and if we're very lucky a third will eventually be made.
Yep my bro had a 70 inch in his room got the titanfall bundle I was hooked. Didn’t play any shooters since black ops 1 this game started my shooter addiction. Then came destiny, the division, and battlefield hardline.

the Time Travel mechanic could've been an entire game in and of itself, even without the shooting. It's one of the most novel mechanics I've seen added to a first person game since the portal gun.
Funny thing is, just two weeks after Titanfall 2 came out, Dishonored 2 released with a near identical mechanic for one level. Which honestly I find that game to be pretty underrated. I recall a lot of people just dismissing it as just the first game over again, but some really cool levels like that, and a lot of small improvements all add up to being the vastly superior game over its predecessor in my opinion.
The timeline shift mission is one of the most creative (and fun) pieces of content I’ve ever played. Amazing game.

Pilots are "The Angels of Motion". The movement in TF2 is phenomenal.

I loved playing pvp in tf2. The fact what EA did with it's launch, making it fail from the start.. just so they could buy outright respawn and then come out with apex, which is shallow in comparison......

That level with the instant time switching is one of my favorite missions of all the games ive ever played. In fact this game has 2 of my favorite of all time. The other being the one where there are prefab pieces of houses being moved around. Just felt really well done
Pretty much anyone who's played Titanfall 2 agrees, it's definitely one of the best FPS levels ever made. Incredibly fun mechanic, fun level design that really lets you take advantage of said mechanic, and it all blends with the base gameplay incredibly well. Also it's just really cool.

Half the destinations being gone make it worse
But it’s kinda a good thing too cuz the memories of being new will always be within those places
If I could just go to them whenever it will taint that memory which is exactly what happened when they added the cosmodrome back

that last "protocol 3: protect the pilot" I've played the already once, so when that scene kicked in, I didn't expect to shivers sent throughout my body. actual goosebumps brain down my shoulders. the music and va and story, really is so fucking good that I experienced that feeling again from my first playthrough again

What a game. I don't understand why EA dropped it, but its their loss. The movement in this game had the best movement system in any videogame I've ever played, bar none. It was easy, fluid, fast and fun.
Apex is the reason, it was meant to be an in universe project, but the success of Apex killed tf3
Destiny needs movement like this. They're almost there, but not as fluid.
The movement, be it in a Titan or not, had no equal indeed. However when I got to the pvp part, servers were hacked into oblivion and they stayed that way for months/years and I moved on
Also, the campaign alone is worth the money. It's so good! Best in years back then.

Im so glad to see more people playing Titan fall 2. I wish I could play it again for the first time it’s just that great of a story
The founders of Respawn were the same two people who made the COD franchise, original COD MW. In 2010 Infinity Ward own cofounders were escorted out of the building over a breach in contractor. Rumors at the time were these 2 were giving EA some inside information. So they formed Respawn and created Titanfall, it was a great game. COD then took the wall running idea from Titanfall. It wasn’t popular with COD fans. These 2 have been involved in some really good games and have a great story.
It is wild how this story has gotten twisted over time. They got fired because they wanted to make titanfall back in the day, activison convinced them to make mw2 first and then promised them they could make a new game. There was like a bunch of treacherous shit that went down including activision trying to get microsoft to break into their servers to look for evidence of wrongdoing so they could break their contract and not pay them out. I stopped buying activision games after the fallout of that story. Fuck activision now and forever.

TitanFall1 wasnt nearly as good as most shooter games during the time it came out so people didnt really get to know the beauty of TitanFall2 since people either didnt have high hope cuz of the first game, or bc cod and battlefield were so much more well known and had bigger fan bases.
To paraphrase Shammy's Honest Review of Titanfall: "Barring some kind of apocalypse that forces everyone indoors the Titanfall series is dead because of trying to force in multiplayer online game modes." That video came out before COVID and was quite prophetic.
Titanfall 2 is genuinely one of the greatest games ive ever played and game everyone should give a chance atleast once. So glad Cross got to experience it and share it with so many different people!
By far, it is one of the best campaigns of the last 20 years.

EA doesn't care about good games, they care about money. If a game is amazing, but doesn't have recurring income, they drop it. If a game, no matter how mid or uninspired, brings in money, they keep it.

@@readyforlol the game did well, but it had less mtx in it, investors didn't like that, large corporations always turn that way, its why small businesses are so important if you remove them or continually push them out with regulations that may not even favor the larger corpos the corpos can dance around and manage but the smaller companies cannot, which gives the corpos all the power.

Titanfall 2 is one of my favorite games of all time, it literally didn't miss in anything. Gunplay, parkour, the titans, the campaign, the multiplayer, the skills, the visuals, it nailed absolutely everything perfectly. The campaign is genuinly some of the most fun I've ever had, with its ending absolutely wrecking me emotionally.
I'm not much of a fan of multiplayer or PvP, but I absolutely loved Titanfall's, I even got to G3 IIRC. I've gotten used to playing a bit more multiplayer games, but none have clicked as well as Titanfall 2, and I still find myself launching it every once in a while.
And to think that all of that is built on top of the Source engine is absolutely mind blowing, I didn't even notice or knew it until I read about it some time ago.
Hands down my favorite FPS campaign ever, love that you're getting to experience it! I know there's some private servers keeping the multiplayer alive also if you want to check that out!

The “I will not lose another pilot.” At 23:45 always gets me no matter how many time i’ve played it.
I’ve played many hours of this game and everything about this game was amazing. It will always be my favorite FPS. You can tell both the community and devs really loved and cared for the game.
One the best single player experience i've played. Must have played it half a dozen times and it never gets old. Titanfall 1 multiplayer was epic. Simpler times.
Protocol 3: protect the pilot
The morse code at the end that spells "Jack" is 100% BT, if you remember during the time travel mission BT says "Cooper, I've transferred some of my programs (mind) to your helmet to maintain communication across time." Basically, a *copy* of BT is still in Jack's helmet.
Damn shame they never made a 3rd game. Stupid Apex Legends.
That or BT transferred his entire AI into Jack's helmet as he was throwing him at the end. So, maybe not just a copy, but BT himself.

I love Titanfall 2. I remember playing it for the first time on PS4 & was completely captivated with it. I feel every gamer should play through the campaign at least once if the like any FP type games. The movement is fluid & the guns feel solid.

The Helmet at the end that was flashing very fast, can actually be translated into morsecode.
And if so, you get these letters:
"J.A.C.K.?."
people theorised that this could be BT-7274, as he was still uploaded to his Helmet (kinda), and tried to reach out to Jack.
Would be a very cool continuation if we would have a campaign or sth after TF2, but unfortunatly EA canceled a Titanfall game recently to Focus on Apex Legends, cuz its a smaller risk, and guarantees money...

Very true. Though the cancelled game was confirmed to NOT be Titanfall 3 and just a expansion of the apex lore. Would have still been great to get more games on the Titanfall universe

Fun fact: EA actually wanted Titanfall 3. They bought Respawn for the sole purpose of making Titanfall 3. It was Respawn who decided to just stop Titanfall 3 development and make Apex instead, WITHOUT TELLING EA FOR MONTHS.
I literally got Coopers tattoo after 100% the games achievements. I didn’t even do it on purpose, I just played that much of both the campaign and the multiplayer.
Everything about this game was superb. From the handling of combat all the way to the feeling of movement. You can chain wall run into a slide into a double jump and it just looks and feels so clean.
Stopped playing destiny recently but still like you as a personality. Would love if you keep making vids like this so I keep having a reason to watch you ❤

This game is sooooooo underrated and Im glad u played it
I think there was a part earlier in the game where he copied himself into your helmet so that even in radio silence or areas where you couldn't communicate, he could still help. I think that flashing at the end was that fragment that he copied still being in your helmet. Such a great game, I seriously think it's a must play for anyone that liked FPS campaigns.
I know your probably not going to keep playing this; but a few things to note: when your running scorch use his kit a lot more, it’s meant for cc and dot. The flame shield mixed with a well placed thermite trap and flame wall will absolutely MELT anything in your way. Be more aggressive in general, especially with ronin’s kit. Play the partial wall like you would if you had citinz ramparts. NEVER let an enemy on your side. So on that note, use an electric smoke mixed with a well timed melee to literally THROW the enemy back. Your locking missiles are your damage dealer mixed with your tracker cannon. Never shoot your tracker cannon missiles at the same time every time, space them out randomly so enemies cannot counter them. Your range should be mid

The was the only PvP experience I truely enjoyed. Enough variety in weapons to match your play type. TTK was great, and wreaking havoc with your titan was oh so sweet!

My brother loves this game. So I'm obligated to inform you cross. They didn't let it die. They fucked off into other titles like Anthem and Apex, and someone did not take kindly to that. It's quite the story. I'm surprised it just went into the ether like that.

Simmulacrums, like Ash and Revanant have their consciousness in a database, whenever they die, their consciousness is just uploaded into a new body with all previous memories. So Ash in Apex is the same "person" just in a different body.

As someone who played the hell outta Titanfall for years it’s kinda painful to watch Cross not use the Titan kits properly. But nonetheless it was fun getting to see someone new to franchise experience it. I’m sure I was like that at the start as well. Loved the vid Cross ❤!
Titanfall 2s campaign and multiplayer was so fun how you talk about Halo 3 glory days is how i talk about Titanfall 2 it was just so good man and its one of the few games i got to 100 percent

Titan falls movement tech and gunplay paved the way for one of the most unique and popular hero shooter/battle royales since Fortnite in my opinion of course. The legends are like guardians, they have abilities and supers. But what sets apex apart is the movement. I remember staying up all night playing knowing I have work.
Played this at its peak and online was incredible. It was Titanfall that I met my first Destiny fireteam as we played online matches and talked about this new game Destiny coming out...
Man, everything about this game is honestly the best its ever been, not to mention how, to my knowledge, its the last AAA fps to do acomplishment-based skins, the way Black ops 2 and the original modern warfare games did it.
The fact Respawn devs are clearly still passionate about these games and EA is forcing them to just keep monetizing Apex Legends instead of developing another Titanfall is a gaming crime. Sadly even a successful solo Titanfall sequel won’t make a fraction of what Apex does as a live service game every year. Watching this makes me nostalgic and sad for what we won’t have.
while they still are 100% passionate about Titanfall, its a misconception they are being forced into Apex, its just that respawn is ALSO passionate about Apex, just as much as Titanfall, and updating an existing game is A LOT easier then making a new one

True the devs are equally passionate about Apex but they’ve pitched and had separate teams working on a potential Titanfall 3 that got cancelled and when that failed they also tried a potential Apex single player game that EA also shuttered along with firing people to save money right around the time Apex Legends was in a slump. While not specific to EA their profit driven business model stifles a lot of their studios.
Perfect shooting mechanics, perfect movement, perfect maps, the aesthetic is kind of solar punk and I love it. The pilot designs are some of the coolest futuristic soldier designs ever. I’d say they’re on par with ODST’s in terms of how iconic they’ll become. If they just remade titanfall 2 with all the apex weapons it would be enough for me. There’s so much potential with the series

I wish there was a protocol to protect the titan in return, I miss BT (but thankfully he's actually still alive based on the end credits where coopers helmet begins blinking showing code and the message stating "Jack?" If I remember correctly that is how the message went)
I also miss this franchise, loved it to death even when I played titanfall 1.
I hope some day they revive the titanfall franchise and leave Apex legends in the dust cause titanfall was just so much better.
I was genuinely excited to see your reaction cross this is for me the greatest campaign in a shooter. The relationship between BT and the jack is what makes it so great! The multiplayer was so great too, imagine as a film 😳.
