can't say i agree with what you said near the end. over the past few days i've seen a bunch of DQs for extremely subjective reasons on maps that aren't below ranking standards, such as "wrong spacing emphasis" and "awkward flow", even though some of these styles did these on purpose as it fit better and made the map more consistent within itself (biggest case here would be oddloop). there's still a lot of unnecessary DQs going on, but it's nowhere as near 2010-11 where BATs would DQ maps for "not liking them" (e.g. jerrysr's Evans or lesjuh's Freestyler).
The timing of the upload is unremarkable. Right now there's a QAT talking to me because one of my beatmaps has rankability issues and is on the verge of Disqualification. Props to you pishi.
Okay so; the QAT used to check over BNs because they became an open group. Now, they act based on community decisions. The BNG is discontinuing testing, and is going back to a closed cherrypicked system. Why does the QAT even still exist?
You learn after a while, and hopefully you pick up on techniques other mappers use. I've never properly finished a map before, but I've learned a lot through trial and error, and through getting better at the game itself.
what that guy said, my general advice would be is to make slider shapes consistent and simple. dont go over 3 points and if you do stick to a simple wave slider or something. also, copy and pasting slider shapes often is a nice way to keep a clean aesthetic. but other than that just map more
Do QAT and BNs function together as a team because you guys have your own discord where you communicate about all the maps and stuff, or you just use osu messaging system? I have always wondered about this 🤔
The DQ squad needs to hit up all the old beatmaps too. There are hundreds, thousands, maybe tens of thousands of godawful old maps that are just borderline unplayable without memorizing the map. It's a horrible experience for new players to come in, search for beatmaps, download a map from 2010, and wtf is this, it's clearly unrankable, it's got 150 circles that you can't even read even with a modded skin and experience 2-3 stars above the difficulty. How many people just want to quit the game after repeated experiences like that?
Seriously osu mapping is like a plot of a fucking anime holy shit
Everything is like a plot of an anime if you know how to narrate it, trust me :D
does anime usually have a good or bad plot

unnecessary DQ:s can still happen based on the subjective side of the community but it is less supported in the newer system.
stfu draglue bragon
but you can't say all are unnecesarry ;) (harumachi clover)

H E L L O T H E R E
That's some constructive comment right here :o
What I really don't like is when literally no one is playing these maps, that you've made, probably because the background isn't an anime pic.

qat does more than handle disqualifications
I always feel like this series is coming to an end but I'm sure there is alot more about mapping than I'm even aware about.
watching at 420 views btw
I liek to map
but i suck
but i dun actually care
because i suck at everything

I don't really use techniques other mappers use
i just do whatever i want rly lol
yeah same
Goodbye here!
goodhi beer
What's the map at 12:13? Can't find it in the description, is it a still unsubmitted pishifat map or something?
yeah, what you saw was almost the entire map
oh
more relevant than ever
Hey pishifat, do you plan on making a video on storyboarding?
Where can I find the documentation about disqualification reasons? I'm thoroughly interested.
in the description now. just know that it's not up to date information lol
Thank you, I hope it help me avoid errors when mapping, and make better maps overall. Not that I care about ranking my stuff
I want another video on aesthetics, structure and consistency :3 bc im bad at it
just map more

when you said dq meaning disqualified i thought of dairy queen

Actually great teacher what the heck.
"BN PTSD." oh noooooooo
quality assurance? i think assure wouldn't be fitting
Nice vid
Did you voice the osu tutorial?
Yes, he did
have they fix the bug for pen and tablets
Hmm i think that you guys are a bit underestimating BN's, as if they don't exist and maps automatically enter qualified state
Can you link the spreadsheet on dq reasons or is it irrelevant for the current time
How many dq reasons does monstrata have?
S C R E W G A R V E N
QAT
more
like quantity assurance lol
is mental damage worth the trouble of justa mere mapping?
yes
a.k.a pishi defending the QAT
Hello there, who is the person you are always writing to in osu! ?
Deetz
I wish we kept the older way of modding. Even if it was seen as strict, as you've said, it teaches new mappers the way of mapping.

simple, don't download 2010 maps or just learn to play old maps.
