I left england to live with her in france, i play mediocre guitar but here no one cares about anything else than ac dc guns and roses metallicrap,,,, and the few who are into this kind of stuff are snobs and have nothing to offer, and the so called 2 punk bands are not awful enough for comedy value and do "punk by numbers" as a mate used to describe the tried and tested sound tempo pose well you see. and so i'm depressed and i started to fucking drink. (who knows "adventure time"? quote from the lowest ever depressed guy: MY LIFE IS A FART"

Just got a message from Smog Veil today (2nd Sep, 2014) saying the box set is COMING!!!! Seems they just keep getting access to more stuff. Had my mind blown in 1997 when Chris Heazelwood (King Loser - check 'em, you'll most prob dig them) played me the 'Take the guitar player' CD... amazing stuff. Love that he is finally getting his due.

thats a great thing to be a part of. goes to show you talent and success are two very different things in the music business. peter is great, how did he manage to die so young? at 24 years old to die like that is hard to fathom. you should have put him in a cage and kept him from having all of his thrills...just kidding, may he rest in peace and i honor you for being a part of it

Almost 58 now...caught the apex of NYC punk rock in 1977...familiar w/most of the New York characters but really just getting into this wonderful Cleveland scene...thanks again, Don for this wonderful, ethereal music!!

I think they're still working on the project, though I haven't been in touch for a few years, when we spents hundreds of emails on the liner notes for Ann Arbor Tapes. Assume it will happen one day. BTW, did you get a copy of the tape 1969 of our high school band, Mr. Charlie? Beautiful quality reel-to-reel, stereo, with covers of waiting for the man, ferryboat bill, and etc.

Ann Arbor is my hometown, it's like a distant memory coming up on being lost in the ether.
