I remember doing this on BST as well. Those were amazing times, starting out at Bastok and working through the story to get here. I still remember my hume F with the short buzzcut hair I made, and after leveling BST I convinced a few others to try BST. 40 here, BST forever.
turned 43 a week ago.... wife and two kids now bbut when i hear this all of a sudden im back in my early 20s camping/farming NMs with my linkshell. good friends good times.
When I first played back in 2003 or so, I started out as BLM. A few years go I played in Nasomi, and started to level BST. This was my spot to hangout. While under appreciated at times, BST had many functions that helped with farming in Sky. BST and BLM have been my favorite jobs to play in this game. I'm 40 years old, and crave to play this game everyday still.
Brings me back to those days as well, Im 40 now and miss camping with Prestige from Hades server, all the Gods and that shit lol those were the days in my early 20s as well
so many good memories of playing ff11 way back on ps 2 when the level cap was 75 before chains of promathia came out. sky was the ultimate zone to get to
Oh man..i miss FF11. These were good times! None of this stupid que up for dungeons, people flooding world chat with inappropriate topics or going from lv.1-20 in 2hrs. This grind was real! The soundtrack (specially raunfaur..) will always have a special place in my heart
I wish they'd remaster this game as a standalone single player game per episodes. I would love to re-live the challenges of Promathia and Zilart. I miss this.
My memories of Sky were, for the most part dreadful and anxious as I was a monk determined to hard-gear for Ballista, and I knew the gods that resided there held those pieces so fundamental to my reinforcement. And yet, amidst it all, even I can still remember those very first few steps on the white marbled flooring as I walked out from the elevator into a blue sun drenched sky with the singular thought: “Well now. We’ve come. . .pretty far.”
One of the most relaxing, atmospheric and near sensual track ever laid for one of the most magnificent areas on all of mmorpg gaming history: Sky.. This lofty, yet tranquil track fits the ancient city of the gods perfectly like a skin tight leather glove. I have spent many a years in this area from helping my LS down legendary HNMS to just laying about chatting up with old friends and lovers. Thanks for the walk through memory lane. /bow
This is one of the most beautiful songs in existence and the atmosphere of sky matches it so perfectly. This song is the epitome of the meaning "pulling on your heart strings" 3 songs do this imo lufaise meadows after u beat promys this song after ZMs and Sea after finishing most of CoP. This composer is so godlike.
Nice to find more channels doing this type of thing. Albeit slight reluctant, of the whole HD-mod concept, as of course, as a "veteran player", I like to hold on to what I remember, even if it meant looking at gritty, pixel flowers and whatnot, but I do acknowledge the high levels of work and respect that went into this. In retrospect, I DID do "HQ" mods of my own, back in the day... the face of my own model and others I cared about. This really captures the sound nicely! Almost _preferably._ The other channel I've watched, often pick locations, where there are significant differences in the left and right channels. Not really meant to complain, but it does get a little tedious, having a waterfall on one side only, for over and hour. Very relaxing~!
Loved the zilart storyline ff11 will always be a piece of me I met so many cool people on this game some good friends I sure miss the good times I was a taru Cerberus and valefor servers and sea was hard to get to at 75 cap as well
I spent so much time farming Fire and Light clusters on BLM while talking to LS members here. One of my best memories was helping my BLM friend kill Despot as RDM/BST. Had a Flamingo whack it from behind while he kited it and I debuffed/nuked it. Good times.
Naoshi Mizuta and Uematsu truly created memories and sentiments we'll never forget. True artists.
I remember as BST charming birds and killing pots in sky this was a very long time ago, I'm 42 and still remember my ff11 adventures.
41 amen brother

I've been playing FF11 since the North America PC Beta and play modern retail (so good, btw!), and Sky is still top tier.
This game made me a better person! Thanks for the nostalgia!
how amazing the first time you reach SKY!!! will always remember Odin server!!! LimitBreak and BBQ Platinum 2 best LS ever :)

Yeah, just port it to the ff12 engine. Give your trusts gambits and go farm VE for 6 hours automatically.
Fell asleep so many nights with this running in background, relaxing and soothin
Same.. ugh

Very relaxing~!
They look great on the high pixel density displays it was designed for. The pixels weren't squares
Still my favorite area in all of XI. It's just so serene and beautiful. LOVE the ambient noises you added
Every time I think of this zone, I remember a guy in my linkshell randomly asking me "What's the auction house like in Ru'Aun Gardens?" 🤣
Thank you.
I remember being RDM/DRK and falling asleep before the big fight and waking up to my LS all dead lol.
I came here back in the days of bst soloing just to listen to this song 🎵
Loved the zilart storyline ff11 will always be a piece of me I met so many cool people on this game some good friends I sure miss the good times I was a taru Cerberus and valefor servers and sea was hard to get to at 75 cap as well
This is an awesome song to represent an ancient time

It would have been more fantastic if there had been a description of the rare aurora borealis.
What music is?
