I love seeing Dev in there actually doing the drills with the other players. I know you just helping the players next to you, but performing the drills and practicing yourself motivates them. Being a real student of the game even if the lesson is coming from your peers. A lot of people act like you gotta be Kobe Bryant in order to gain knowledge from them. You can get gems from the man standing next to you. Got major respect for you as a trainer. Keep it going.
i guess im asking the wrong place but does any of you know of a way to log back into an instagram account?? I was dumb forgot my login password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me.
@Julius Patrick Thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and im in the hacking process now. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
This is gold. Gives me a different perspective on how basketball can be taught. I think DJs breaking down basketball movements to the most finite small movements, and he repeats those movements over and over again to develop a strong foundation with the ball. Interesting stuff.
I love that a legendary college coach is still passionate about learning and getting better. A lot of you young players these days think knowledge is just supposed to come from nowhere. You are never too good to learn and take notes. Learn from people who understand the game and you'll always find something new. You only get to play this game for so long. Make it count. Rant over.
The intense vision that DJ and his guys have to make these boys and girls the best they can be is unmatched. You can see and feel the fire and also the sheer happiness from the trainers when the players master a move or execute a drill. Top notch stuff.
BallinDay96 i feel like Jahvon is overlooked and he seems like the type of guy u would actually see most of ur day and hoop with at the YMCA or some other gym cuz mfs be hiding they identity and shit lol
these drills are pretty damn great. So much more nuance to crossover, triple-threat -- constant footwork and body control. Props to Sackman (wish i had youtube in highschool)
I may have played ball well before Sackmann was born...but watching his drills makes me feel like whatever I was doing back then, it weren't basketball. : (
Kevin Durant well high school varsity is a playground for most of these players . The only time you see how good they are is when they are playing against each other.
Can someone explain how the hip move... the one where your hand goes to the side of the ball... I always thought that was a carry or rather I was always taught how do you dribble like that without carrying
Johnnie Blackwell he still kinda is but he's an adidas trainer and is not affiliated with team rio national(under armor) like Bryce Stanhope and Micah Lancaster
yall niggas not even finna believe this but #35b he goes to my school hes race thompson imma try to train with him this school year when imma 9th grader
These players look so lethargic like they don't want to be there. I dont know if theyre just trying to look cool or what. But it 10am and theyre at a bball camp for legends. Id personally be pretty excited busting my ass.
King Kendrick Lamar that had me lost for a bit to then saw the replay. preaty crazy stuff. glad dev got us with the hook up. i learn so much from these videos. i been playing for about a year now. im turning 17. i started late so anything i can leatn through any means is greatly appreciated :)
Semog Suiciniv yeah but when you see other shorts they're not that short, look at the Nba player or any uniform in tall players the shorts are right in the knee, that's shorts are definetly shorts asf
Matthew Martinez I was thinking the same thing, they do all this unnecessary ball handling moves lol, when you can just do the basics and be better off with them TBH
This is comical. White people are a funny bunch. You watch Black players play, study it and then want to come back and teach Black players like you're an expert on the mechanics. Watching the instructor you just know he couldn't execute those moves in 1 v 1 or game setting. 😂😂
Make Humanity Great Again what??? No dude he looked like he'd snap your ankles in a heartbeat. Shut up and get on the court before you talk about a grown man making money for things like this.
Way to miss my point guys. Larry Bird one of my fave players of all time is white. I'm not saying White players can't play basketball. What I'm saying is from my experience of camps a lot of the coaches demonstrating moves are White and some of them like this guy can't even pull off the moves they're teaching. Yet, you find a lot of them populating these camps. If Black players are the best players how is it that White coaches are the ones demonstrating the moves at most of these camps? There is a disconnect. Why would anyone have the arrogance of demonstrating something they haven't mastered themselves? And as a serious player, why would you want to learn from someone who isn't the best or one of the best or demonstrated mastery of what it is they are teaching? This is why a lot of kids don't maximize their potential. They're learning from the wrong people. It cost me quite a bit in development listening to arrogant (and White) highschool coaches who actually didn't know the game, but had the job. I've played basketball enough in my lifetime to know that I'd rip this guy pretty much everytime. Just the fact of the matter. He's not that good. He lacks rhythm and is way too effortful in his execution - all signs of the absence of mastery.

This is gold. Gives me a different perspective on how basketball can be taught. I think DJs breaking down basketball movements to the most finite small movements, and he repeats those movements over and over again to develop a strong foundation with the ball. Interesting stuff.

Meatwad never said it was easy just saying it’s not that hard
Kevin Durant well high school varsity is a playground for most of these players . The only time you see how good they are is when they are playing against each other.
Kevin Durant oh, well it is pretty hard.

Can someone explain how the hip move... the one where your hand goes to the side of the ball... I always thought that was a carry or rather I was always taught how do you dribble like that without carrying
Yann Kelsen Donastien it's ok to have your hand on the top and back of the ball. Just don't have it under it they'll call carry
@@jez9206 ....some Refs will call a carry anyway ...even just if it looks funny or odd in their eyes

These players look so lethargic like they don't want to be there. I dont know if theyre just trying to look cool or what. But it 10am and theyre at a bball camp for legends. Id personally be pretty excited busting my ass.

Semog Suiciniv yeah but when you see other shorts they're not that short, look at the Nba player or any uniform in tall players the shorts are right in the knee, that's shorts are definetly shorts asf
Yixuan Li People like their shorts short now, get with the times. Long shorts were so 2000
J Dawg Shorter shorts feel more comfortable to play in, your legs feel more free.
I like them just barely above my knee... no way in hell id wear them baggy
Nice carry 7:08

chris00721 Words of Wisdom!
chris00721 DAAAAAAMN
This isn't a hesi, though, this is a pocket dribble, you can pocket dribble without a hesi, but can't hesi without a pocket dribble
ehh.. easy drills (personally). don't agree with some/a lot of the mechanics. Decent drills I guess.. 😧
Pynk Dolph you must be some hesi god or something right?
Can I do this? Yes😂 but why would I? These were so useless and dumb. They let anybody coach nowadays don't they?
Matthew Martinez you're useless
Joseph Acevedo you're not an athlete. So your opinion is irrelevant. Bum
Matthew Martinez I was thinking the same thing, they do all this
unnecessary ball handling moves lol, when you can just do the basics and be better off with them TBH
This is comical. White people are a funny bunch. You watch Black players play, study it and then want to come back and teach Black players like you're an expert on the mechanics. Watching the instructor you just know he couldn't execute those moves in

Shitty troll DJ and JLaw would bake your dumbass rofl
